Files on iWeb 08 and 09 don't match

I created a website on iWeb 09 on my G5, then tried to edit the site on my Macbook using iWeb 08.
My site does not show up in iWeb 08 even after publishing all. All it did was create a new site.
Any suggestions?

See my tutorial Toad's TutorialsManaging an iWeb site from multiple Macs with Dropbox. It's all automatic once you have Dropbox installed on both computers. The only caveat is you can be working on the site from both computers at the same time.

Import the intermediate cert first then the root and then the signed server certificate.
The alias of root and intermediate doesnt matter, but make sure that the alias of server cert is same as the alias of the private key entry.

Messages on the mac will only show iMessages sent from an iPhone, another mac, iPad etc etc...
It won't show SMS / Text messages.
If the messages are green on your iphone then they are text messages... Blue are iMessages

Why don't you just go to https://iforgot.apple.com and reset the password on the original ID?

I can't find the site domain file in iWeb 3 and OSX Lion

I've got iWeb 3.0.4 and am using OS10.7.3
In previous versions of the OS and iWeb the actual file that iWeb creates is stored inside ~User>Library>Application Support>domain.site
I can't for the life of me find either the Application Support folder inside my user folder OR the actual domain file. Is it invisible or something???
Help - I need to transfer this document to another computer urgently ;-)

How come some of my JPG files show up broken and some don't in my assets panel?

I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS6 and when I create JPG files, some show up in the Assets panel of Dreamweaver and some don't. I'm miffed as to why? I've tried resaving them as JPGs to no avail. When you try and insert the broken ones in Dreamweaver you just get the broken link box. I've also tried to link to the source file to no avail. So, please help!

Thanks for the video. I learned some new stuff about the assets panel that I've been using. However, the problem still remains. Some of the JPGs that I've created in Photoshop CS6 show up fine and some don't. The same happens with Illustrator. I did find a workaround for this though. If you open up the JPGs in Fireworks and create a slice over the image and then export the selected slice, it does show up in the assets panel unbroken. So far it works every time. I don't want keep going to Fireworks though. Adobe needs to fix this problem. In CS4, I never, ever had this problem.

Colors in Photoshop and InDesign don't match when printed

Output colors in InDesign and Photoshop (CS4) don't match. How can I calibrate? (I can choose a Pantone color for a Photoshop element that I've used in an inDesign document, import it into InDesign, and when I print, the colors don't match)
There must be a way to calibrate the colors among the CS4 software.....

That's what 'synchronised' means... as has been mentioned. Looks like you need to read a few colour management threads.
If you are picking color from the Pantone Libraries, you can easily get mismatches even with synchronized color settings. In ID if you leave Ink Manager>Use Lab Vales unchecked, the Pantone Solid libraries are defined with CMYK values, while in Photoshop the solid swatches are always defined as Lab values. So, if you pick a color like Pantone Solid Reflex Blue in ID, and then open a Lab, RGB, or CMYK file in PS and fill with Reflex Blue from the same library, you'll never get the default ID Reflex Blue build of 100|73|0|2 whether you are sync'd or not.
If you are actually outputting spot colors—the PS color is Duotone or a channel—then Use Lab should always be checked in ID and Color Settings would have no effect because ID doesn't have spot color management.
If you restrict yourself to the Pantone Process libraries, then you can work in CMYK mode in PS and get matches. In that case color settings might come into play if you embedded a CMYK profile in PS that conflicted with your ID doc's CMYK profile, but even in that case it's the assigned profiles that matter not the current color settings.

Payments and Bills don't match

the activation fee for my verizon double play bundle was supposed to be split in three parts. I have made the three respective payments as shown in the payment history.
However, under Bill & Payment, I can only find two bills and the third is still due including the third activation fee payment.

Adobe RGB and SRGB don't match!

I realized I have been editing in Adobe RGB and the color settings as "Optimize for printing". I need to switch it to Srgb (which defaults to "Optimize for computer screens". When I do this though, all my RAW files look washed out and dull compared to before and also when compared to what they look like in-camera. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and the same thing happens. I also talked to the tech people where I bought my computer and they said it's not anything wrong with the monitor or pc. Anyone know whats going on?

