Files not opening in the cloud?

I am trying to get to the photos I loaded to the cloud but only get spinning squares.

MrHolly, I feel your frustration as this morning I again have this same issue!!!
I make no excuses for Adobe Cloud but have come to the realization that as far as Cloud Services are concerned Adobe is not able to deliver them at this time, admits it can't and while not coming right out and saying it, is depending on its paying customers to evaluate and test the Cloud while they build it. With that said, there is some good to be said of the Creative Cloud. If you have not previously used all the software included in the Creative Suite the $32/month subscription is a good thing that lets you try all of the software. If however, like me you only really use Dreamweaver and Photoshop you lost a lot of money jumping on the Creative Cloud band wagon.
I can only tell you what I and my company have decided to do. We are going to continue the Adobe Cloud Subscription for the year and ensure we use EVERY piece of software we can. If we don't use it we are going to find someone who can! We are purchasing DVD upgrades to those software titles we do use regularly so that at the end of the year we'll have software we can still use. We have, as of this morning, totally given up on Adobe's files in the cloud vision as being a determent to our business. We are currently evaluating Apple’s iCloud and Google Drive as being a possible solution provider to Adobe’s files in the cloud vision.
Yes, as a photographer, Chief Technology Officer and a stake holder in my company I am disappointed in Adobe but more disappointed in myself for believing the hype over Adobe Creative Cloud. I’ve made 3 bad and costly business decisions recently; MAX, Photoshop World Conference and making the boss buy 3 subscriptions. As business people the best we can do is make the best of this situation.
I know for me and my company we will not be attending anymore Adobe conferences or purchasing any new software or services from Adobe. Instead we are going to use only proven technology and try not to embrace the “bleeding edge”. For me I’ve lost faith in Adobe that use to be such a great company. It appears they’ve taken a playbook from Microsoft by releasing software and services that are not ready and are buggy, knowing that their customers had no choice but to upgrade as they have become the biggest boy on the block.
So here are your choices MrHolly, as I see them; keep using the Adobe cloud for files while providing the much needed feedback that Adobe is counting on to develop their files in the cloud vision or find another service that can provide what Adobe hyped the cloud to be. Let’s be honest, we are not going to throw away our Adobe software because their cloud doesn’t work. We know it and they know we know it.
I’ll see you over at iCloud or Google Drive

  • Spreadsheet not opening from the cloud

I have a number of Numbers, spreadsheets saved on the cloud. 2-3 of them will no longer open.  I have tried duplicating and renaming but neither option helps.  Does anyone know of any further options I can pursue?

I'm having the same issue.  Rebooting the computer fixed it (for now at least).
I do recall similar issues in the past, but don't use iWork often so can't recall the solution then.  Of note, the spreadsheet in question opened fine on the iPad.

  • Files not available in the cloud. Where are they?

I've uploaded 2 files to the cloud but they are not visible there in my files. If I try to upload them again then a mesage tells me I already uploaded them. Where have they gone?

Which Cloud? You can be storing files on Adobe’s Cloud services, Acrobat.com, and any number of other 3rd party Cloud services.
How are you uploading them to the Cloud of your choice?

  • Why are my ".pdf" files not opening in Creative Cloud? The tumbril shows up as a blank page!

I just switched over from Adobe Acrobat Cloud to Creative Cloud; a tedious task. Most of my files open up fine, but some of them show up as a blank page thumb nail. They do have ".pdf" extension. Any ideas as to why this is happening, and what I can do to correct the issue?
    Ty

    @masood131 - A few questions:
Are the pdf files without a thumbnail password protected? (Probably not but just checking since we will not be able to provide a preview for such a file).
If you click on the blank thumbnail to view the individual file page do you see a larger preview image, or is that blank too?
If you refresh the browser page does the thumbnail image show?
If you upload the file a second time do you see a thumbnail image?
If there is a problem with a specific file feel free to share a link with me via a private message and I can investigate further.

  • Files not accessible on the cloud

    Hi everybody,
I am an Adobe Story Plus subscriber and I have a really annoying issue.
So I use the same log-in credentials on both computers (an iMac and a MacBook Pro), I use Adobe Story Plus Desktop and always work online.
The problem is that the files available on my computers are not the same. It seems like my laptop won't synch with my account.
Does anyone know how I can fix this and make sure my files are synched on every computer I'm using?
    Thank you !
    Julien

    Hi Rashi,
Yes I work online on both computers. There's a green dot on each session but still the synchronization doesn't look the same from a computer to another.
Can we schedule a connect for today around 2pm EST ?
    Thanks,
    Julien

Newly installed Acrobat will NOT open from Creative Cloud app on Desktop using Windows 7 Pro - what's the problem?

the cc desktop app is used to install and update cc programs (and a few other thinigs).  but that does not include 'opening' the installed programs.
click your start button or your program files directory to find the acrobat executable to launch acrobat (and any of your other apps, adobe or otherwise).

  • I need to install iWork 09 so I can open the many pages document files that will NOT open under the new pages 5. Mavericks will not accept an install from my iWork's 09 CD. How do I get around this?

I need to install iWork 09 so I can open the many pages document files that will NOT open under the new pages 5. Mavericks will not accept an install from my iWork's 09 CD. How do I get around this?

