Filr Chrome Support

Has anyone noticed issues with Filr and Chrome. I am unable to login to the filr appliance with a LDAP user when in chrome but on the same machine I can login to Filr with firefox with the same user. In chrome when I login it logs in but only shows a page that says Test Teacher. I do not know where it is getting that Test Teacher account info from. Screen Shot 2014-06-13 at 10.02.05 AM.jpg
If i reindex the Users and Groups it works for a few hours but then stops working again.
I am on
Novell Filr Administration
Release: Novell Filr 1.0.1
Build: 3226 / September 07, 2013
Novell Filr Appliance 1.0.1.65
One server for each appliance.

Solved
Turns out it was not a chrome issue but a URL issues. The URL that the my users used and I would use was causing the issue. If I just manually went to the server by doing https://xxx:8443 in chrome all worked.

  • How to install Google's chrome browser safely on MacBook Pro-retina?

Hello, I've arrived to a crossway which I need (don't want to) install Google's chrome browser or Firefox on my MacBook Pro.
Yes, I don't want to, I hate it running on a Mac.
I know it's the best browsing experience in a 'Chromebook', but in "Rome be a roman",
After using this amount of money to buy the finest MacBook Pro out there, from some reasons,
I don't want to install it. I want Safari to be able to run every site, even the main site of my university.
That's what I expect from Apple.inc. that everything will work!
I mean, how Chrome and Firefox and even Microsoft's IE, supporting and running those uni. sites, and Safari - DOES NOT ?
(In case that you want to know about which sites I'm brabbling about,
here is one for example: http://new.huji.ac.il/en there are section that just don't work via safari.)
    In addition,
I'd like to know, since I didn't find a good solution, what are the right ways to install Chrome on a MacBook Pro-R,
and to control all the files (EVERYTHING) that are related to it,  so I'd know where to find them after I use it. (additional same information for using firefox the same way will be more than welcome).
    Thank you,
    Jacob.

  • Google chrome : client certificate install fails

when i try ti install client certificate on google chrome, the error says : The server returned invalid client certificate.
This is happening in Google chrome under the certsrv site to install the issued certificate. Does chrome support client certificates?

    Question:
    What does Error
207 (net::ERR_CERT_INVALID) mean when I try to collect my certificate (CodeSigning or Email)?
    Answer:
This means that you have tried to obtain your certificate using the Google Chrome browser. At this present time Google Chrome does
not support chained certificate enrollment and you can not use another browser to collect this certificate because the private key was generated with Chrome and you must start the process from the beginning again using another browser such as Mozilla Firefox
    or Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  • Firefox mac osx version does not support mac-Lion os full screen window mode. When will you bring this?

In macbook pro with lion os apple gives a full-screen-mode icon in the top right corner of the window, which will be used to open that view in different window. But firefox does not support this. Even chrome supports it.
When will you bring this feature to firefox?. Currently I am in firefox 8.0.1

No answers, but Mozilla is aware of the new release of Lion, and hopefully are working on solving some of the known issues. There are some rather formal technical discussions and reports, as mentioned in this contributors thread: [/forums/contributors/707160]

  • Shockwave freezes with Chrome/Win7 - Flash OK

I have the latest versions of Chrome & Flash/Shockwave.  Flash works perfectly; Shockwave freezes - on a blank window with the logo and an empty progress bar.  On the Adobe test screen, the Shockwave test produces just a blank black box.
Flash & Shockwave both work perfectly when using both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Any suggestions where to look/what to do?
    Thanks.

  • Chrome Browser - with NWBC, ScreenPersonas or BI

Due to recent high-risk viruses and malware problems with IE - we are considering switching our default browser from IE to Chrome across the organization.
Can anyone comment on risks/issues of ScreenPersonas, NWBC or BI with Chrome browser?

