Files in CC folder disappearing ... bug report
Creative Cloud Desktop version: 1.1.2.232
Premier Pro: up to date
File Sync is turned on
I am working on a Premier Pro project with files imported from stores in the Creative Cloud. My project organization mirrors the folder structure in the CCloud: video, audio, image, sequence, etc.
Twice, I have been working in the project file and received error messages that an object on the sequence timeline has gone missing. It is the same error dialog that appears when you open a project and the media links are broken. For example, I am working in a sequence call Peak Elevation, and an image file on the sequence timeline shows as no longer available. Instead of being pink, the color is red. The properties of the object are still available, but placing the media play head over the object shows the Media Offline message in the Program viewer.
The object also shows as missing in the Image folder in the Project panel. Reviewing the contents of the CCloud, the image file is missing in the Images folder. I reviewed the Archive, and it is not listed there as well.
The file has just disappeared.
This is the second time that this has happened. This same scenario occured about a week ago with a .wav file.
Any help is appreciated!!
This was helpful but I continue to have the problem. It just happened again about 5 minutes ago. I recevied a message from the Desktop app that a file has been removed. But it's a file that is getting used in an active project sequence (I have the project open right now).
Do I have to reach out to you every day to get back the items that have disappeared? Is there some way that I can see what has been removed and then recover them myself ?????
I sure hope you all are working hard to figure out WTH is going on here, cause this is making me doubt both CC and Adobe.
Regards,
Karen

Creating Rpt Conmgr Cache File In Temp folder while opening report from app
hi frends,
I m facing one problem with my Web based erp application which is developed in .net ,
in my application when i open the report from my applicaiton , in my temp folder there one file gets created name is "rpt conmgr cache"
bcoz of this for few records also my report takes too much time and opens very slow and it takes long time, and it happens in some of the reports only , other reports are working cool and its not creating any file in temp folder,,,
so can u guide me whats this file and what can be the solution for it,
Thanks
MithunI have never heard of "rpt conmgr cache" being created in any temp directory. Is that the actual name of the file you are seeing?
As you have not applied any updates, I'd recommend applying SP 4 to your development system. SP 4 is here:
https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006255422008E/crxir2_sp4_inc.exe
Next, I'd recommend getting the SP 4 runtime on the client. You have two options; MSI file of create your own deployment sing the msm files. The MSI file is here:
https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009657852008E/crxir2sp4_net_si.zip
MSM is here:
http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/crxir2sp4_net_merge_modules.zip
Also, I don't think I still have a good handle on this:
"my report takes too much time and opens very slow and it takes long time"
What is long time? Two seconds, two minutes, etc.?

