Help please? When using USB to connect to my ibook the phone gives me this message: "Coneced as Storage Device: Some file and applications are not accessible". I then go to my desktop and search through my phone to find no files not to mention not showing up in iTunes. Could someone please help?

I am having a similar problem.
My RoKr was connecting and syncing properly until I performed the latest software upgrade (which upgraded both iTunes and iSync). After the upgrade my phone does not show up either in iTunes or on the desktop. When I plug the phone it indicates that it is connecting as a storage device and some file/applications will not be accessible. However the phone does not appear on the desktop or in iTunes. When I go into iSync the phone is only recognized via bluetooth, the USB connection is not detected.
I remain tuneless and await a solution...
PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.2)

Music I purchased on I Tunes is not available when I open ITunes in I Movie. I Movie says those files are "protected" and not accessible. What does that mean and can I change them to "unprotected" so I can use them in IMovie?

Most of the music that I purchased on I Tunes I bought and downloaded on my old I Mac which I replaced with this I Mac about 9 months ago. When I"m using I Movie on this I Mac and try to open I Tunes tab in I Movie, most of the files are not accessible because I Movie says those fields are protected. What does that mean and can I change those files to unprotected so they show up in my music in IMovie?
This I Mac is OS X version 10.9.5 Maverick, 2.7GHz Intel Core 15 processor, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 memory.

File Properties on JDS not accessible after install 122213-13 patch

After installation of Solaris 10 x86 Patch "122213-13 GNOME 2.6.0_x86: GNOME Desktop Patch" the File Properties on the Java Desktop System cannot be accessed anymore (right-click on a file -> select Properties). Accessing Folder Properties still works fine.
Workaround: Deinstall patch 122213-13
Do you have similar experience with that patch?

thanks for you help regarding the update manager.
Here some more infos re the GNOME problem:
I have installed Sun Solaris 10 x86 from the scratch on another machine, applied all patches sorted by release date.
Here is the result:
Patch 118919-19 installed --> reboot --> no problem with GNOME
Patch 124207-02 installed --> reboot --> no problem with GNOME
Patch 122213-13 installed --> reboot --> problem with GNOME
Patch 122213-13 uninstalled --> reboot --> no problem with GNOME
The interesting thing is also, if patch 122213-13 is installed, that after trying to open the file properties window in GNOME always the file browser window appears instead.
Unfortunately I am not an expert to find out what the root cause for the problem could be. Do you have any idea?

Imported files in LR but not accessible

I'm using LR 4 on a Mac.
I've been an LR user for three years.
I few days ago I imported 500+ images from a folder in Apple Finder into LR.
The import was successful because I deleted a few photos and made adjustments to a few right after finishing the import.
Today I went back into LR to continue working on the remaining images and the folder I imported them into is not visible.
When I search using a filename and Find under Libraray in LR, I'm told that no Photos match.
Trying to re-import the images results in a message that the photos are already in LR!

I have an access to the database Sharepoint_Config from current domain user and from other 2 users. All users have db_owner rights to the Sharepoint_Config database. But

Please help me. I don't understand why the script is launched from the sharepoint management shell but doesn't work from the cmd file.

I have an answer for my problem: for solving a problem I've made several steps:
1. Run farm installation under AD admin credentials - runas /user:Domain1\DomainAdmin1 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN\psconfigui.exe".
This user has been added as farm administrator in the wizard.
This user has been added as DBO in the SQL Server. (This is the main difference with my previous attempts)
2. Execute a command Add-SPShellAdmin Domain1\UserAccount1 in
the Management Shell of Sharepoint.
3. Run SQL server and add Sharepoint_Shell_Access to the Domain1\UserAccount1
(my main account) in the Config database
4. Run CMD file only from Start->Run menu.
runas /user:Domain1\UserAccount1 "C:\1.cmd".
Do not use Total Commander command prompt or file list for executing *.cmd of *.bat files without root administrator account.

Files in red, not syncing with their location

Haven't used my soundtrack in a while, but now have discovered the audio files are in red. I've located the actual files in my Loops folder and can play from there, but not in Soundtrack Media manager or timeline.
How can I sync the files back up?

Hi. I am having exactly the same problem. I have tried the "File > (Devices >) Transfer Purchases" option but not all PDFs get synced. I have not tried unselecting the "Manually manage music and videos" as it says that all songs on the iPad will be replaced with all songs in the iTunes library - which is too vast. I also have an issue that when I connect the ipad to my Windows XP PC iTunes doesnot see the ipad even though the Apple Mobile Servive is running. I have to restart this service evrytime to get iTunes to see the ipad.

Apple has really crappy NTFS read-only that does not always work. And it is probably a licensing issue.
Paragon Software is constantly being updated and supported with their NTFS for Mac OS X - they also have an HFS+ driver for Windows that works - Apple's HFS+ read-only driver for Boot Camp / Windows does not.
I keep seeing problems and lack of support for MacFUSE, that could change.

        Regarding to the dbv help,
        1. The data file is exists.
        2. The data file is not end with .dbf
             I tried the same command in other system, the particular data file able to be verified.
        3. How do we justify whether the data files are being locked or not ?

I have updated my itunes to 10.5 today but now the Help files are not accessible. I receive the following message - the request URL/itunes/win/10.5was not found on this server - Apache/2.2.3 (Oracle) Server at help.apple.com Port 80.

I have seen this before. You need to update the apps in your app store, and once they are updated, they will work again.

HELP (after XSAN controller crash files are not accessible)

Hi,
We are having a major issue with one of our XSAN setups. During my breah one of the Xsan controller crashed and burned. So a college that to resuce it by rebuilding the contoller and adding the Luns to the Xsan volume.
The files are not showing up but they are still there when doing a data recovery scan.
So where I Need help with (never done this before) to get the files back. What would be next steps to get the data back?
Oh yeah, I will veryfy this today but I think the LUNS have the same identifiers and LUN ID asigned as the previous controller settings.
This Xsan setup is made out of Mac Pro Mountain Lion Xsan 3.0 (controller), two Promise Vtrak E-Class Raids and one Sandbox.

I have tried from so many forms. This is so frustrating. Thank for everyone/anyone who wants to help. So this is what happened: I had to uninstall my previous sqlserver 2012(which worked great) for some reason, and I uninstalled everything from that download.
Then I installed the trial edition of sql server 2012 (64 Bit) and It wouldn't connect to the database. (Error mentioned above.) My local DB is COWBOYS. (COWBOYS is also my computer name.) After this, I have tried downloading sqlexpress and sqlserver 64bit
many times and cannot connect to my local DB.
How do I connect to my Local DB?
Also, I think this might help: (When I run sqlserve.exe, which I was able to find in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\LocalDB\Binn, I get an error: Your SQL server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with(Error getting
instance ID from name). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.
I would happily re install it, if it wasn't my 20th time.
I don't have any remote connections, I don't use username/password, only window authentication. I work mostly on visual studio, but without able to store /retrieve data, I don't know how to survive.
May be the solution is very simple, but I am too frustrated.

It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.
