Film from Computer to i Pad

I have converted a .mov clip (produced on Final Cut Express) to both Mpeg4 and H.264 file formats, loaded into i Tunes, and my i Pad 2 will still not accept it.
It will accept low resolution and it will accept 4:3 aspect ratio, but not acceptable quality 16:9.
Can anyone assist?
The brand new i Pad 2 is about to go in the river!
Stevefromnorthfreo

oo instead of throwing it into the river, would you want to give it to me?? JK
you need to select the media in itunes. once highlighted go to Advanced in the Top menu bar area, and choose create ipad or apple tv version.

  • HT1535 How do I do a one-way sync from computer to I-pad? Outlook Contacts only.  It has already been synced and there is bad info on I-pad that I don't want on my computer.

How do I do a one way sync from contacts in computer (Outlook), to contacts on I pad (also for I-phone)?  Contacts on I-Pad are incorrect and I do not want to add them back to my computer?
Alternatively, is there any way to delete contact groups all at once instead of one contact at a time?
    Thank you in advance...

    2. Then use that new Profile when you connect to Sync on the old laptop.

  • How do i get my film from the mac to i pad

i am trying to transfer my film from the i mac to my i pad can not seem to do it

Did you add the movie to your iTunes library via File>Add to Library in iTunes on your computer? You have to add it to iTunes and import it through a sync with iTunes and the movie must be in the correct format as well. Under Advanced in iTunes - Create iPad or Apple TV version. From iTunes help ....
    To convert a video:
In iTunes, select the video you want to convert.
Choose Advanced > “Create iPod or iPhone Version” or Advanced > “Create iPad or Apple TV Version.”

  • HT203167 Hi, I've purchased a few films from itunes (and they are listed as Purchased in my account), but I can't find them on my computer or on my itunes account, and itunes wants me to pay for them again. How do I get around this?

Hi, I've purchased a few films from itunes (and they are listed as Purchased in my account), but I can't find them on my computer or my itunes account, and itunes wants me to pay for them again. How do I get around this? I've tried all the suggestions, and it's hugely frustrating.

If you are in the UK, and the film studio allows re-downloading, and you are signed in with the same account that you bought them with, then they might show under the Purchased link under Quinklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page for re-downloading - if they don't show then check to see if they are hidden (hiding and unhiding).
But you should be keeping and maintaining your own backup of your downloads and noy rely on being able to re-download any item as they are occasionally removed from the store by the content provider (film studio, tv company, record company etc).

I've been working at the same problem for hours now and it's really driving me crazy so any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

  • I use my computer with my wife, when i downloaded itunes it was on my part of the computer, but one day had my ipod connected to my wifes part of the computer and from then on have always signed into her part, but now cant retrieve my films from my part

i cant retrieve films from i tunes that i downloaded on my part of the computer i share with my wife, as i somehow selected to sync on her part, now i keep getting a message that says, the ipod paddys ipod cannot be synced .you dont have enough access privalages for this operation.

I'd wager a six-pack of cold adult beverage that you are still "logged in" to her iTunes account....
Make sure you are logged in to YOUR computer account, then lauch iTunes.  Go to the Apps Store.  Verify that you can log in to YOUR iTunes account.
From that point you should be able to get your stuff.  If not you may have to reset to factory and then restore from a backup....

On the iPhone, go to Settings > General > Usage > Music (in the Storage Section) > Tap Edit > Tap the Red Circle next to All Music > Tap Delete.

  • HT1535 Can I delete a film from my iPad without connecting to a computer?

Can I delete a film from my iPad without connecting to a computer? Does anyone know?

You can also go to Settings > General > Usage > Videos > Tap edit and Tap delete.
If you wish to redownload, go to iTunes App and then tap Purchased. In the header tap Film/TV Series and then click the little cloud with the arrow through it. It will then download onto the iPad again.

  • Do you know how to download films from iPad?

Please tell me how to download films from ipad?