Files in Document folder disappear
Started my computer this evening only to find that the folder “Documents” in Finder was empty. When I closed down yesterday there were documents and subdirectories in it. Using “Word” or “XL” I can open the documents which supports that they are not lost. When I try to save an open document back to the directory “Documents” I get a message advising that the file (document) already exits.
When I search for a known document in Spotlight the properties state that it is located in the “Documents” folder
Why can’t I see the contents of the “Documents” folder in “Finder”Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Re-launch Finder by restarting the computer and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.
Thanks to leonie for some information contained in this. -
Renaming layer disappears (Bug Report)
Renaming layer in the timeline may disappear on you.
This video shows you how to work around it.
However, this is a bug that needs to be addressed.
Wayne Barron
Dark Effects ProductionOn further testing I think the issue may not be directly related to layer masks at all.
Basically the issue is that the Gradient tool colors don't update to the 'default foreground/background colors' in cases where it seems that they should.
One example of such a case (as illustrated in the original post) is when the Gradient tool keeps the black/white color combo used for a layer mask in a previous document after switching to the current document where a non-masked layer is targeted and the default fg/bg colors have correctly reverted to white/white.
Example:
layer mask targeted in doc1 - notice synchronised Gradient and default fg/bg colors
after switching to non-masked layer in doc2, Gradient is still black/white although default fg/bg colors have reverted appropriately to white/white
Bug or not, it's something I wanted to point out as it seems inconsistent. -
[BUG] Reports vanishes and Export File cant be imported
Hi,
I do not know where to report a Bug for the SQL Developer, so i will do it here. (May be you should consider of creating such a WebPage as Part of the SQlDeveloper excange).
Description of the Bug:
I experienced already twice a loss of all my UserDefinded Reports in the SQLDeveloper. I start the SQLDeveloper and all my Reoprts are gone - no idea why. So because this already happend to me, I alwyays Exported my reports into a File. As ist ahppend again, i tryied to import my Reports into the SQLDeveloper, But when I click on "Import" In the Context Menu a FileDialog with the Title "Save" does open up. I then can choose my Import File and confirm it but it does not get imported, neigther does the export File get changes or so ...
I do not have any Idea what happend there, but I miss my reports very much!!!!!
regards
JoachimHi Joachim,
I'll address the logistics question first. Where to log bugs:
For the production software, you can log bugs through Metalink, if you have a Database Suppport License. This is the reason we do have a section on the Exchange for logging bugs. For any evaluation software releases we do, you can log bugs here on the forum.
If you are working between the evaluation release and the production release, your reports will disappear in the Production release. (See the 'before you install' in the Getting Started doc on our homepage). It sounds like the UserReports.xml file in the .sqldeveloper folder is being corrupted.
There is one thing I do to save reports I want to keep. I export the reports and save that file to another directory. Then go into Tools -> Preferences - Database -> User Defined Extensions. Now Add a row. Click in the "Type" field and select "Report" . Click in the Location field and browse for your file. (This is only available in 1.1 - you can do it in 1.1.0.21.97)
You need to click away from this filed to pick up that change. Then click OK. If you restart SQL Developer, you'll see a new folder called "Shared Reports". In the current evaluation release 1.1.0.21.97, only the Shared Reports folder is added, you still need to import the reports xml file. In subsequent builds and in the next build you'll have access to, the file of reports is open under this Shared Reports folder. These reports are not editable, but they are safe.
So you have a method for keeping your reports safe.
Regards

10.6 and this is still this is a problem?!?!?!?!
Not like this is an obscure issue only affecting a few noobs. Google returns 11,200 results on this issue!t'
Can we PLEASE at least allow the list of broken files to be dumped as a text file so I can find them manually! guess not,
I'll just have to get out a pencil and write down 100 songs to spend my saturday looking up and fixing. Or I could let my wife purchase 100 songs she already has whenever this comes up...
What's really infurating is that non-technical wife thinks this means she must go to the iTunes store and buy them again. Is it just coincidence that this only happens to songs that we ripped from the CD with iTunes? Hmmmm?....
what follows is for the programmers, please make sure this get's to the development group.
iTunes is the only music library manager, Media player was not even activated.
iTunes is configured to "Keep folder organized", "Copy files to folder when adding"
this has been a recurring issue since iTunes 9.x for us
The issue is persisted accross system and library rebuilds.
some of the same songs recurr but most of the time the list differs.
Library survived transfer to new computer and back for a system rebuild (new hdd) w/o this issue.
I'm guessing 100 songs is an arbitrary limit for error reporting.
Songs seem to get lost for the following reasons.
Track number added to filename
Spelling of some tags like Album, Artist, Title differ in iTunes library and the file path !!!!
Only seems to happen to mp3 files.
My suspicion is that iTunes is downloading meta data from the store and updating the mp3 tags and iTunes Music Library.xml then predicting the new file location without actually moving the file to that new location. I've enabled insert/update auditing on the NTFS folder to see if that provided any new info. I'm also capturing iTunes Music Library.xml so I can compare it to the new one WHEN this happens again and see if there is a pattern there.
Would love a bug number and feedback chanel on this. The missing file thing happens when files are no longer where iTunes expects to find them. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the files, or that the drive they live on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files in a relatively sensible structure, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .
Although you say you haven't used Media Player it can be raised as a background process by visiting enabled web sites. Possibly worth you reviewing this post: Getting iTunes & Windows Media Player to play nicely

