Hi,
How can I fill in a required field in Internet Explorer? For example in a registration form?
I could set the mouse position a set a mouse click in it, but isn't there a better solution?

Well if you 'Want' to send user style events to an application then there are some tools here which I believe will do the job.

Select Downloads then G Toolbox for the stuff you are searching for.
For me they would be the choice of last resort, as small changes to the format or the position of elemets or window could cause problems.
However if you are attempting to use it on a system where you know nothing of the transactions occuring (the data being sent between, both parties) then I guess sending keypresses and mouse events might be the only option. On those occasions that I have done similar things, I have avoided mouse events where possible. Try using the TAB key to move through fields if possible and the SPACE BAR and ENTER key to press buttons as appropriate. It's annoing if your mouse ends up in strange locations on the screen and discracting. I have found applications without mouse elements tend to be more resilient to user interface modifications and window issues such as size, location, scaling or z order (if its a top most or bottom most window etc).

Not sure why but image fills are not displaying in IE 11. This is critical for me. Any idea why this would be happening? I thought Muse supports IE11 ?
It seems to be an issue with the global.css file. If I remove the characters following the ? I can see the images.. however the images don't take on 100% width.. they are showing as 1/2 the width.

How can i fix Thunderbird so when i click on a emailadress in internet Explorer . i want the email link to open thunderbird and fill in the adress i have clicked on.
This would be a function of IE and not Thunderbird. Have you set Thunderbird to be your default email client?

I thought maybe there was an Add-on issue, so I tried to check to see if an Add-on was available by
Open Internet Explorer
Click Tools
Select Manage Add-ons
Enable Lenovo Password Manager
But there is no Lenovo Password Manager Add-on available. Not sure if that is required, but I am guessing it is.
Any ideas on what I can do to make Password Manager work again? Version 4.0 worked fine most of the time. Version 4.7 hasn't worked at all.

Password Manager4.7 is now not using IE plug-in or IE extensions.
There is a process name like "pwm_ie_helper_desktop.exe" which is to help to fill password manager for IE.

I get an error message when trying to add new contacts and it is suggested I try back later, also when sending an e-mail the address I wish to send an e-mail to will no longer auto-fill. This has been a problem for sometime, maybe a month. The last problem I had was trying to download my March bank statement, in Adobe. If I switch to Internet Explorer I can accomplish these tasks. I am using Yahoo on both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Check the Ethernet connection to the AirPort Express. Make sure that the Ethernet connection from the Comcast modem is connected to the WAN port on the back of the AirPort Express. The WAN port is the one with the circle of dots shown over the port.
It sounds like you are connected to the Ethernet LAN port. -

However we are running the english interface and had no issues for a while (not sure for how long as the users infrequently use the system)
When navigating to the login screen there are no fields for the user to enter their credentials in internet explorer. Tried IE 8 - IE 11. Played with compatibility mode and safe sites etc... without success.
Firefox works without issues and so does chrome for the login.
Anyone run into this issue in the past couple of weeks?Yeah it is working now, it may have been a reboot Thanks!

Validation problem in Internet Explorer (Was: Internet Explorer problem)

Text Message sent from LabVIEW using ActiveX and Internet Explorer
I am fairly new to LabVIEW and I am trying to make a VI that will be able to text me and let me know when a test is about to be done or if something has caused it to shutdown. My VI uses www.onlinetextmessage.com but I can't get it to click the Send Message button.
I can get it to insert text in the text fields. I just can get it to click send.
Can you help me?

I dont understand, it really seems like the click should work, and it seems like the submit should have also worked. Getting text into the different fields was easy enough.
Did you try my modified version? That uses IHTMLFormElement properly. If you then change the element name from "Send Message" to "txtmsg" (the name of the form), it appears to work - or at least, it pops up an advertising window in Internet Explorer (I didn't fill in any of the fields as I don't want to give out my phone number or email address to some random website, especially one that pops up advertising).
When you try to change to FormElement, what steps are you taking? Are you changing the type of the "type" input to Variant to Data? You'll need to right-click on that constant, Select ActiveX Class... and choose IHTMLFormElement.
As a LabVIEW style note, you should close all the ActiveX references you open. That means all the references (IHTMLFormElement, IHTMLElementCollection, etc) need a Close Reference when you're done with them.
Again, I think sending an email is a better way to send a text message from within LabVIEW, and for that matter, you might be able to find a better website for doing it. TMobile allows their subscribers to send SMS messages through their website and it appears that AT&T provides a similar service; Verizon provides a web page to send SMS to their users.
EDIT: by the way, the submit button is not a named element (it has a "Value" property but not a "Name" property) so you can't get a reference to it by name. If you probe the item output of the IHTMLElementCollection property node, you'll see it returns an empty variant, which is why "click" has no effect. -
Cannot access my Optus account, but Internet explorer can
Hi, Using firefox I cannot access my Optus "My Account", to look at the details of my bills and amend/add to my profile. As soon as I am taken to the page where I should fill in my username & password I get a popup saying "Session already expired", before I have done anything. Don't have this trouble if I use Internet Explorer.
I can access all other Optus fields in Firefox. i.e. Home Page, My Usage, Mobile, Web Mail, Yes Tickets.
Any answers?

Why does my Web Handler work with Internet Explorer, but not with Firefox
I am trying to develop a web page that uses the Simile Timeline (http://code.google.com/p/simile-widgets/wiki/Timeline) with data from SQL Server.
In initial testing of my timeline I tested it with Example.xml, a static XML file in the correct format to be event data. I wrote the following in the appropriate place within mytimeline's Javascript: -

This worked fine with both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I then changed the assignment to

so that invoked a web handler that could look up the SQL database and return the XML that I wanted, and wrote this web handler.
This works perfectly with Internet Explorer, but with FireFox the timeline band is blank. Yet when I examine the http traffic with Fiddler2 (http://www.fiddler2.com/fiddler2/) I see that with either browser there is a response from URL
/GDB_pages/GDBTimeline.ashx?Type=Family&Userid=robertb
that returns the XML that it is supposed to.
I have previously used web handlers with Firefox before, with no problems. The Fiddler results conclusively show that the web handler is invoked, and returns the appropriate XML, and this XML is identical to the XML from the static test with Example.xml.
Where do I start looking for answers? I don't even know if this is a Simile problem, a Firefox problem, or an ASP.NET problem.

Not able to see legends on Internet Explorer 8
I have a Flex Application that works great in Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox. However with Internet Explorer it does not show the colors for the legends, just the values. Do you guys could give me any ideas what I need to change in my code so that IE 8 shows the legend colors? You can see on the image attached that the colors show correctly on the map but the legend does not show the colors for each values.! Thank you for any help!
