FileVault 2 password, does it have to be the same as user login password?
That is really my question, and if possible to have different PW how to do this?

It can be different; however, if so then you will need to log in twice. The first time you will bypass the EFI login window to unlock the drive, and the second to log into your OS X account. Apple makes this seamless by making the passwords be the same, but you can change the FileVault password at a later point, and if you change your login password by other means than the Accounts system preferences, then the FileVault password will not be updated accordingly. These will result in the double-login prompts.

Firefox will only remember a password if you click the Remember button on the sliding bar at the top that opens when Firefox detects a password.<br />
If you mean a check box on a web page to remember you then such a choice is stored in a cookie on your computer.

If I have to load the same apple id on all devices to use home share, does that preclude each device from using a second apple id and does that constitute a separate Itunes db or something?

Only one of your libraries needs to use your iTunes Store Apple ID for home sharing. Your other computers can use their own ID for iTunes, so long as they use the same ID as all of the devices on the network for home sharing. -

You can continue to use the current AppleID for iTunes, but your husband can create a new AppleID to use to create a new iCloud account that will be his own and not overlap with yours. If you do not have another email address to use for an AppleID, just get a free Gmail account and use that.
You can have as many AppleIDs as you want (or at least, as many as you have email addresses for). You can use a separate AppleID for the store, another for iCloud, and even another for iMessage if you wish.
You will want to keep the current one as the shared one for the store as all your previous purchases are permanently tied to it, and thus you need that AppleID to update or redownload your current purchased content. -
