Files never finish attaching in email?

When I try to attach a file to an email, the attachment progress bar goes almost to the end and then just sits there with the spinning circle and never finishes. I have downloaded the latest version of Firefox, reset Firefox several times but still have the problem. The version installed is 30.0 in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OS.
IE had the same problem, but resetting it solved it.

    How do I scan a photo to a file and then send the file as an attachment  via email.

    All of this depends largely on what printer /software you have, which Email client you use and to some extent which OS you are running.
    Most HP printers have HP Solution Center which is used to set up scanning,choosing where to save,etc. Once a file/photo is scanned and saved to the folder, open the folder.Select the file and at the top of the window should be the option to 'Email'.

  • How to send PDF file as an attachment in email?

    Hi Folks,
    I have successfully configured SMTP and by now I can successfully send normal text messages along with .TXT files. However, when I am trying to send an email along with .pdf file as an attachment, I am getting the mail in my inbox, but I cannot open the .pdf file! I am getting the following Acrobat error:
    Acrobat could not open 'abc.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted
    Can any help me in solving this problem?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Vajha,
    Thanks alot for your kind reply. I also express my apologies for responding to your reply lately.
    I beleive all the links you have sent me are talking about ABAP coding. what I am interested in is,
    is there any configuration that I am missing in SCOT (Basis side)?
    Since I am not an ABAPER, so I carry out these activities.
    Can anyone please answer the following queries of mine:
    1. Can't we send any PDF attachment in a mail from R/3?
    2. Do we have to do it through coding only?
    3. In scot we have option "All formats except fllw". But it does not work for me. Any inputs?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Use the function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
    We find it convenient to use a custom function module as a wrapper for that.
    Here's the code.
    FUNCTION Z_EMAILS_ATTACH.
    ""Local interface:
    *"  IMPORTING
    *"     VALUE(EMAIL_SUBJECT) LIKE  SODOCCHGI1-OBJ_DESCR
    *"     VALUE(ATTACHMENT_SUBJECT) LIKE  SOPCKLSTI1-OBJ_DESCR OPTIONAL
    *"     VALUE(ATTACHMENT_DOC_TYPE) TYPE  SO_OBJ_TP OPTIONAL
    *"     REFERENCE(ATTACHMENT_HEADER) LIKE  SOLISTI1 STRUCTURE  SOLISTI1
    *"  TABLES
    *"      EMAIL_BODY STRUCTURE  SOLISTI1
    *"      EMAIL_ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE  SOLISTI1 OPTIONAL
    *"      RECEIVERS STRUCTURE  SOMLRECI1
    *"  EXCEPTIONS
    *"      UNKNOWN_COMMUNICATION_TYPE
    *"      ERROR_SENDING_MAIL
    *"      EMPTY_ATTACHMENT
    *"      NO_ATTACHMENT_SUBJECT
    *"      USER_HAS_NO_EMAIL_ADDRESS
    *"      NO_RECEIVERS
    NOTE
    Single-testing when the tables passed to the function have reference
    structure SOLISTI1 meets with a problem.
    Entering non-blank rows into these tables is impossible, it seems.
    This is believed to be because the single testing fails to cope with
    the width of SOLISTI1-LINE [255 char].
    For single testing, use CVDTLINE as the reference structure - it's
    only 132 char.  Then remember to change it back to SOLISTI1...
    Based on Z_EMAIL_ATTACH which sends just one mail.

  • Sending an input pdf file as an attachement via EMAIL adapter in PI

    Hi XI Experts,
    Kindly request you to help in the below issue:
    I have a File to EMAIL interface in which the file  channel would pick up a file "Test.pdf".
    This file should be sent as an attachment to a number of receipients as it is without any formatting of the content.
    In other words, XI should pick the file and attach it as it is as an EMAIL.
    There is no need of any mapping changes.
    We are giving the receipients during runtime hence, we have done dynamic configuration.
    Kindly suggest how to attach the file as it is in the EMAIL.
    Thank you.

  • How to attach a text file as an attachment to email message?

