Files pulling from same folder show up differently when uploaded to my site

When I publish my html files on Adobe muse and I launch them from my file folder, they look great, but when I try to access them from my domain, the images are skewed and it looks awful but it is being pulled from the same location.
I have published this site many times before and never had this problem.
What is going wrong?

I upgraded to the latest Muse version and after I republished I did not have a problem, maybe my computer was no longer compatible with the old one?

When I import a cd that may have one song that is performed with another artist, it places it in my library on its own. How can I put it back with the other songs. Playing the album in iTunes, the track does not play with the rest of the songs.

DNG files exported from LR4 not showing changes made when opened in PSE10?

I have LR4, and once I make some develop changes I've been exporting the files I want to use as DNG. I then open them in PSE10 to make final edits. It's been working fine, actually I had an older version of Adobe Raw in my PSE on my other computer. So when I opened in PSE it would ask if I wanted to conver to compatible version to edit in camera raw. I always said no b/c I didn't need to do anymore raw edits. Now that I have installed PSE on my new computer, it has the new ACR version I guess. When I open the DNGs to edit now I no longer get this error message, but it's showing my contrast, etc. as a standard raw setting instead of the changes I made in LR. Some are showing....like vibrance, but "recovery" which I know is "highlights" in LR, and other things are not showing correctly. I know that the options are different, but I don't want to use the ACR settings that it's using when I open the file, or have to go through them again. I'm sure there's something I'm missing but can't figure it out. Thanks for any help!

The issue you raised in your original post, and the issue of choosing DNG versus NEF, are completely separate and independent.
The issue of transferring photos to PSE would cause the exact same problems in your case whether or not you use DNG or NEF.
On the issue of converting photos from NEF to DNG, there are advantages and disadvantages, some people do and some people don't. If you'd like to know more, I suggest you search this forum, there are plenty of discussions on this topic.

Is there a way I can set iTunes to add files automatically from a folder in my Windows PC and ensure that it is synced automatically? For example, if I add or modify a file in that folder it should be added to iTunes automatically. At the same time the original files in the folder should not be re-organized. That is can I just point to a music folder in my hard drive and sit back for iTunes to do the rest?

File Adapter - how to get the file count from a folder

Hi All,
I have a requirement that have to poll a directory when the file count is reached to number N (ex:number of files avilable in folder is 5) otherwise it should wait and not pick any of the files. Is it possible to get the file count from a folder using file adapter ?? otherwise please suggest me an approach to achieve this requirement.

Go with the list files operation of file adapter it will gives you the number of files in the specified folder as you given. . - this step is already done.
When the number of files reaches your count startup your webservice that which can polls the files. . . - how can i acheive this?? Have to poll the directory and process the number files - please let me know, what could be added to the webservice which is being invoked after cheking file count from parent process.
The reason for the above question is - we cannot use ReadFile operation in second webservice because it will be automatically triggered when the file is avilable. Also SyncRead operation supports reading one file in b/w bpel process. Kindly explain me the implementation steps.

You need to use the directory to create a File (use the path name, w/o a file name). Then you need to ask for a list() (array of String containing name). To do that you'll need to implement the FilenameFilter interface, writing an accept() method that returns true if the file's name ends with ".txt".
If that's not perfectly clear, try the java.io API docs and return more specific questions.

Can you add to the Lightroom an ability to process several raw files with the same content but with different exposure into the single picture?
Base raw files can be given with exposure bracketing during shooting, for example.
The goal - to get maximum details in darks and lights (if we use the "ligths recovery" or "fill lights" we lose the quality because raw file just have no all required information).

The plugin LR/Enfuse does this already. And of course Photomatix have a plugin available for Lightroom. This essentially amounts to pixel editing, which is beyond the range of Lightroom's metadata editing.

