Film Club movies on normal TV

Ive noticed over the last couple of months that most of the films available in vision film club are shown on normal TV a few weeks later which is quite frustrating. I mean if BT is putting films onto film club that will be shown on normal TV a week or 2 later what is the point in me paying for the film club when I can watch these films completely FREE on tv
Do BT do this on purpose? surely they should check if any of there films will be broadcast on normal TV before putting them into fillm club. We should be getting "exclusive" films rather than films that we can watch a week in advance of normal TV viewers...it doesnt feel like im getting anything for my money anymore
They did a special on Free Willy last weekend for something like £4.99 for all 3 movies..Free Willy 3 was on ITV1 today and im sure the rest of them were on film club 2-3 weeks ago. Even clockwork orange is on TV tonight and thats just gone onto film club.

The lovely thing about film club is you can watch it when you want and advert free.

I currently receive all the on-demand TV, Kids, Replay, Music and Sport for "free" as part of my subscription.
Should I get Vision Film Club too? As it is I just get the trailer / Can't see films in Vision Film club?

You won't be able to cancel. You bought digital content for which there is no cooling-off period. It is quite clear from the website and your application that you were buying a streaming service & not a cinema seat.

Viewing movies at normal size in Photos

Despite my previous comment about drag-&-drop galleries, I'm liking Photos. One thing, however, bugs the everloving poo out of me. I've got galleries with photos and movies, which I think is great. Problem is, they're not HD movie files. They're old cell phone and old webcam videos. Why can't these videos be played back at normal size, instead of filling the window? Again, another lame omission in this nice application. :/

Importing an Avid 6 edited film in .MOV into Adobe Premier CS6 for re-editing but codec issues!

Hello,
My first time using Adobe Premier CS6.
I have edited a film on Avid 6 but it's far too big.
I want to import this film into Adobe Premier CS6 for re editing so I can export it as a H.264 and make it small enough to post online (currently it's 9gb)
I have tried importing it but I'm running into CODEC issues eeven though it's a .mov. What can I do?
Please help, it's all new to me.

Does movie download normally take a long time?

Trying to download a movie but it take a long time (been 8 hours), not sure if it the wifi speed. Any insight?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.

PRs with addition of only line items and Clubbing Service and Normal POs

We are in ECC 6.0
in our buisness process The PRs are created by the Project system
they could create only one PR with the Same No and when ever a new PR is created it is adding up to the existing PRs line items where the line item has increased to 800 nos now,
also they are clubbing PRs of service and material PRs we need it to be separate
as service PRs and Mtrl PRs are processed separately by different Dept and cannot use the same PR which is here only One at the same time.
the line items are getting added eventhough the PR is released,
Pls tell me how the Above problem could be Solved.

let me know is there any Links to the Document type of PRs to the Project system so as to create Separate PRs for Services.
is there any Complications by having different PR no for PRs every time. as the system was initially configured in this fashion and now as per the requirement we are bound to change the configuration, to separate SERVICE and Mtrl PRs.

Can't share/email camera imported films/movies

Hi,
I posted earlier about iphoto and the migliampeg4 plugin. I looked in the crash log and found it and deleted it and now I can import movies from my camera and pictures off my phone.
The only thing I find now is that when i try to share/email films are .mov I can't do it anymore and the option is greyed out. I used to be able to set the size of my film and it would be approx 10% of the original file size but it would reduce small enough for me to email.
Can anyone let me know what is going on. I find movies are now itunes and not quicktime. not sure if that has anything to do with it. Will still play around with settings but would appreciate some help or pointers.

The way I import is:
Command I - then double clicking on the file name.
See screen shot. This method has worked for every other video I've done. I believe it saves the file in the library. I also create optimized and proxy media.
When I Control click and choose Reveal in Finder, nothing happens. It stays only showing AVCHD.
Funnily enough - just now - and not because of any action of my own - the clip we have been discussing is now seen by FCPX. No more yellow icon in the clip or project names. However, when I try to share the video, I get the below error message.
This situation has repeated itself for the last few days - it's very frustrating :-/
Do you have any ideas? Thank you for your help.