Hi, I'm helping StringSinger2 with this problem.
The previously installed version is Pages 3.0.3 (the same as from iWork 08). This version (Pages 3.0.3/iWork 08) is incompatible with Pages 5.
That is why it would be helpful to install iWork 09, which is the version between the two. It will open the older 08 files, and its saved files are readable by the new Pages5.
    SO...
When I try to install iWorks 09 from my retail DVD the error message is "the installer is damaged". (I know the dvd is good, I installed iWorks09 to my laptop today.) Is the "installer" part of the system files? And - If that is damaged is there a patch for that?
    Many Thanks!

  • How can i setup pages to automatically open when double clicked.  Currently when I double click it creates cpgz file and does not open.  The only way to open pages doc is to manually ask to open with pages.

    Hi Karen,
Sounds like OS X has lost the association between Pages and its files.
Start by quitting Pages, then going to Finder.
In Finder, locate a .pages file. Click on it (once), then press command-I (eye, not one) to Get Info.
In the Info window that opens, expand the Open With section.
In this section, click on the pop-up menu and choose Pages (even if Pages is already shown).
Click the Change All button to associate all files with the .pages extension with Pages.
    Close the info window.
Double click any .pages file to check that Pages will now launch and open the file.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • Consistently does not open, gives the error: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla\firefox.exe Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may no

Installed FF 16, 17, 18. Will not open in normal administrator login, nor with "Run as administrator" but will in W7 safe mode. Changed permissions (had to do it in W7 Safe Mode, normal login would not allow (logged in as an administrator) could not delete the Mozilla files in normal login. On rare occasions, with a new install, I could get it to open once, then not again. Searched the reg for any mention of Mozilla or FF and cleaned it. Tried FF safe mode, no luck. Checked permissions after taking ownership and propagating full ownership rights to all FF files, many reboots, no luck. Chrome, IE and SeaMonkey work fine. Using a fairly new install of W7 Professional 64 bit, on a Dell Optiplex 990 i7, 16GB ram. Had the same problem with another user on an identical box. No problem on other computers No other program problems.

I should have been a bit more definitive.
I have uninstalled FF, with the windows uninstaller, by manually cleaning the files and the registry of any mention of FF or Mozilla, and by running Revo uninstaller - always rebooting and checking to see if the files are indeed gone. (I have set windows file preferences to see all files, including system files.) I have run 4 AV/malware scanners and found nothing but a few tracking cookies. I download, from Mozilla.org, (http://download.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/18.0/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2018.0.exe) a fresh copy of the Firefox Setup 18.0.exe each time and install when logged in as an administrator and choose "Run as Administrator". I get the same result each time I try to open Firefox. Consistently does not open, gives the error: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla\firefox.exe Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." This happens even when I run the .exe file from the x86 program directory. I have also attempted to run in XPsp3 compatibility mode to no avail,
    I make the following assumptions:
    The system is not infected
    I am doing clean installs
There is no existing trace of FF on the system
I get identical results on one other W7 64 bit Optiplex 990 system with an i7 processor and 16 GB or ram.
I CAN run in windows safe mode with networking.
I have no other software or hardware issues.

  • Windows CS4 files will not open on the Mac

How come Windows CS4 files will not open on the Mac version?

    MCR wrote:
Where are you getting your info from as I have personally opened a Windows After Effects project on the Mac many times!
Anyway Adobe state they are cross platform so this is pretty missleading !
MCR, you asked in your previous post:
"Is that true of all CS4 project files like Premiere Pro and After Effects?"
    I answered:
    "No."
Which means After Effects and Premiere project files are cross-platform. But Encore projects are not cross-platform.
    Is that clearer?
Regarding your last sentence, if you're referring to AE and PPro files, that is true. But it is not true of Encore project files.

  • EML files are not opened in the browser

EML files opened from a SharePoint 2010 document libraries are not opened in the browser. Instead, a dialog box is opened and prompts to save the file.
Since there's no standard application that knows how to handle EML files, and since the EML format is built into SP (send emails to document libraries), I think this behavior is unacceptable.
EML files should be opened in the browser, similar to SP 2007.

Seems the solution is in the client side configuration.
If eml files (as all other file types) are not configured to open by default in Outlook 2007 (or Windows Live Mail), they will be prompted for download or open.
The registry change link I provided earlier did not work for me. I tried this:
    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:-hgG6T55trAJ:john-h-selnes.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!6C7F16530F119E8D!3092.entry+how+to+configure+sharepoint+to+opem+eml+file+in+outlook+2007%3F&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&source=www.google.com and
solved my problem. Seems by default eml file set to MIME message/rfc822 and associated with windows live mail - SharePoint team hates Outlook team, right?
If you do not have such assoication, it opens in browser!
My settings: MOSS 2007, windows 7, outlook 2007.

  • TS1506 I have a problem opening some email attachments. They will not open in the mail application on an IPad Air

I recently upgraded from an iPad 1 to an Air. One of its main uses is to avoid printing volumes of papers for meetings, so the abilty to open attachments with mail is pretty important.
There are some attachments that will not open in the mail application on an iPad Air. Some in the same format do (docx). They do open in Mail on my MacBook, and iPad1, or if I go to webmail on any device including a Blackberry, so it is not a file corruption problem.  The problem persists on different networks. Other emails from the same sender do work. It seems to be specifically related to IOS 7 or the Mail app. Quickview won't work, nor will opening with a range of Apps which report a file error.
There was an historical problem with Apple garbling pdf files, but this is a new one on me.
All this is a shame because it is opening emails in attachments that was one of my main reasons for buying an Air.
Does anyone know of the cause? A solution?
