Filter by attribute

Hi All,
I have one object called Project description for this object there is one attribute Project Planable this attribute is giving values planned and non planned values. In query I want to show this attribute values .How can I achieve this.
Looking forward to your valuable suggestions.
Thanks

Hi ,
If this attribute is a display attribute for your project infoobject , then you can display directly in the query designer . But it will always come along with the project Infoobject .
If it is a navigational attribute then you need to select it your cube first , under navigational attributes . Then you can use this attribute in the query designer as a separate thing. Even you can create characteristic variables on this .
Hope the above reply was helpful.

  • Error Message in Query Filter on attribute of 0MATERIAL filters charac.

    Hi All,
i have a query with few variables , i used navigational attributes of 0material......
I am getting the below Warning Message...  Ineed to supress the below Error Message....
Please let me know the solution...
Error Message: Filter on attribute of 0MATERIAL filters charac. values without master data
    Diagnosis
Currently, it cannot be guaranteed that SIDs and master data exists for all characteristic attributes for the DataStore object to be read.
There is a restriction on a navigation attribute of the listed characteristic in the query. This filters all characteristic values of the master-data bearing characteristic for which there is not yet master data out of the result.
For performance reasons, this filtering is unavoidable.
    System Response
    Procedure
In case of doubt, find other restirctions directly on the characteristic values of the characteristics contained in the DataStore object.

    Dear all SAP Gurus,
we've solved this problem and this is the solution:
The warning is triggered by the method CL_RSDRV_ODS_QUERY-PROCESS_SFC_WITH_ATR when the BExFlag of the InfoProvider is not set. Using DSOs for direct update there is no change to change the BExFlag. As a result queries based on a DSO for direct update always throw the above mentioned warning when filter-characteristics are attributes.

  • Filter RADIUS Attributes transmitted by WLC?

    Afternoon all,
I've got an 8510 on the latest 7.6.120.0 software and I have a standard WPA2/802.1x Wireless LAN.  When Users authenticate we send their traffic off to a RADIUS Server, but when we do, the WLC includes all sorts of superfluous RADIUS attributes in the request (various things like default VLAN ID and all sorts of Cisco Airespace bits)
The RADIUS Server we're using can't filter these attributes out, so I'd like to find a way of having the WLC not send them in the first place...  Any suggestions?
    Cheers,
    Richard

    Hi Richard,
As far as I know you cannot do anything on WLC to stop this.
Did you speak to TAC and ask about this ? Not sure any hidden commands to do this though.

  • How to filter by attributes with type Strings

The documentation is not really detailed about setting attributes with type Strings. I assume I've to type each string value in a new line in the set attributes dialog box. This works fine and my XML looks like this<br /><br /><para CMS = "prodA prodB"><br /><br />having set the two string values "prodA" and "prodB".<br /><br />But how to filter these attributes? The filter CMS="prodA" shows my paragraph correctly, but CMS="prodB" does not show this paragraph as it should. Filters seem to match only the first of the set of string values.<br /><br />I would like to show this paragraph in two document versions for these two products prodA and prodB.<br /><br />Framemaker 8.0.3<br /><br />Tilman

    Tilman,
this is something that AFAIK is not supported by FrameMaker's own attribute based filtering.
But, without changing your documents, if you install the *free* ABCM (Attribute-based condition management) plug-in from weststreet consulting, you will succeed. Be sure to read the tutorial!

  • Filter on attribute of 0MATERIAL filters charac. values without master data

    Hi SAP-Gurus,
I've a problem while executing a query (this query is based on a MultiProvider).
I got the message "Filter on attribute of 0MATERIAL filters charac. values without master data" and I don't know why.
When I don't use the filter on the navigation attribute, the query can be executed without any errors, bute when I set the filter, the warning message comes again.
    Thank you all,

  • WLC - Filter-Id attribute

    Hello,
Does the WLC support Identity Based Networking, just like the Catalyst switches do on the wired network ?
Currently, we have a Microsoft AAA server that is able to pass a Filter-Id attribute to our Catalyst switches, specifying an ACL number to apply to the user's switchport. The Catalyst switches receive this Filter-Id attribute in the RADIUS response packet and apply the specified ACL to the switchport.
We are trying to achieve the same feature on our wireless network: A wireless client authenticatates to the AAA server and the AAA server replies with a RADIUS Accept message to the WLC. Is the WLC capable of understanding and applying Filter-Id attributes (referencing to already configured ACL's on the WLC) ?
    TIA,
    Joris

Yes, the controller supports identity-based networking and you can apply ACLs via the VSA's but you may need to load the Airespace VSA's to the IAS server for this to work.