Debug vs normal Test Movie sandbox

In Flash, if I Test Movie in normal mode (Ctr + Enter) I get no complaints about accessing URLs. The SWF's sandbox is "localTrusted". However when I debug Test Movie (Ctr + Shift + Enter), the sandbox is different. I then get complaints about accessing URLs; Security Sandbox Violation "...Untrusted local SWFs may not contact the Internet..." if localWithFile, and "...denied due to lack of policy file permissions..." if localWithNetwork.
Is this a "feature"? If so, I'd like to be able to turn it off. It would be nice if there was simply a warning, and not actual failure. To fix it, I could trust the file using global trust settings, but that seems silly just for debugging.

I can´t import Movies ( films ) that i´ve made on my ipod (then loaded into iphoto) onto imovie

What is an event ? why can´t I load my films directly from i photo to i movie ?

Don´t know what your talking about sorry ! OK I open the programme called imovie then got to ´ File ` moving the arrow head down I find Import from camera and then import with a little black triangle next to it, moving the cursor onto the black triangle I am then able to see the following options Movies, Camera archive,I movies for ios project, Imovie for hd project. BUT NO OPTION ´IMPORT FILM FROM IPHOTO` . I´m using My ipod to film stuff and the only way i know how the films are transfered from ipod to computer is via iphoto as they don´t appear in `Movies` in I tunes. I think there maybe also confusion with certain terms like film and movie and movies that you buy like hollywood films and films / movies you can make yourself. At the moment I drag the films onto my desktop from iphoto and then drag them into imovie . I havent been able to use imovie its to complicated the older versions that i had on my G3 imac was a much better product it was absolutely intuitive to use never needed to ask for help fast and fantastic results this newest version is to much hardwork to understand so i´ll probably give up any way .

Ripped movie logo/ looks like a piece of film

I am not able to view anything that uses quicktime. I click on the link that has media that requires quicktime and all I get is the blue Q and then a ripped piece of film or movie logo with the blue Q on it. I have checked firewall settings under control panel, and the quicktime setting under control panel. I can't find anything about this on the board, and I have no idea what to do to fix this. I have deleted and reinstalled quicktime. What do I need to do next?

Home Move & BT Vision Not Activated Properly - nea...

Apologies if there is an answer to this somewhere but I did a search and couldn't find anything relevant... also apologies that this is quite long but the whole saga has been going on for ages so there's a lot to write.
I hope someone is able to advise as to how I can finally get this sorted out though before I have a breakdown!
- On 15/11/11 I contacted BT via the website to inform them of my home move from A to B and that I wanted to stop service at A on 21/11/11 and to start at B on the same date or asap thereafter
- I received a standard email reply stating that service would start at B for phone, broadband & BT Vision 22/11/11
- I then received a call (not sure of exact date) to say that there unfortunately would be a delay to Broadband & Vision
- Phone service activated at B (new address) 23/11/11
- Broadband activated at B 26/11/11
- BT Vision activated 03/12/11
- However I then noticed that Replay & On Demand (which had been part of my package) were still not activated (i.e. they were still PAYG)... I gave it a few days
- I called BT in the afternoon of 08/12. I spoke to a few different people (Indian call centre I believe) who didn’t have a clue and was then put through to a helpful chap (I think in UK)... we went through everything and although he couldn’t see what the problem had been he did switch me to a new package: dual package (phone & broadband: and switching from Broadband Option 2 to Option1) + BT Vision Unlimited (i.e. not also including Film Club) + unlimited weekend & eve calls (previously had just been weekend).
- He also said that they would knock a few quid off for the first 2 months because of the hassle and that it would be a new 12 month term
- HOWEVER he couldn’t have it set up immediately as one of the first people I’d spoken to before being put through to him had logged it as a fault and apparently the new order can’t be put through and activated until the fault has been cleared
- He informed me the new activation date would be 15/12/11
- The phone activation happened 15/12/11 (i.e. switching from unlimited weekend calls to evening + weekend)
- As of 22/12 BT Vision had still not been activated properly as I still didn’t have On Demand, Reply & Film Club... I was told that the order was still shown as open. There was an issue and the guy I spoke to said he would try and get to the bottom of it, sort it out and would call me back the following evening
- A couple of hours later I received an email to say that my order was cancelled (?!)
- Now it is possible that the person I spoke to tried to call me on 23/12/11 but I was out
- 24/12/11 (I think, it may have been the evening of 23rd) I sent an email via bt.com asking what was going on
- I then received a call 29/12/11 to say that the old order needed to be cancelled (I thought that it had been already, according to the email received on 22nd) & that then a new order would have to be put through. This would take at least 24hrs and that I should then be notified in 48hrs to let me know when the new activation date would be. Apparently there has been an “over-capacity” issue....
- On 30/12/11 the order status online showed that an order had been put through on 22/12/11 but the activation dates were still showing as 15/12/11.
- 02/01/12 I still had not been notified as to when the new activation date would be (48 hours would have been 31/12/11 PM)
03/01/12 - someone from BT called and asked if my phone & broadband were OK. I said yes but that I’d not been having a problem with them anyway, it was BT Vision. He said that was a separate department and that I would have to speak to someone there. OK, fine I replied but I’d never had a prob with the phone & broadband anyway (i.e. so why the call in the first place as I’d not made an issue of that)... he just repeated that I would need to spk to someone at BT Vision. Fair enough.
- 08/01/12: I checked on bt.com and now my account was showing as having no outstanding orders at all.
- Again I checked BT Vision and On Demand, Replay and Film Club had still not been activated. Plus my online account still seemed to be showing that I had Broadband Option 2 (not 1) as well.
- I sent another email via bt.com 08/01/12. Pretty much detailing the whole timeline as I have here - and obviously asking that someone *please* let me know what was going on.
- I received a call today (09/01/12) from someone at BT asking if it was all now OK as apparently it should be. I said that certainly it hadn’t been the last time I checked (last night).
- He said that he could log it as a a fault but I said I was loathe to do that without double checking as that would delay it further (see what happened when it was previously logged as a fault when apparently it shouldn’t have been) and this had been going on since November as it was.
- I said he would check tonight and turn everything off & on again etc and see if that would make a difference.
- He then said that he would just check what the system said was active... unfortunately he then cut me off and didn’t call back
- This evening (09/01/12) I checked BT Vision when I got home but still no On Demand, Reply & Film Club (well they are there, but wanting to charge me).
- I’ve restarted the hub and also the Vision Box but it hasn’t made a difference
Does anyone have any ideas what I should do next? Clearly emails and calls aren't doing me any good at all and I'm getting incredibly frustrated...