Unlike Windows Media player iTunes doesn't have a feature to automatically update tag data, although it will sometimes spot when a 3rd party program has (say during playback) and then update its own copy of the data. The iTunes (Music) Library xml file is provided for querying by third party software and is rewritten every time there is a change to the library, but is otherwise of no relevance to iTunes. The library is maintained in the iTunes Library.itl file. I suppose what could be happening is that iTunes issues a command to the file system to move a file based upon its tag, updates its knowledge of where the file is supposed to be, but the OS fails to move the file for some reason. Alternatively everything could go as planned, but iTunes could fail to get the updated copy of the library written out to disk so next time you start you get the previously stored locations.
I have ideas of my own about the best way to organise my media, but I'm quite familiar with the way iTunes does it. It might be interesting to see the details of one of the broken tracks, the path iTunes thinks it is at, and the actual path, in case there is anything that can be deduced.
Apple don't run an open bug tracking system so you won't be able to follow reports/progress based on a bug number. You can drop a line to iTunes Feedback or get a free Apple Developer account and submit a bug report report there.

Bug Report: "Save For Web" creates undeletable temp files
This is an odd one but sometimes (maybe 1 in every 30 times) I am doing a "save for web" from PhotoShop it creates (in addition to the requested *real* file) an undeleteable temp file in the folder where the real file is being saved.
Here is how one looks:
This is what I see when I try to delete it:
Restarting the Finder from Activity Monitor makes this temp file disappear.
This started happening since I upgraded to an OWC Mercury Extreme hard drive so I suspect it has something to do with how files are deleted from it (but I have no evidence whatsoever to support this. :-) )

Bug Report Facility on OS X, Downloads Folder Bug?
Hi. I think there should be a reporting system in OS X built-in. They should maybe convert the Report bug on Safari into a suggestions and bugs reporting facility because Safari is usually the most common app that's open all the time. It's inconvenient to do so to go to Apple's suggetions and bugs reporting page in their website.
Also, when you go to the Downloads folder and put it on Arrange by Kind, some of the files on each category are not grouped properly (.dmg for example), they're separated. It also doesn't delete right away when you use Cmd-Delete, you have to do it more than once sometimes.
I hope the next update will have fixed most of the quirks.
Thank you in advance.
Gbu,

If you think you've found a bug in Photoshop CS6, please post your findings here on the forums.
Here is a list of the information we'll want for you to gather at a minimum:
Clear and concise steps so that someone who isn't in front of your comptuer can reproduce the issue you are seeing
Include information on the operating system/version you are running. (e.g. "Mac OS 10.7.3" or "Win XP Service Pack 3")
Here are some more detailed instructions for writing a useful, complete bug report for us on the forums:
Provide a descriptive title that includes your OS information:Example: "Photoshop crashes when I save a JPEG file using the File>Save For Web & Devices... command (Mac OS 10.7.3)"
Provide concise, step-by-step details on how to reproduce the issue you are seeing.
Example:
Open an 8-bit, RGB image by selecting File>Open...
Create a new layer by clicking the "Create New Layer" button on the bottom of the Layers panel
Paint on the layer created in Step #2 using the default Brush tool
Choose File>Save For Web & Devices...
Make sure the optimized format is set to "JPEG" and set the Quality setting to "80"
Click the Save button at the bottom of the Save For Web & Devices dialog, choose the desktop as the location for saving the file
Provide a description of the "Result" you are observing:
Example: "Result: Photoshop crashes"
If there is an error dialog, please include the exact wording displayed in the dialog or provide a screen shot or video of the entire screen so we can see the dialog as well as the state of the application - i.e. what panels are shown, the state of the Layers panel, etc.
If the error is a visual defect, either in the user interface or the image itself, provide a screen shot or video of the entire screen so we can see the dialog as well as the state of the application - i.e. what panels are shown, the state of the Layers panel, etc.
Provide a description of the "Expected Result":
Example: "Expected Result: Photoshop to save JPEG file to the desktop, no crash"
In some cases this may be obvious (such as in the case of a crash) but in others, what you expect to happen may be different than what the application was designed to do. Please be as specific as possible.
Provide the crash log by submitting all crash reports, including your email address, for every single crash your encounter:
You may also include the contents of your crash log in your forum posts as well, but always submit them using the above instructions as well.
Crash logs are located on Macintosh here: Users/<your user name>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter
Provide your System Info from Photoshop: What's even more useful is if you can share your System Info from Photoshop as it contains all kinds of useful information (OS/version, graphics card, driver version, 3rd party plug-ins used, etc) that will help the team track down your issue.
On occasion, the Photoshop engineers may request that you provide problematic files in order to reproduce and debug your issue.
In these cases, please post the file somewhere using your own servers or one your favorite online document/distribution services and provide a URL/instructions to download the file:
Dropbox
Adobe SendNow
YouSendIt
If the file isn't something you can post publically, you can request that someone from the engineering team contact you to figure out a secure way to get the affected files.
Thanks,
The Photoshop Development TeamFirst thing would be to realise the exact error. Second would be to check your logs to see what you have installed/upgraded which might be causing this error. Third, google your error and see if matches turn up. Fourth, search in Arch bugtracker to see if a match exist. Else file a report.

