actually the site uses flash to present the form for filling. i tried building such a form using flash but its too complicated, im sure there is a much easier way.
say i create a editable form using Acrobat Pro, how would i go about embedding it into the webpage ? and allowing for it to be printed but not saved (the flash solution wrapps the form in a flash file therefor not allowing for a user to save it as a PDF file.
is there a way to do this ?

Has anyone been able to successfully implement online Adobe forms in a Guided procedures. If yes, can you share tricks involved..
The objective is to throw open an online Adobe form to the user to fill in.. The Adobe form will have pre-filled data (from previous Actions in the GP) and there will be the Approval process step after the form is filled...

Yes i have generated the form's submit URL... It works fine when the pdf is saved in the users desktop and upon clicking the submit button it kicks of a Process with a Visual Approval callable object..
However my requirement is that the Adobe form be submitted online during GP runtime.. The process is initiated by the User in the portal (not offline) who wants to put in a request. When the user initiates a process an Adobe form is opened to him in which he fills in his request. This request is then forwarded for Approval.. After Approval a digital signature need to be attached to the document and further on it needs to be sent out to other User Groups.. In case the request is rejected then the control goes back to the requestor who can either modify his request and send it again for approval or simply delete the request.. Throughout the whole process Print of the request can be taken at any time. Considering the requirements of Print & Digital signature i think using Adobe would be the way to go.. What do you think about implementing such a requirement in GP with Adobe UIs? Is it the right way of going about it?

Problem in sending online interactive form in email as PDF attachment

I am trying to send online intercative forms as PDF attachment once user fills it and click on send button. But this mail i am trying to send from SAP workflow. For this am using one function module which is accepting the pdfsource context attribute of binary type as Xstring. Once i run the webdynpro application i am getting mail in out look but when i open the attachment i am getting error file is damaged.
Can you pls help me in solving this, Or any other way for doing the same.

How do I complete online .pdf form and then print?

Sometimes, I can enter data on an online .pdf form and sometimes, I cannot. I need to complete forms and then print them rather than print a blank form to complete by handwriting. Window XP and Vista on my computers. I have installed some Adobe and Acrobat programs but do not know which ones would help me with my problem. thank you

Adobe is the company. I assume you are talking about Reader and Acrobat. It would be nice to know which ones, but the answer is likely the same. With Reader, you can only complete the form electronically in Reader if the creator added from fields for your to fill in. If not you have one option and that is to print. You could still play with filling it out electronically, but you would have to print the form, put it back in the printer, and use your word processor to place the information on the form. This is a bit time consuming and requires some measuring and possibly some trial and error, but it does work - I used to fill forms out like this all the time, but generally forms I filled out once a month and so it was worth the time.
With Acrobat, you can use the Typewriter tool, Use the Text Touchup Tool (not real convenient) with the ctrl key used when you place the cursor, or create your own fields. Depending on your version of Acrobat, you may not be able to create form fields (like AA7 Std and before I think, Pro includes the form tools). With forms, you may also have the choice of the form files under TOOLS>Advanced Editing (typically called AcroForms) or the FORM menu that typically takes you to Designer.
Those are your choices, though there are variations with version (next time try to tell us the program version you are using and if it is Reader or Acrobat - for Reader you may want to go to the Reader forum).

How to create online fillable form using acobrat 7.0 ?

I want to create an online fillable form but seems like a fill able PDF form is good to enter the information when end user wants to print the document with the filled information. They won't be able to save the filled information unless they have adobe acrobat and every user don't have acrobat. Majority of users will have adobe reader only which does not have the feature of saving the document with the filled information.
How can I receive the information from this fill able PDF form ?
I have seen on many website that, they people can fill out the form online and submit the information.
I know a way too add submit button using acrobat 7 designer but that is very complicated because the user will have to send xml data and i will have to import the xml data into the original pdf form which is very time consuming and not a good idea when i have to deal will 1000 forms every week.
when a personal is filling a fillable form (which i will upload on my website), that pdf form can't be send directly to me with data in it ?

For AA7, you can set the file to submit the data, not the entire form. You would have the FDF data file submitted to you. The e-mail feature is not very reliable, but that was not your question. When you receive the FDF file, you may be able to click it and have it open in the form (if you did not move the form and such -- it has some folder information in the FDF). Otherwise, you can open the form and use the form tools to import the data -- forgot where it is in AA7. The end result of the import will be the same display as the submitter had in the form. You can then save the form to a different name. There may be some data handling within Acrobat 7, I don't remember. If not, you might want to get the FDF Toolkit from Adobe and set up some data manipulation with the toolkit to put data in a database or such.

Strange error in online Adobe form for the date field

Hi Experts,
I am facing strange problem with online Adobe forms. I could able to save data when i click save button on the form.
But some times in the form the date field is throwing error message 'MMDDYYYY field is invalid' when i click on save button.
Is this the problem with versions of Adobe liveCycle designer, Adobe reader or GUI?

Check the format (in the object pallete) of the date field in Adobe liveCycle Designer, If it is not set already set it according to your requirement. then see if it works

I have ADOBE X reader installed in my systems. When I wanted to open an online pdf form, Mozilla puts up a error message and the form does not open.

When I try to open a online pdf form, I get a error message to close the reader and try it again. Sometimes, the message does not come but what I see is just a BLACK screen in Mozilla.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

How to fill in a PDF form after client fills in HTML form

i guess i need to try this a second time.
i have been to numerous sites where they ask a user to fill in lot of fields with a html web form, and then when all done all that filled in data gets transferred into PDF forms for the client to print out, ertc
tyopical sites i have seen this with are brokerage accounts for stock and commodities. all the major houses use this format, along with electronic signatures, etc ec etc
so, the client fills out an html form, presses enter, and voila a pdf form shows up with all *its* fields filled in with the information the client supplied in the html form.
this is what i am trying to figure out how to do. i have been searching the internet for 10 days now, about 4 hrs a day on this and i still have not found the code for this
my site is PHP, but java i guess would work as well.
any way, i am getting way behind on this project and if anybody knows where the code is to make this hapen at my site i'd be grateful to find out :)