I am really sorry that you have had so much difficulty getting your Vision working properly. Occasionally we can have problems with how the order is built and it sounds like certain essential elements have been left out of activation, it should just be a case of getting this reported and applied but sometimes it can take a while to get everything figured out and set up correctly.

How do I watch movie extras on my iPad ?

I Just bought the winter solder hd version and it is working on my iPad 3 but I don't seem to be able to access the extras that I thought came with this movie.
i Normally buy the blue-ray for films like this As I enjoy the extras showing how things are done but since I can not preorder this title at amazon I bought the iTunes version.
are the the extras not available in iOS? What about on my Apple TV when I get home?
and why are the extras not seen on the iPad? If in fact that is the problem?

At the moment they are not available on iOS devices, iOS 8 in the Autumn will change that. If it's an Apple TV version 2 or 3 then they should be available on that.

ok i have no problem with paying a premium for new releases but why are films like-braveheart and the land before time only available if i pay a fee-i already subscribe to film club but this is a bridge too far

A competitor TV provider currently has exclusive SVOD (Subscription Video On Demand) rights with most of the top Film Companies and have done for many years. They previously decided not to use those rights but "sowed them up" so alternative Providers such as BT can't (Currently) provide a better package until they get the chance to sign more deals like they did with WarnerBros and Universal.
Ofcom was looking into this (Similar to the Sports Problems we had before SS1 and SS2 went live on BTV) but I beleive they have forwarded the issue onto a European Commision to investigate further.
So for now, Not BT's Fault. The premium movies have to cost a certain minimum amount (to show them at the same time as the DVD release) and the older movies have to remain on a PPV basis. Unfortunately rubbish but they either get to charge or they don't get to show.
Think someone has mentioned above but if not.
There's a Certain FilmLoving Website where you can subscribe for a similar amount as the film club, get 4+ DVD/Blu rays a month (I'm not aware of the exact amount)and get the most recent releases included. My best friend has a subscription and he loves it, If I didn;t have BTV and watched more films, I'd go for that instead.
BTV Film as a service will have to improve sooner or later if BT want it to flourish though