[Bug Report!]Adobe Reader can not display 3D file normally!
I have a 3D pdf file, which is produced by Asymptote, and some labels in the 3D model, can not be displayed normally in the Adobe Reader, even the latest version 9.4.I got this file by
$asy -file pdf -render=4 file.asy
while all of them can be displayed in the OpenGL mode.
$asy -V file.asy
I hope you can give me a message about the reason and tip about how to solve the problem.
thank you very much!

How to file a bug report?
Hi there I'm using a Sony Z3 Compact with Lollipop 5.1.1 and after the update, there is no longer any message on the lock screen, telling me the remaining charge time. I've read others saying the same thing, so I'm definately not alone. I'd like to file a bug report somewhere, but where does one do so? Kind regards, Martin
Is it something you can do, or can you point me in the right direction?

How/where to file a iphone bug report by a user
i am just a user. i am not a developer. i would like to file a bug report regarding a bonjour networking "feature."
the issue is discussed in the following apple kb.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3389
the solution is not unreasonable especially when dealing with a Microsoft Active Directory. with that being said, it looks like newer versions of the OS X have resolved this issue.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3473
i would like this fix in the OS X to be included in iOS 4. how do i file a bug report?http://apple.com/feedback

How do I file Bug Report? Labview FPGA
I'm not sure if this is a software bug or what, but I'm trying to run the Analog Input example project for Labview FPGA , in "Find Examples >> Hardware Input and Output >> R Series >> Basic IO >> Analog Input - R Series".
The thing is, it works.. mostly.. I manage to send in a sine wave, and see it. However, every now and then, when I set teh Waveform Graph X-axis to autoscale, and change the Update Mode, every time I put it into mode Scope Chart, it freezes my computer, and I have to physically power off my computer and power it back up (which i'm not happy about). I'm using the default settings for the example, my card is in RSE mode, input signal at 25 Hz, 4V p-p
I doubt anyone can guess why this is happening, but is there any way to file a bug report?
Thanks,

2... The example works fine for me. The EQUALS function works just fine for strings. Be aware of some things, though:
Case matters. If you want to ignore case, then uppercase both strings (or lowercase them) before comparing.
Length matters "X" is not the same as "X ". "123" is not the same as "1234".

Could someone please explain to me how to file a bug report?
Hi,
I had a problem recently with a bug in uevnts. I found a workaround for it, However when I went to open a bug that had similar symptoms the user got mad and closed the bug. Could someone please explain to me what I need to do to correctly file a bug report, and please don't say read the wiki. As in order to get log files, I need to know where they are, etc...
Thanks,
MarcoRosso. What questions remain after consulting the wiki? Maybe you can post the bug report in question, so it will be easier for others to point out how you could have responded more constructively. First general place to look for log files is /var/log/*.

Bug report - font disappear in the component tree
bug report - font disappear in the component tree

from Peter ([email protected])Any more information? Does this always happen? Sometimes?
Does it depend on the font used in Eclipse?
Does it depend on the Eclipse theme used?
What distro/version of Linux are you using? What window manager?
