Files are not found in iTunes

Everything seemed fine, but after I added some new files to iTunes, the files were not found in the iTunes. What's going on??? It shows that the songs is being loaded into iTunes, but there's actually no file!!!

i just fixed this problem on my itunes today..i was about to go insane because i am so not computer literate.
what i did was:
-go to your start menu.
-click search (the magnifying glass icon).
-under pics,music,or video, search for one of the songs that
is showing "file not found",exclamation pt.
-when you find what file it is under,see if more of the
songs are in this file,too.
i got lucky,i found all of my music hiding in that file.
AND they were all in mp3 form,with the itunes symbol
(the green music icon)next to each of the songs.
the not-so-fun part was,i had to double click on each song (about 1000 songs,but i was willing to do anything after all the bs!).
this copied them to my itunes,and put a copied version next to the one with an exclamation pt.

What does this have to do with iTunes?
One does not pull up an account to access their media, they simply launch iTunes.
Changing a password has nothing to do with accessing the media on the computer when one launches iTunes.
What is the actual issue that is occurring?

Many random songs are not "found" by iTunes. How can I locate in bulk?

After I left external hard drive off, iTunes defalted to "c" drive for music file. I re-mapped itunes to my external drive yet many of my songs are not found. Why are some of my songs found while others are not? All the songs are on my external and when I individually "locate" not found songs they work fine. Is there a way to point iTunes to these songs in bulk rather than having to do each song individually??

Interesting, this is the first time I hear one can purchase songs via Facebook. Note that unless youpurchased the songs from iTunes, you will not be able to add them to the Music app on your iPHone.

Music files are not opening in itunes.

My music files will not open in itunes and is not recognised in the library. I have the files in the 'My Music' file however when looking at the music file it say the file is locked? is there anyway I can get my itunes to recognise the music files?

I finally removed those audio and video files from iPhone, although it will be tough to add them back to iPhone, but at least I saved the phone spaces.
I used software something like iTools, delete everything under File System / User / iTunes Control, then restart phone, that simple, usage count, spaces used are all correct now.

Song files are not found??????

I have vista, I open my itunes library and click on a song and a pop up comes up and says, " The song --- could not be heard because the orginal file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" I click yes and it opens up my music folder and I have a couple of things but I clicked on one, the one that shows all my musi but.... nothing! What happened. Should I go to my apple store. On my ipod it has all my songs so should I have a new account? help

i have the same issue with missing song files - i identify a few specific ones. However Id id check that my Itunes folder is in the "music" folder.
The 2 changes that happened are:
1. I migrated to a new windows laptop (vista) and did the migration of all files, program s etc... using pcmover from laplink (www.laplink.com)
2. I did a sync with my ipod shuffle on the new laptop,
I have currently 3 computers authorized. however
1. the desktop pc on which I originally did all the purchases as crashed, an di dont use it.
2. the old laptop is not used anymore either
3. the new laptop is my current system and library where i am seeing this issue.
any thoughts from you guys as to why I would be still experiencing this "missing songs" issue.

Gif and html files are not found

Hi everyone,
I am trying to deploy an application that I have written for websphere on iPlanet 6.5. The deployment is succesful and the application works but none of my images are shown. Also if I try to open my index.htm page it will not be recognized by the server.
I have noticed that if I put those file in the docs folder of my webserver they will be found but then of course the links are not correct any more because the the jsps and servlets are not in de NASApp folder.
Does anybody know a sollution for this. I don't want to rewrite my entire application just because I am changing application servers.

I'm not sure what you mean. The bottom line is that the webserver only forwards requests to the appserver that begin with NASApp (or whatever your token is).
So if your index page has the URL of http://myserver.mydomain/NASApp/myapp/index.html then a relative URL of images/home.gif will load the gif from the application server (since the broswer will actually request http://myserver.mydomain/NASApp/myapp/index.html ). If you use the URL /images/home/gif , then the GIF will be requested from the docroot of the webserver.

MP4 Movie Files are not added to Itunes Library

I have a Macbook Pro I just recently got a week ago, and I have been using Itunes in Mac OS X, but when I tried to add some of my MP4 movies into Itunes on Mac OS, the files do not appear in the library and there is not copy bar for copying the files into the Itunes folder. I have had this problem ever since I started using Ituens on Mac OS and I tried reinstalling Itunes and the same problem comes up. I know the problem is not with the MP4 files because I added the files into Itunes on Windows XP on my other computer and they are added just fine. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I think I figured out why the MP4 files were not being added into the Itunes Library, it is because Mac OS X apparently cannot copy files onto a Windows Formatted external harddrive, even though I thought I could.

