FILL THAT DOESN'T CUT OFF WITH SHAPE

I know the title is confusing, but can anyone tell me how to create a fill for a shape that doesn't cut off at the shape's edge without manually creating each edge? I live in Louisiana and the ubiquitous Fleaur De Lis is EVERYWHERE. Anyways this weekend I saw a jacket with a fleur de lis made of rhinestones. I wondered if I could create that, but I can't get my fill to work right, the fill keeps on cuttin off. Of course now I am using a halftone pattern but in the future I may create a tree made up of leaves and animals and I don't want them cut off. Am I making any sense?

I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!"

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

I am new to the iPhone 4s but do enjoy the radio from iTunes. I like to listen with a headset but it seems to cut off after playing a bit. I can change stations and it will again play for a while and yet again stop. I am puzzled as to why this is. It doesn't do this if I play off the computer. I think I am doing something wrong but have no idea what? I am a bit "tech" challenged so any advise would be appreciated.

It sounds like you are listening to iTunes Radio and it stops shortly after you start listening. I recommend starting by signing out of your iTunes account in Settings > iTunes & App Stores. Then close all the running apps on the device:

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the phone and test the issue by signing back in to your account, and testing again:

A T1 that DOESN'T pass DNIS with a Fax line on it

I have a customer that has purchased a CME with a T1 card that I am cutting over tomorrow night and their existing didtal T1 is somewhat of a hybrid "1FB" in the fact that it has 9 numbers that hunt off of a main number and, in this mix of numbers there is an additional number that allows "back-door" calls inbound outside of the hunt. They also have a fax line on this "trunk" that, when calls come in, a fax tone is applied by the CO. This is pretty rare and I am having difficulty in how to go about trimming out the fax line and extra line. Do I have to pin down the carrier to determine which "1FB" is assigned to which channel on the T1? Also, what is the best way to configure this. I was thinking the only way to separate is to create separate DS0 groups, such as:
ds0-group 0 timeslots 1-9 type
ds0-group 1 timeslots 10 type
ds0-group 2 timeslots 11 type
..and so on....
But, am I on the right track here and, if I set it up like this, can I still allow the fax line to be separate if no DNIS is being sent by the carrier. (OH YEAH...I forgot.....the existing MUX the customer is using is an old Adit 600!)

Conky is cut off with scrotwm

Problem is rather self explanatory, conky displays all of the code in tty1 but is cut off before finishing in scrotwm. I have played around with minimum_size and maximum_width a lot without success. However, that did fix the same problem on my netbook which is running openbox.

Actually since I am running conky via scrotwm's bar there is no since in using fonts since their not working. Nevertheless I replaced all of the $command with ${command} and the problem didn't resolve. Thanks for tip though.

You could bump that to a thousand or so, if you can spare a KB of ram :-)
Personally, I start running out of space at 150 characters, but maybe you have a giant screen.
Or if rebuilding ScrotWM is too much trouble, shorten the output.
Rebuilding Scrotwm isn't too much trouble but I haven't had the time to try it yet. I'll try it and report back, by the way my screen is a 1920x1080 Acer lol.

This is the most promising, I have tried to execute two instances of conky in a variety of ways since I have a similar setup on my netbook (Openbox). However scrotwm's bar seems to only display one conky at a time. I normally create a script for running two conkys:

But thats not working here, I am wondering how conky would run in its on window made to look like it was integrated with scrotwm. Nice desktop by the way.

Erratic sound cut-offs with rDAC (external DAC) on USB

I use an external digital to analog converter named "Arcam rDAC" for playing my iTunes and DVD playback sounds from my Mac Mini to a High-End Amplifier in my living room. The DAC is connected to the USB port and installs itself as a external soundcard. If I'm playing - lets say music with iTunes - it erratically cut-off the sound playback from zero to tree times a day. The only solution to get the sound back is to unplug the USB cable and plug it in again.
I'm not sure if this is really a problem with my Mac mini or rather a software problem with OS 10.6.5.
Does anybody have an idea?
(By the way: All volume outputs are set to 100%, EQ, sound correction and so on in iTunes are off and Audio-MIDI-Setup is at 44100,0Hz/24Bit.)

OK, there's only a couple more things for you to try on your own before involving Arcam and Apple. First thing you can try is different USB ports on the mini. I'm not sure about your mini, but it has been true of past versions that not all USB ports are created equal. Some ports have been "native" ports driven directly by the HCI whereas others have been based on a hub, meaning a hub IC internal to the mini and soldered onto the motherboard. So the rDAC may work better from some ports than others.
The other things I would ask is, what length USB cable is in use? Is it a conventional length, like 1.8m or so? Or is it a long cable run? If the cable is inordinately long, you can try shortening it to see if that helps. If it does, then you are left to try and move the mini and rDAC closer together, or else perhaps use shorter sections of cable and then hubs in between to link the mini and the rDAC.