I receive MS Word files from students using Macs or Windows-based computers. This year, files prepared by students using Windows 7 are not alphabetized correctly on my Mac (under Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion). The same four students keep having their files put at the END of the alphabetical sort by name, even though the files should appear earlier in the list. I have to copy the file contents and paste the contents into a new document to get the new document to appear in the right order, and if I do so, then BOTH the old and new files appear in the Finder, even though the names appear to be identical! So can have to files with the same name in the same folder, which ought to be impossible. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

The problem is not the letters themselves, but non-letter characters in the file name; this showed up with the fixed-width fonts. The apparent duplicates and mis-sorting are caused by dashes, which differ because they're done as en-dashes in one file name and em-dashes in the other file name, or by curly or straight apostrophes. I didn't see that in the Finder window.
I never saw this behavior before this year. Last year, when I was using a Mac for the first time, I did not see any such problem, even though my students' files were named using the same conventions. When I was using a Windows-based laptop before that, I never saw the problem.
Windows must do something to style the non-letter characters differently than a Mac. Is there any place in Windows Explorer or the OS X Finder that styles characters this way? I can see this being a big problem for someone who needs to sort very important data by name, when the files are coming from different operating systems!
(I just Googled en-dash, em-dash, and curly quotes with file names, and found a good number of posts on various sites about similar problems based on ASCI character coding, html coding, Windows Explorer, and other applications. Sometimes the files don't appear at all, because the application reading the file name can't deal with a certain ASCI code. What a mess.)

Safari file attachments from same Finder Folder?

I am attaching multiople files from the same folder to different emails using gmail. I do not use any email programs on my iMac. Everything is virtiual. I don't want to have go through all my file toggles to get to the folder I am working from every time, which is what I am doing.I want the computer to remember and default to that folder. How can I set this up?

I have figured out that I can open the file folder in a different window and just drag in drop. This better. However, I would be interestred in being able to modify Finder settings for file management.

How to use File History from same account on 2 PCs to same NAS

I recently upgraded from Win7 to Win8.1 and am unsuccessful in using File History as I'd like. Perhaps it's a configuration issue, so I'll explain my goal, what I've done, and the problem:
I have a PC and laptop, both in the same HomeGroup and I use the Microsoft Account on both. Heretofore I've used a 'backup program' (SyncBack Pro), to synch the Documents folder between the PC and laptop, and then backup the PC's Documents folder to
a folder on a NAS (Network Attached Storage). That worked file.
Now, attempting to use File History, I setup up a NAS:\File History folder on the NAS and turned File History on both on the PC and laptop, pointing to the same NAS:\File History folder on the NAS. (Actually, I didn't enable it on the laptop until
File History on the PC had completed its initial run.) Within 1 or 2 days, the NAS was out of space but shouldn't have been. When I use Windows Explorer to list contents of subfolders in Documents in the File History folder on the NAS, it shows
the same files and sizes as it shows on the folders on the PC. But when I use Windows Explorer to get the Properties of those folders, it shows exactly 2 or 3 (differs by folder) times as many files, and 2 or 3 times the total space taken on the
PC. There are many folders in the $OF folder. I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that $OF would hold old files (e.g., deleted or superseded) but there probably aren't more than 4-5 files that changed over this time period. All this is making
me think that perhaps when File History runs on, say the laptop, it actually replaces all files of the same names saved by File History running on the PC and vice versa. Perhaps that's wrong, but it's the only way I can explain the explosion of the number
of files and space consumed by even multiples (2 or 3, at which point the NAS ran out of space).
So, given my goal -- making sure there is a shared backup of all Documents files on the NAS -- is there a way I can set up File History on both the PC and laptop so the same file is represented once in the NAS:\File History ?????
Finally, in case it's relevant, when I set up File History on the PC it asked me if I wanted to invite others in the HomeGroup to do so, but nothing resembling an 'invitation' ever appeared on the laptop.