This is because the gamut of Adobe RGB is greater than SRGB.
Have you try to use the Image -> Convert Color Profile -> Convert To sRGB Profile

Much more PNG files in iWeb site and make it slowly

I found that iWeb will change some text into PNG files, it cause anyone can not copy the text from my page, and make the page size bigger and slowly.
And then, I don't know when iWeb will change text into PNG, when it will not. Sometimes when I write some words in the page, and publish, I can see the words are in text format, but when I continue adding words in it and publish again, I found that all the words has been changed into PNG.
So, when a page loading in Safari, I can see much more image files in my page, but not text+image same as a normal web page.
All that make the site loading very slowly. I don't like that if iWeb look like this.

Instead of creating a hyperlink and then choose a file, put the pdf(s) on the server yourself first.
Create a separate folder for them.
Then determine the URL(s) to the file(s).
In iWeb add a hyperlink *to an external page*. Use one of the URLs to the pdfs.
Now you can update the pdf without iWeb.

File sharing with PC and Diskaid: don't see files on iphone

Those programs don't install to your phone. They install to your computer so you can manage files on your iphone using your PC.
Run the program, connect phone to PC using sync / dock cable and the phone should appear in the programs window on your PC so you can then move files on to and off of your phone.
Be very careful that you don't delete or damage system files. You will end up having to restore your phone when it stops working if you do.

Can an InDesign file be interactive? (And I don't mean output from an InDesign file.)

Is it possible to have an element in an INDD file trigger another action inside the INDD file, without exporting the original file to an interactive PDF or anything else?
For example, I would like to create a "go to the next page" button in an InDesign file so that anyone else who opens the file within InDesign can click on the button and be taken to the next page of the InDesign file.
For various reasons that aren't relevant to this discussion, I do not want to distribute the file as a PDF or anything other than INDD.
Will a script do the job?
I'm using InDesign CS6 on a Mac.

Change in inspect element file has changed things and I don't know how to make it go back to normal

In Inspect Element I must have clicked on something because now I have little rectangular boxes with numbers and letters in them instead of icons. How do I fix this? When I close the window it does not go back to default setting.

If the little boxes look have two rows, each with two characters, that usually indicates that a downloadable font is blocked, and Firefox wasn't able to find the corresponding characters in a local font on your computer.
Changes made in the Inspector should be temporary, so try reloading the page. You can bypass the cache using Ctrl+Shift+r on Windows or Command+Shift+r on Mac.
If the problem continues, you might have blocked the source of that font. It would be helpful to back into the Inspector and look at one of those missing font characters and see if the needed font is listed there along with the site it is hosted on.

Blocking UPS, USPS and FexEd scams where Envelope-Recipient and From don't match

How can I block UPS, USPS and FexEd delivery notice scams where the From: address is *@ups.com, *@usps.com, or *@fedex.com but the Envelope-From: is some bogus address that is NOT @ups.com, @usps.com or @fedex.com?
Legit messages will have both a From and Envelope-Recipient from the @ups.com, @usps.com or @fedex.com domains.
Example:

I ended up with two solutions. One was to increase the size of messages I scan from 256k to 768k. A lot of the delivery scams had very large zip attachments and were getting in because they were over 256k.
The other thing I did was create a dictionary named "foil_delivery_notice_scams" and put the domain names ups.com, usps.com, fedex.com and delta.com in it. I check the header for messages "From" containing those domains and a zip attachment. I can't use envelope sender because they forge that - which is how they get around the SPF check.
A more effective way to do this would be to reject all messages with a From of those domains where the Envelope Sender is forged from a different domain. I don't know how to write that without having a very nasty, spaghetti rule.

Saved bookmarks: titles and addressroots don't match anymore; they are randomly scrambled sometimes not always

My saved bookmarks (BM) show more often (not always) the wrong addressroot when I scroll over the BM with my mouse.
When I open a sertain BM (with wrong address shown) it leads me to a webpage with that wrong address. Sometimes its an address that was an other BM. As if they are randomly scrambled, but some BM stay fine (with the right address). i.e.: BM title (i.e. to buy clothes) leads to another saved BMs addressroot that leads to webpage (i.e. about pets).
Sometimes the BM leads to a webpage unknown to me and seems to be "commercialised": i.e.: org.BM to page of interest leads to a page for a lawyerfirm in US although Im in Europe. Ive never visited or known about the lawyerfirms page before.
I have saved BTW a lot of BMs.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