Apple Display doesn't shut off with new Mini

I have a brand new 2009 Mini hooked up to my 23" Apple Cinema HD display.
When I shut down the Mini, the power on the display does not power down.
I used to have this same display hooked up with the same mini DVI to DVI connector hooked up to my late 2006 MacBook. The display used to shut down when I shut down the MacBook.
There is absolutely nothing different in my setup between the MacBook and the new Mini as far as connections and cables as I'm using the same cables.
Is anyones display powering off with their new Mini?
I wouldn't think that the mini DVI out would be any different on the MacBook as compared to the new Mini. But apparently there is unless I'm missing something.
I don't really want to live with this as all of my computers shut down automatically at night using the Energy Saver control panel. With the new Mini, the display remains on all night.
Maybe I should have bought a new MacBook Pro 13 to replace my older White MacBook 13.
Ideas? Suggestions?

I would hate to say that this might be an upgrade issue with recent updates.. I 'used' to be able to power off the monitor (touch the switch on the side and the light goes off) but no longer able to.
And to confuse the issue, the 23" ACD power switch is now acting like the Mac Pro's power switch.. While the Mac Pro is running a lengthy process, I'll often turn off the monitor if I am away for a few hours but now, when I touch the ACD power button, the Mac Pro responds with a "shut down, sleep or log off" kind of query.. Well that is certainly new to me..

TS1538 iPod Touch with blank screen that doesn't shut off and not recognized by iTunes?

I opened the app "MyTown 2", and it stayed on the opening screen for about 5 minutes - WAYYY too long! So I tried to close the app. A slight grayscale sort of film "slid" down over the opening screen, and then it went to this light gray, completely blank screen. It's been that way for over an hour - no matter what I do, can't do a hard shut down, and the device is not recognized by iTunes at all. It's completely DEAD!!!! Is there any hope? Anyone have a clue?

Following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod Touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the device in iTunes and choose "restore from backup".
If you still can't get it to work, you have done all you can and only Apple will be able to help.

Sound Cuts off with AWE64 on

I looked and didn't see that this problem has been addressed. I have an AWE64 card (part number CT4520). Whenever I play a sound, it starts ok, then just sto

So for something short (like windows sounds) it sounds ok. But if I stream audio, or play music, it lasts for about 0 seconds and then quits. I have tried deleting card from system and reloading drivers. Nothing seems to help.

This worked with Win98 and my 4520 also.
Very important to reserve some IRQ's for ISA devices. I must have forgot about that since they are so old, but the 4500/4520's are great.
I'm going to reinstall my 4500 now and hook the Sporster ISA modem back up.

Scanned bmp, cut off with Automate, Crop

I open PS and place a platen-load of photos on the scanner.
Using HP Scanjet 7650 and Omnipage Pro 12 I scan making one bmp.
I close the scanner program and have my bmp opened in PS.
A. File, Automate, Crop and straighten results in 4 psd files.
BUT
sometimes one or more of the 4 are miscut by PSCS. I then have to go into the original composite .bmp and recrop just the one that was miscut. How to avoid this or what am I doing wrong.
B.Let's say you've got 10 individual .bmps.
How to convert all at once to jpegs of a certain dimension?

Audio cuts off with purple arrow

I imported a conversation for a podcast into GB. The conversation is more than an hour and 3 minutes long, which is where the audio stops playing. At this point there is a little purple arrow at the top of GB. How do I get rid of this arrow? (I am assuming taht is what is stopping the rest of the audio from playing). Thanks in advance for the help.

Simply click and hold on the purple arrow (EndOfSong Marker) and drag. (You might have to move the playhead out of the way first).

Cfreport cutting off lines on multiple pages created with report builder

I have a report built with report builder and it appears that if you set the body to "stretch with overflow" that cfreport will "cut off" a line or two every time it paginates see attached for a simplified version of the report, I have removed all but the body on this (actual report has a watermark, report header, page header and page footer ...the problem is pretty apparnt with this scaled down version as you can see it's missing text from one page to the next ..any ideas/suggestions/known bug?? As per my understanding, I think this issue is caused by width size is not appropriate in the report. To narrow down this issue, please make sure that Body Width + Left margin + Right margin <= (Page width).
If the tablix is a matrix, because of the column group can expand to multiple columns, we should according to the following rule:
Body Width + Extra expanded column width + Left margin + Right margin <= (Page width).
Besides, please make sure there are no extra page breaks before each “R”. To check whether the issue is caused by the letter “R”, we can try to use another field to replace the Company Name field.

Why is the right hand side of the tables on a Word document that was imported being cut off using Webhelp but not when using Webhelp Pro?

I would prefer to use Webhelp and not Webhelp Pro because Webhelp allow for the insertion of a logo located to the right of the search field by selecting the "Show About" check box when generating content. The problem is that Webhelp is cutting off the words in the tables. Wordwrap is turned on in the Word document and the rest of the sentence will continue beneath the "cut off" word.

You would only use WebHelp Pro if you were using RH Server – that’s what the “pro” versions of output are for. I would suggest that something’s wrong with your table definition. You talk about a Word document – is this the source or the output you’re talking about?