Missing files using the same library on two different macs and other minor problems

Hi everybody,
I'm working on a long documentary and I'm new to FCPX (coming from Avid NC and Edius)...I have and external HD where I stored all the media I'm working with (about 1/2T - 1000 clips)...The library (about 100gb) is stored on the internal drive of my iMac and into the iCloud.
Yesterday, I received my new MacBook and today I tried to work on it. I followed this steps: I downloaded from iCloud the same library I was working with, I put it on the same folder (movies) it was stored on my iMac and I connected my external HD with all the media...Results? All the clips where gone and the red missing file warning was all over the place.
FIRST QUESTION: How can I work on both computer overcoming this missing files problem? I know I should have put the library on the same external drive but It was a move aiming to
SUB QUESTION 1:
I went back to my iMac and everything worked fine except for a warning about one of my events (the exclamation point) as you can see from this pic:
I tried to relink the file...but no files to be linked popped up in the relink file window....HOW CAN I KNOW what's wrong in that event in order to fix it?
SUB QUESTION 2:
I checked the Library info and - as you can see in the pic below - there are 43mb of media in my internal HD...is this maybe the problem preventing me from working on different macs? I tried to consolidate everything to the external HD but still the 43mb thing persist in being on the internal HD. How can I find where exactly it is located? How can I move it to the external HD given that the consolidate option isn't working?

I'm not clear what procedure you're using here. Using a cloud for storage might change some file tags. Generally users I think keep the library on the same drive as the media, keeping the library backups on the system. There is no real benefit in keeping the media in a separate location. Often users will keep the library in the same folder as the media. It makes backing up using tools like Carbon Copy Cloner very efficient.
1a) This can be difficult to find as there sometimes is no obvious indicator. It might be a missing element in a compound clip, a missing or altered layer in a graphics file, a missing font, a missing effect. These will show up inside the item involved, but may not be apparent in the browser. A missing transition for instance will not be seen until you skim over the project or try to export it.
2) The 43 MB is a small amount of optimized media. This never prevents relinking. The library is always looking for original media, or proxy media if you're in proxy playback. It never looks for optimized media. If it has it, it uses it, if it doesn't, it uses the original media. If you are using original/optimized playback, you must have the original files. The optimized files are not enough.

Files coming from photoshop not showing up in Lightroom

I suspect I have some setting goofed up, but I looked at preferences, and don't see which one............
In lightroom 5.3, I have some raw (.nef) images. I assign them a keyword. I open the set of images with that keyword (so, they all have the keyword). Go into Develop, fiddle, then do an "edit in", and go to PS CC. Make changes, then do a Save As, and save a .psd back to the same folder......
In the past, MY RECOLLECTION is that the .psd I just saved, would be stacked with the original .NEF, AND would show up in the group with the keyword. With the current settings, everything works fine EXCEPT the .psd doesn't show up in the keyword group. When I get back to Lightroom, still in Develop, there is 'NO PHOTO SELECTED". If I go back to Library it is not visible in the keyword group. If I EXIT from the keyword set, and display all the images, I can now see the .psd AND it has the keyword set, but it doesn't show up in the keyword group until I exit from the group, go back to displaying all the images, then go back INTO the keyword group.
And yes, I have "stack with original" set in the external editor preferences.
Is this normal behavior in 5.3, or do I have something set wrong? 'Cause it's really slowing things down having to constantly go back to library, exit the keyword group, and on and on...

Hi Rikk... Just did a test.........
Opened the keyword group of files. Grabbed a .nef. Went into PSCC. Made some changes. Did a "Save As", saved a .psd and the file did NOT appear in the set of files in LR. Opened the entire folder of files, and the .psd is there, so it got imported back into LR. Went back into the keyword set and the .psd does not display. The .psd HAS the keyword on it. Opened the folder, removed the keyword and added it again to the .psd. Went back into the keyword set and the .psd is there...........................................
THEN, I grabbed another .nef in the same keyword group, went to PSCC, made changes, and did a "Save As" as a .TIF. Went back to LR and the .tif is displayed in the group just as it always has before.
Back to PSCC and saved the same file as a .psd. Back to LR and the .psd and .tif BOTH appear in the group.
Grabbed a THIRD .nef and went through the same process, did a "Save As" for the .psd and THAT .psd NOW appears in the group just fine.
I have NO idea WHY it's working, but it didn't work prior to creating a tif, and it does work after creating a tif. As near as I can tell, that's the only change since yesterday when it didn't work, and even after closing and reopening LR this morning, it still didn't work. I'm reluctant to use the "since B followed A, A caused B", but it didn't work, it now works after doing a "Save As with a .tif". Bizarre...
Mollysnoot - I don't think so. for the last (way too many) years, I've ALWAYS used "Save As" because I append the word "edit" on any file that's gone through the full processing in PS. It's always worked fine. The file created does get imported, and has the characteristics of the original. If the original had a green label and 3 stars and was picked and had a bunch of keywords associated, the psd also had a green label, 3 stars, was picked, and had all the keywords. And it showed up automatically in the group of files displayed by on of those keywords...