Recently, I got rid of MacBook Air and replace it with MacMini Server (OS Lion 10.7.2 build 11C74) and installed Aperture 3.2.2 from the Store. MacBook Air has been backed up with Time Machine to externat HDD and data is kept within encrupted bundle. I have failed to restore the bundle to new Mac (due to multiple reasons they are irrelevant here), I have mounted bundle and copied the Aperture library and whole content (been using multiple methong copy with Finder and with cp -R command).
When I open Aperture, it performs migration of my old library format into a new one. A whole data is restored except the links to master they are broken. Aperture thinks that master files a stored on the /Volume/username, howevere ApertureData.xml has correct links.
I know that I can mannualy re-link the masters but I have plenty of files & plenty of events. What would be the best way to re-link a whole lib in obe shot?

Images and .properties(bunldes) files are not being found from my JSPs

I have created .ear file by using ANT Application. And deployed into Oracle9iAS(OC4J). Here problem is that images and .properties(internationalization bundles)files are not found from JSPs.
Here is my directory structure.
public_html--->locale -->BusinessEntity -->businessentity_en_US.properties
--->enterprise -->images -->knowldege.jpg
--->BusinessEntity-->BEAdd.jsp
in my jsp bundle(.properties)file is accessed like this:-
<i18n:bundle baseName="/locale/-->BusinessEntity/businessentity" id="businessentity" locale="<%= locale %>" />
in my jsp images accessed like this:-
src="/enterprise/images/knowldege.jpg".
In my working environment, without creating .ear file, images and .properties files are being found my JSPs. But if i create .ear file and after deploy, images and .properties files are not being found my JSPs.
please let me know where i might did wrong

Iphone not found in itunes

Help. My Iphone 4s and mini are not found in Itunes on my new HP ENVY dv6-7246us Notebook PC that is running windows 8. I have tried all four of the usb slots; eventually the mini was discovered however after a reinstall of Itunes, neither are found.

-Quicktime is updated
-I have tried simply dragging them into the 'movie' library
-I have tried going to file<add file to library

In addition to Mike's suggestions, you only have 4GB of RAM and Mavericks does use more RAM than other versions. You may also want to look at the apps that startup on login and the possiblity of upgrading RAM.

Updated to itunes 10.5 and Help files are not accessible

I have updated my itunes to 10.5 today but now the Help files are not accessible. I receive the following message - the request URL/itunes/win/10.5was not found on this server - Apache/2.2.3 (Oracle) Server at help.apple.com Port 80.

I have seen this before. You need to update the apps in your app store, and once they are updated, they will work again.

Does anyone know what to do after the IOS 5 update when it wont sync your music or apps or even register with itunes saying device is not connected/ the required file is not found?

My iphone after the update to IOS 5 (which i had problems updating first anyway) wont even register with itunes saying its still half way through a restore when its not i have already restored it 4 times but still wont sync music or apps or finish restoring my phone because it always comes up device is not connected or the required file is not found?
Any ideas?? ive gone the 02 shop and they just said to keep trying to restore it but its really not solving anything.

Unfortunately yes, though technology would never move on if it kept to older standards and did not strive to do more.
The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.
Sorry but you are stuck without new hardware.

Import iTunes Media Library, some files were not found problem

Hi guys,
I am trying to restore my music library info via importing from iTunes Media Library xml file I backed up. During import, iTunes gave me error message box saying that some files were not found and therefore won't get imported. After it's done, I checked the iTune and I noticed many of the music files did not get imported at all, even their locations are correct. Is it because iTunes stopped importing at the first entry that it found its location not existed and therefore skipped the rest all along? Even later ones might be valid. Is this the case?
Is there an easy way to find out what those entries are? So perhaps I could go and edit them directly in the xml file. The message box did not give much information
Any help would be really appreciated,

I have now experimented a little more and discovered that although Time Capsule (TC) is showing in Finder as a Shared Drive at laptop startup (and showing a status of a connected user, me) it is not actually 'mounted' in the true sense of the word i.e. the unmount/eject symbol is not showing next to it nor either of the drives connected to the TC. By clicking on either of the 2 drives (i.e. the TC 'Data' disk or the TC USB-connected drive) the status changes to show the dismount symbol on both the selected drive and the TC in the Finder side bar. Launching iTunes after this intervention works every time as per your advice. Not the Apple 'it just works' that I have come to expect and appreciate but at least I now understand how to make it work reliably..........many thanks and I hope Apple just makes it work sometine in the future