    Hello Everybody,
    I have a .csv file, in which details about emp-id, emp-name, e-expenses for Reimbursement and email address are stored.
    My application reads this .csv file, and sends a mail to each employee with his id, salary details in text format. (by changing content type to "text/plain") The code is working fine. But,
    My problem is:
    The message is sent as message body to the end user.
    The end user / the person who receives this mail will not be a technical person. So,
    1) If he trys to take a print out of this e-mail, He get only half of it.(as no. of colums will be more than paper size).
    2) I am finding alignment problem. IF employee name is too big, other columns will shift to right and data will not be exactly under column header. (it is going in zig zag way)
    So, I thought sending text file with all the details as an attachment might do well.
    But, I don't know how to attach a text file to email-message body.

  • Need .ZIP file as an attachment in email

    Hi,
    I have developed a report which converts the ALV grid into a PDF and into .ZIP file. Finally ZIP file gets downloaded using GUI_download.
    My client wants the .ZIP file as a mail attachment but not as a download.
    Here is my final bit of code.
      CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
        EXPORTING
          buffer        = zip_file
        IMPORTING
          output_length = bcot1
        TABLES
          binary_tab    = file.
        CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'
        EXPORTING
          bin_filesize = bcot1
          filename     = file_path
          filetype     = 'BIN'
        TABLES
          data_tab     = file.
    How to replace the Download with email? I tried using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 but I am not getting email. I also check in SOST for my transmission request but I ma not able to find my request.

  • Sending an excel file as an attachment to email

    Hi,
       I am using FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' to send an excel file to an email ID.But the mail is going to the SAP inbox and it is posting not to the external mail ID like ([email protected]).
    Please suggest me on this.
    Regards'
    Ved.

    Hi
      The mail sending process depends on how your company's mail server has been setup. Check the mail server setup with ur basis/network team. Moreover, go to transaction SCOT and manually trigger the mail sending process.
    In this transaction check the SMTP settings if it is set to *ALL.
    Moreover, try to manually trigger the send process in SCOT. There is a button called 'Start Send process'. After this check if the mails are still in your SAP Outbox. You can even trigger the send process from within your ABAP program by submitting the program RSCONN* (Try to search with this initials)
    Please award points if this was helpful.

    When I installed I ended up with a second copy of Adobe Manager.  I deleted the file for the second copy.  I also had a copy of PhotoShop CS5 from a dvd already installed on my computer.  How do I fix this?

    I am sorry what difficulties are you facing with Adobe Bridge?  You may want to search and post in the Bridge forum at http://forums.adobe.com/community/bridge/general.

    hi Vinod,
    Can you please tell me how you have zipped the file.
    I am having a text file in application server. I need to zip that file. Then the middleware moves it to Legacy system.
    I used the following code. With this I am having the data in Binary format which my midleware cannot understand.
    What I need on the whole is just to reduce the size of the file.
    form ZIP_FILE .
    DATA: lt_data TYPE TABLE OF x255,
          lt_textdata TYPE TABLE OF x255.
    DATA: ls_data LIKE LINE OF lt_data.
    DATA: lv_dsn1(100) VALUE '/ECD/120/GIS/FTP/IB/DNBPAYDEX.TXT'.
    DATA: lv_dsn3(100) VALUE '/ECD/120/GIS/FTP/IB/DNBPAYDEXZIP.zip'.
    *DATA: lv_dsn3(100) VALUE '/interfaces/SM5/test.zip'. " Contains sample1.xls and sample2.xls
    DATA: lv_file_length TYPE i.
    DATA: lv_content TYPE xstring.
    DATA: lo_zip TYPE REF TO cl_abap_zip.
    CREATE OBJECT lo_zip.
    Read the data as a string
    clear lv_content .
    OPEN DATASET lv_dsn1 FOR INPUT IN BINARY MODE.
    READ DATASET lv_dsn1 INTO lv_content .
    CLOSE DATASET lv_dsn1.
    lo_zip->add( name = 'sample.TXT' content = lv_content ).
    lv_content = lo_zip->save( ).
    *clear lv_content .
    Conver the xstring content to binary
    CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
    EXPORTING
    buffer = lv_content
    IMPORTING
    output_length = lv_file_length
    TABLES
    binary_tab = lt_data.
    OPEN DATASET lv_dsn3 FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
    LOOP AT lt_textdata INTO ls_data.
    TRANSFER ls_data TO lv_dsn3.
    ENDLOOP.
    CLOSE DATASET lv_dsn3.
    IF sy-subrc EQ '0'.
        MESSAGE s999(zfi_ap_gl) WITH text-t10.
      ENDIF.
    Can you please help.
    Thanks Aravind