Cannot re-save a file into the same folder

Hi.
I have a odd issue where users are unable to resave their documents into the folder that they have opened them from. The folders in question are their home folders to which each user has full permission to access. You cannot save over the original
file or even to the same folder and changing the filename makes no difference at all. You can however save to a different folder within the users home folder. I get an event 300 error/event when trying to save but no other errors other than a confirmation
box saying the file hasn't saved.
Has anyone else seen this before/

It seems like a permission issue, can you save new files to the location anyway?

Can I use file names from some folder to specisfly a value of a variable

so here is the thing I want to do:
I've got like 3 variables in my swf file which value tells to
the code how many picture there are to load.
So I have like
var totalPics:Number = 5
in my folder images I have 5 pics, but I want to put 3 more
so I want to make suck code that will check the total files in the
folder and return a value of 8 or check the name of the last file
found in the foulder like pic8.swf (I've made it into swf to load
in a loader) and to take that letter 8 from it as a value to put in
the variable totalPics so it is = 8.
Can u tell me is this possible to make in flash.... where I
should read helps or guides .. or just give me a simple example
please.

GWD the second option is good but can work in a simplier
code.. mine is a bit complexed and by that I mean.. that the total
number of pics or things to load should be known for the main swf
file at his start. That is because before the turn for the pics to
load comes, there is something else that must happen first, and it
depends on that total number (actually 3 total numbers cuz there
are 3 folders with different pics that must mix) So.. can't use the
second option cuz it works good when the code is a bit more simple
than that.
If u didn't understand whant I tried to explain.. doesn't
matter.. not so important atm.
Now the thing with the LoadVars.. yes, I've been thinking the
same thing but like this: At the 1st frame in the main timeline I
have 3 variables that are used further in the code and that must be
predefined by how many pics there actually are, so.. I've been
thining to make 3 different var1.txt, var2.txt and var3.txt files
for example and to put there as value just the number I need. So
when I add more pics for example to my images folder, I edit the
txt file containing their total number and just change it so the
code can automatically add the new pics to the sequence.
I've got some examples of this how LoadVars works with txt
files and I think I can manage to do that, but anyway would be nice
of you to give me some example ;] and of course correct me if my
toughts above are not true.
Now.. SumTsb.. what u mentioned, I am interested in, because
I have a PHP guy, who can make me a code that automatically counts
and gives back the totalPics number from a certain folder (I don't
know for sure that it is possible but if it is he can do it). My
point is.. When he makes this code.. that reterns value of
totalPics, how can I redirect it so it changes the value of
totalPics inside my main swf file. I see only this as option at the
moment:
1) when someone adds or deletes files from the folder the php
code returns a different value, equal to the number of files in the
folder, and automatically changes the content of the file var1.txt
like this:
First off var1.txt has: &content=10 // this is the total
number of pics/swf files in the folder;
when u add.. like 3 more files.. the php code changes the
value inside of var1.txt to: &content=13 and when the main swf
is started he takes the new value and my problem is solved. Is this
what I say as example true ? If it is I guess the only thing left
for me is the php programer to make his code and job is done.
But answer me this question too: is it possible the php code
to return the value of the totalPics directly into the main swf
file. So if I have inside the main swf a variable at the first
frame ot the main timeline called totalPics, can the php give it a
value equal to the total numbers of files in a folder, and how ?
