I've tried to download the 9i NT client software (92010NT_CLT.zip (625,558,536 bytes) twice now, and end up with a corrupted file after approx a 2.5hr download.
The indicated data rate is around 60Kbs.
I used different client workstations, one on my office cable modem connection, and one on a client's high speed connection. In both cases the data rate was low (approx 60kbs). However, a quick experiment from another client site, sustained a 260kbs data rate for several minutes from downloa east, although the download could not be completed at that location for non-technical reasons.
Any suggestions to make a successful download more likely would be appreciated.

Is the 92010NT_CLT.ZIP a valid ZIP file. I have downloaded it three times and each time WINZIP indicates it is an invalid ZIP file. I successfully downloaded and unzipped disk 1 - 3.

I'm trying to download the version 9 client for NT/2000/XP but it's saying the file is not found. Is there another way to download this?

Slow Client Download

I've tried to download the 9i NT client software (92010NT_CLT.zip (625,558,536 bytes) from:

I Cannot download the 9i client zip file for win 2000 (92010NT_CLT.zip). I successfully downloaded the 3 server files yesterday but since last night I cannot download anymore. The server keeps returning a bad or no response.

have you try to download it by using Downloader such as DAP or FlashGet.

Login onto SQLPlus worksheet

I am from the HP3000 world and am new to the oracle world. I want to enter and execute Oracle PL/SQL and SQL statements so as to become familiar with Oracle SQL. That is, build database tables, insert data, and retrieve the data directly and thru views, etc.
The download and install of Oracle9i Database Release 2 for Microsoft Windows 98/2000/nt/xp via the 92010nt_clt.zip file onto my pc seemed to complete successfully. I have Windows xp on my pc.
When I start SQLPlus Worksheet, a dialog box comes up with questions for which I do not know the answers.
The dialog box wants login option (1. login to the oracle management server, or 2. connect directly to a database), username, password, service, and connect&as (normal, sysdba, sysoper) responses.
During setup, as best as I can recall, there were no requests for, or displays of, this information.
Any suggestions on how to determine (or generate) the correct answers to the dialog box input requests ?
Any help provided would be greatly appreciated.

You can configure the client using the Net Easy Config tool which will create/modify the existing TNSNAMES file contents.

Error on importing cimsap.zip

Hi experts,
I have upgraded my portal to EP 7 SP 14. I am trying to configure DI. When I try to import cimsap.zip, I am getting following errors. CR_Content.zip is successfully imported. Has anybody faced this problem before? Please help.
One more thing is I am able to access CMS,CBS, DTR,SLD webguis. but devinf page is not opening. Any clues?

Hi Mehul,
try to go to the administration page of the SLD and choose for profile. In here select the option 'objectmanager'. Here set the following settings:
BufferInstances -> false
RejectUnsupportedCIMQualifiers -> false
StrictModifyClassChecks -> false
after this save the settings and stop and start the SLD from within the SLD itself. Then re-import the CIM model and the contect (so both CIMSAP and the CRdelta).
This should solve the error messages (I had the same issue before).

Filesize a problem when uploading a file to Oracle via JDBC?

A blob is able to hold files with gigabyte size, a simple 460k file should not cause this JDBC error. I had a test with a 127k file, too, same error (different file types tested: html, doc, pdf, ...). Is this a problem of the driver or is there anythig I am doing wrong?

retrieving a BLOB or CLOB, but not for inserting it

The zip is a standalone Java application that will create any needed tables, populate them with example data (both LOBs and CLOBs) from the data files in the zip and then put up a Swing gui that will allow you to add additional LOB and CLOB data to the table. Everything is there, the readme explains the 2 properties files you need to edit. The only other thing besides reading comprehension that you need to supply is DB connection information with the necessary privileges.
The Source link is a link to the main code, but does not include all the code in the package. However, it contains the code to write CLOBs and BLOBs into the database.
The Readme explains everything. It also has code excerpts, including the code used to read the sample data from file and write it into the LOBs and CLOBs.
