Files Not Founds (Drag and Drop)

Hi everyone,
I have a 32gig Playbook, which was working just fine until I updated last night (the one with the video chat release). I can no longer view documents (like pdfs) and videos that I drag and drop into the Playbook. When I say I can't view, I mean the files don't even show up for me to click on like it normally does.
I have tried it on both Mac and PC, and it worked on both prior to the update. So, does anyone have a solution or an explaination as to why this is happening?

When transferring the file, are you using the Desktop Software? Do you get confirmation the transfer has completed?
Not sure if you have tried the method listed in KB26068, but have a look. I was able to tranfser data using the new version and the transfer did complete for me.

Creating a file that has drag and drop feature

I'm working on a memory experiment and I want to create a file with a drag and drop feature. I set an image as layer 1, and several images as layer 2. I would like to create a file where people can drag and drop on of the images from layer two onto a slot in layer one. Ideally I would like it to remain stable if the place an image in the slot (meaning if they try to place one of the images from layer 2 into layer 1, I want it to allign perfectly).

Check if using the Smart Guides snapping is something that could be useful for this. If the size of the objects are exactly the same the snapping is relatively easily when trying to put one object on the place of another. If the sizes are not the same then the center point indicator should be used as a target which require a little bit more effort. However enabling the Smart Guides is not a file feature, the user has to turn it on/off in Illustrator affecting all open documents.

Open dialogue box in Lion is not supporting drag and drop files (UPDATE)

This is freaking me out. Because now in Lion you can't drag and drop file from the desktop (and other folders!) to open dialogue box. It was most usefull function in Mac OS X. Why Apple kill usabillity?
Access to the desktop is not a problem (command + d), but if the current file is located deep in the hierarchy of folders, it becomes a big problem!!!
Dear Apple, please fix it as soon as you can.

I was thinking about why the songs arent importing and I feel that its either, A) the format of the files has changed since you last imported them, or B) you may need to rebuild the iTunes library.

If your Podcasts list in iTunes is empty after following these steps, learn how to add them back into iTunes.

File Upload via Drag and Drop in IE10

The drag-and-drop file upload feature introduced in Spaces PS5 is great but it is not compatible with IE9 and earlier versions (see link below).
Has anyone tried using drag-and-drop with IE10? Did it work?

I'm using the Windows version of Acrobat Pro 9 and found this thread with the same problem. (Key command to replace on Windows is: Ctrl + Alt).
Anyway, to answer the how to disable the warning, go to the Acrobat Preferences. In the General category under "Warnings", check the setting "Do not show edit warnings". There should be a similar setting on the Mac version.
(Now I wish replacing pages didn't require a key command like in previous versions.)

Itunes 11 "add to library" not working (drag and drop too)

I just updated to itunes 11 and the add to library function is not working both manually and drag and drop. I used to be able to add a video to the itunes media file, click add to library, click the file and it would pull it in to itunes. None of this works including the drag and drop feature. The preferences folder is set correctly.....please help.

It appears movies added to iTunes manually (not purchased through iTunes), are automatically put in the "Home Movie" media kind/category. I don't remember this kind in previous iTunes, but maybe it's just not one I used. I've seen where this is due to using MetaX, but I don't think so as "Home Movie" is not an option in MetaX. I cannot find any option in iTunes preferences to change this. Maybe Apple will change this in an update - I hope so. For now, I just go in and manually change this in the movie Info setting. I keep all of my movies in digital format, so this is a bit of a pain.

In summary, the system cannot find the files server.1.log, security.1.log, database.1.log and applications.1.log. I tried manually adding these files (I created them on my computer and left them empty) on the path written, but it did not work, for some reason they are deleted.

Nothing really seemed to work when trying to solve this problem, just suddenly it stopped appearing. It might have been our installation of SPS 15, since it was around that time that the error went away.

Startup screen displays a "File not found" error and I can't lack in a startup or home page.

When I startup Firefox, I get:
File not found
Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/omni.jar!/browserconfig.properties.
Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.
Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
When I go into Tools>Options to set my home page, it works one time and then reverts back to : resource:/browserconfig.properties
I can't go to Firefox 9 because applications I need are not supprting it, yet.