    Hi Shane,
A few things come to my mind initially.
NWBC - for desktop can only use IE, you can't change that. The NWBC HTML version of course you can use Chrome - just check the PAM for your system for Chrome support levels
Screen Personas uses MS Silverlight (unless you just use the HTML version)... I'm not sure how well it works with the Silverlight plugin for Chrome - it might be fine... not sure.
Finally just also note that many of SAPs accessibility (screen reader support etc..) features aren't supported in Chrome also Adobe Interactive Forms don't work.
    Hth,
    Simon

  • Support for flash player plugin in webview

Will the webview at some point support the flash player plugin? We have a legacy reporting engine that was developed in Flex that we were hoping we could access in a webview.
    Thanks.
    Stefan

No - webview will not support a flash player plugin.
install flash plugin for WebView "Thread: install flash plugin for WebView"
Richard's comment from the thread (Richard is the JavaFX lead):
As for plugins, we are not likely to ever support running plugins (except maybe applets), for security reasons. There are also additional issues. If the browser is to support arbitrary things that Chrome supports like native client etc, it adds to the footprint of the browser (and security risks). Already the WebView constitutes over half of the download size of JavaFX. I would need a pretty strong justification to make it larger if doing so also increases our risk to vulnerabilities.

  • No printing with app HP Print for Chrome from Chrome web store

As more users I can't choose my HP 1606DN as a local destination when printing from my chromebook. The printer has a fixed ipv4-address 192.168.10.51, latest firmware 20150114, bonjour enabled and ipv6 enabled. My Chromebook is an Acer 720P in developer mode with Versie 43.0.2357.125 (64-bit) Platform 6946.58.0 (Official Build) stable-channel peppy Firmware Google_Peppy.4389.89.0 I can use the printer as a cloudprinter. I get the webserver with the ipv4-address. I can add the name and ip-address in the app but the printer doesn't appear in the local destination list. What goes wrong?

Hi,HP Print for Chrome is a new extension, therefore its documentation not yet fully available and there is no list of supported printers yet. However by reviewing its current documentation I notice the following information:Which printers support HP Print for Chrome?
HP Print for Chrome supports a wide range of new and old HP printers that support PCL3GUI or PCLm printer language.
For detailed information about which HP printers are supported, go to Printers that Support HP Print for Chrome.http://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c04683559 As the HP Laserjet Pro P1606dn uses the PCL5 language it is not supported by the app, only PCL3 or PCLm printers are supported. You may only use Google Cloud Print for your printer. Regards,Shlomi

  • I use Google chrome and for no reason all my add-ons will not load.

Yesterday AM when I logged onto my laptop and opened Google home page, none of my add-ons (gadgets) would load. This has gone on for 2 days now.
I have rebooted, checked to make sure the site was listed as safe for add-ons and checked settings. Nothing has worked so far. Also when I clicked on "change google themes" there was no response.
    Any ideas?

If your problem is with Google Chrome you would be better off asking in the Google Chrome support forums - http://www.google.com/support/chrome/

  • Spartan support Flash Player but not silverlight!.

why spartan(0.11.10061.0), support Flash player but not silverlight?

    Chrome supports flash natively.
I guess they don't want consumers to move to Chrome because some web sites work on Chrome and not Spartan.
Spartan is supposed to be a cut down super lightweight super fast browser.
Running Silverlight/ActiveX in the browser is considered low priority by Microsoft.
I think the idea is you use IE11 if you want Silverlight.

Or want to use Netflix, SkyGo etc etc.

  • Does Firefox support Windows XP SP3?

Now that we are in April of 2015, Will Firefox provide updates and patches for Windows XP SP3 users? Google Chrome supported XP till April 2015, I cannot afford to buy a new computer and am looking for a new browser for my Windows XP SP3 laptop.

About the only Windows requirements changes I have seen for near future is that when Win64 for Release (as early as Fx 38.0) finally comes out it will need 64-bit Windows 7 and 8.x at minimum. The 64-bit XP, Vista and Servers are not supported.