You can buy and download films via the iTunes app on the iPad, they will then download into the Movies app - you will need to download the films over wifi as there is a 20 meg limit per file over 3G. Or you can buy and download them on your computer and then sync them to the iPad via your computer's iTunes - select the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and on the right-hand side on the Movies tab select which films to sync to it

  • Moving rental film from iMac to MacBook

Like many, apparently, I was perplexed that a rental film I downloaded on my iMac iTunes didn't appear automatically on my MacBook Air.
After much investigation, I found I could transfer the film, by cable, from iMac to iPhone:
plug in iPhone > open iTunes on iMac > select iPhone in sidebar > select movies menu > rental film should appear at top > move button
and then rinse and repeat from iPhone to MacBook Air.
My question: is there an easier way of doing this?
All macs and devices are recent models, authorised, on one Apple account and on wifi. I have no Apple TV.

    Who else is perplexed?
No time to list all the similar threads on this forum and others, since all I want to know is how best to move rentals from one computer to another. Maybe try searching this forum for similar queries?
You can only have iTunes rentals on one device at a time.
You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
I understand that, but thanks for reiterating it, it may clarify the policy for others. All I want to know is what is the best way of moving rentals from one computer to another.
The FAQ you linked to gives the rules for moving rentals, but does not tell you how to do it. There is another Apple helpsheet somewhere, which I have read and used, which shows you how to do it by plugging in the cable and using "move" in iTunes. But I came to this forum wondering if there might be a faster, simpler way of doing it. Maybe wirelessly or direct from computer to computer. Since the helpsheet only addresses how to move from computer to phone and vice versa, not from computer to computer. The term used is in their rules is "devices", which in this context does seem to include desk computers and laptops.
I know I can do it via an iPhone by plugging the iPhone first into one computer and then the second. This seems likely a very 20th century way of doing things. It may be the only way, and indeed is starting to look like that from the lack of responses. But if there is another better way I'd like to know. Simple as that.
Not an attack on Apple, from whom I have purchased thousands of dollars of products per year since the 1980s, and with whom as a company I am generally very happy. Not an attack on the forum. Not even an attack on the unwieldy transfer mechanism which may well be a product of stringent licence agreements with content providers. And certainly not an attack on Apple's rules for rental transfers. Just a simple request for information about a very specific technical issue, how to move rentals from one computer to another, which will undoubtedly be of interest to many others searching the forum.
I know that I can purchase a rental directly from iTunes on to any device. That seems obvious and is not helpful once you have a rental on one computer and want to move it to another computer.

  • I'm trying to download a film from iTunes but an icon keeps coming up to say manage settings. What do I need to do so I can download the film

I'm trying to download a film from iTunes but an icon keeps coming up to say manage settings. What do I need to do so I can download the film?

In order for this to work you will need to connect to the computer that she syncs with normally, change her settings to manually manage her music, add back the music she wants then manually add the music from your computer.

  • How van i streaming my homemade films from my iphone3 to my iPad2.? ICloud only strams my photo's

How van i streaming my homemade films from my iphone3 to my iPad2.? ICloud only strams my photo's

The easiest way isn't streaming,(I don't think you're using the right term, streaming is the live playing of video, what you likely want to do is transfer the video from one device to another.)  it's to sync your iPhone to your computer, transferring the videos to your computer, then sync your iPad and transfer the videos to them.
Many of the videos that you shoot will simply be too big to stream. A short video shot with the iPhone or iPad can be dozens or hundreds of megabytes. That large of a file just doesn't stream well.

  • I have experienced great difficulty deleting photos from iPad I have followed advice and synced with computer and iTunes and deleted from computer and then synced again but managed to get hundreds more unwanted photos.

I have had great difficulty deleting photos from iPad I have followed advice and connected to computer and iTunes but cannot find anywhere to click on delete I also deleted photos fro computer and synced again and then found hundreds of more photos on iPad which were unwanted at the same time I lost a film I had purchased from iTunes and   The soundtrack of film from iPod

Photos that were synced from your computer you should be able to delete by movin/removing them from where they were synced from and then re-syncing (or de-selecting the whole folder if you want to remove the entire album from the iPad).
Photos taken with the iPad, copied onto it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad - either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view. They should also appear in Windows Explorer on PC where you can delete them, and in iPhoto on a Mac you can delete them after importing.