Does anybody know about analog for note 762640 for SRM 7.0,
Because the problem is:
If the position or the business partner of a user is assigned to a different organizational unit by drag and drop or by de-/assign in Transaction PPOMA_BBP, they become inconsistent because tables BUT050 and BUT052 are not adjusted.
Does anybody know about solving this problem ?

In order to process the SC from Sourcing Cockpit, we should have the authorization for t-code BBPSOCO01 in our User roles.
So, you can chcek the z-roles in your system with this t-code authorization in SUIM and add to your profile.

ITUNES 9.2 NOT SUPPORTING DRAG AND DROP TO TOAST CORRECTLY

APPLE is turning into MICROSOFT!!! The new iTunes update to 9.2 may be necessary for iPhone 4 to work but they missed a whole bunch of things. For example when I drag a track from my iTunes window to the desktop I used to see the file on the desktop with the artwork INCLUDED as the file's icon - now when I drag it the artwork is no longer included in the thumbnail nor when I hit the space bar to preview the track can I see the artwork - something I used a lot when I do my job reviewing music - sometimes 200 track per week so it has ruined my process of working with music files in large quantites.
Also - I always found that iTunes never correctly embeds the text info for each track into CDs whenever I used the program to burn CDs. Often when I am DJing in a club the text info would not show on the CD player screen. I found that Toast would do this perfectly everytime regardless of what model CD player I was working with. So I would grab an entire playlist from iTunes and drop it into the Toast window and simply hit burn.
NOW in 9.2 I can no longer select an entire playlist and drag it to Toast. I have to drag all the files out of iTunes, into a folder where the files sort themselves into random order so I then have to reassemble the playlist track by track in Toast - this takes 10 times longer or more.
By forcing these unwanted practices upon us APPLE is turning into MICROSOFT!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I think what people have to realize is as updates come up, code changes. This therefore may not result in best compatibility with other software, and you have to admit, it's not Apple's responsibility to make sure every single other software is ready to work with a new version, it is rather the programmers of Toast, or whatever else you use. Apple needs to worry about their program alone.
Maybe Toast will release an update. Not to say iTunes 9.2 isn't due for further fixes. There are problems with the artwork viewer, artwork, and iPod syncing, but those will come in time. I really think this is just a consequence of Apple revamping their system (for example, to result in quicker performance for cover flow and grid view), and bugs and incompatibilities will always surface from that.

Sorry if this is a re-post, I had a look though but couldn'r find the answers I'm looking for.
I just upgraded to iTunes 7.
first all my playlists dissapeared, and after many hours I recreated them.
Now, suddenly everytime I try and play a track I get "orriginal file could not be found" if I locate it when given the option it plays it, but I dont want to do this for all 3000 songs. I reimported all my files from my iTunes music folder, bu now I just have 2 copys of everything, one with an ! symbol and one without. I don't really want to go through and delete the bad file, aswhen I do that it goes out of my playlist and I would have to start those all over again, again. Whats going on and how do I fix it?

i deleted itunes off the computer and reinstalled it. worked ok apart from i had to recreate all my playlists again!

After Effects CS3 error: file not found -43 and TIFFIO failed to open the file

I am experiencing a problem with AE CS3.
I have several TIFF sequences (with alphas) that are giving me a headache. When I import them into AE, I get an "AEGP Plugin TIFFIO: Failed to open the file" error.
I researched the forums and found that this could be related to odd formatting of the source media (my TIFF sequence). I created these TIFFs in Maya 2008 and I have imported other sequences made with Maya into AE with no issues.
Just to be sure, I created a Photoshop droplet that re-saved my TIFFs as Photoshop TIFFs with the same names.
I re-imported the new Photoshop TIFF sequences (still with alphas) into AE CS3, and I get the same error.
Any ideas? I don't know what to do next.

Your USB drive may have had a weird character in it's name.
AE can't read CMYK images, that is usually the problem.
Imported images do not have to conform to any specific sizes (unless you want to go over 30,000 x 30,000 pixels.)