  • How to filter the attributes of my features in feature build node?

    Hi,
I'm working on a text clustering project. After building the text nested attributes (through Build Text node) I used the Feature Build node to create a reduced set of text features. In Oracle Data Mining Concept 11g Release 2 document, page 20-7, it clearly shows that I can choose each feature and filter any term I want or filter them by their coefficient to that feature. Though I can't find that Feature Filter button anywhere on my SQL Developer version 3.2.09. Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mehrdad

    Hi Mehrdad,
Right click the Feature Build node and select the View Models menu item and the model you wish to view.
This will provide a viewer that will show you the generated features.
There is a combo box that shows the feature id and the grid below displays the details for that feature.
If you want to then score data, then you would use the Apply node.
If you are new to Data Miner I think you will benefit by reviewing the OBE courses available off of the Oracle Data Miner page on otn.
    Thanks, Mark

  • Filter in Attribute List

    Hi all,
I have a requirement regarding Filters in Attribute Lists.
We want to provide an Attribute List in english. But Data Sources and marketing attributes are only displayed in German. Even if the Filter is a Standard SAP-Field like City or Country. The Attributes are translated. I would have the option to translate it manually by the description but it is to much and has to be done for every new Attribute List.
Does anybody know how to get the translation?
    Thanks
    Cornelia

    Hi
Even after making the attributes as nav attribute in Master data they ought to be marked as navigation attribute on the infoprovider on which you are creating the report.
If the report is based on the cube that uses company code then you need to check it as navigational att in the cube and incase you have a multiprovider at the top of the cube then you again need to check this attribute as navigational in the multiprovider too.
Thus by making comp_code_zregion as nav att in the master data you will not see it in the report you need to make it as nav in the report as well as multiprovider incase the report is based on multiprovider
    Thanks

  • Query Filter on attribute

    Hi,
I am designing the BEx Query that requires the data to be filtered based on the attribute value of an infoobject - both are available in the BEx Query.
However when I apply the Filter on the same infoobject in the BEx Query, it does not return me any data as result.
Can you please let me know if there is a better way to filter Query Results based on attribute of a characteristic.
    Regards,
    Amogh

Goto RSD1 > Infoobject Maintainence > Key in your Infoobject name & check the /BIC/M* table. Find all entries applicable for restriction. Make sure all the existing entries are same as that is visible at Info provider level. In BEx, if you are sure you are not going to make changes to query frequently, use Filters at Query level. Include all relevant entries you find applicable for your Characteristic Info object. As suggested in previous posts you need a Navigational Attribute for your Info object; if you want to capture Attribute data. Else, if you wish to create a filter at run time, use an input enabled Variable, which can capture Multiple Entries.

  • Filter the attribute members based on th fact data

    Hi,
Thanks for reading the post, i have a Q which is related to dimension attributes with MDX only.
I have a dimension which is a role playing of date, i want to limit the members of the attribute when i pulled it to the filter section, for now it shows me everything that are in the underlying table which it is suppose to, but i have 2 keys out of 100
that have corresponding data in fact table. when i slice it with that attribute it filters out the rest but i want to get that in the attribute when it is pulled into filter section.
Is there a way to handle it through MDX, i want to limit the values of a attribute members based on the data in fact table.
Is their a approach to create a attribute to a existing dimension on the fly using MDX????
This is what we can do but cannot:
I can do it by limiting in table in DSV, but as it is a role playing of date there wont be dedicated table for it, and i can't limit in regular date dimension which is out of scope.
I cannot create security role where this role playing dimension doesn't show up there in the list of dimensions so not working that way.
Ideas and solutions are much appreciated..
    Guru

    Hi,
please find the attachment below and all i am looking for is the members in the attribute should be filtered when i pull that attribute as a filter.
    for example:
if i pull the attribute to the filter section it will show something like this:
    Dimension   Attribute   operator  Filter Expression
Date           Date          Equal        when i expand  1/1/1900  (no corresponding data in fact)
1/1/2005 (no corresponding data in fact)
1/2/2005 (no corresponding data in fact)
1/3/2005 (no corresponding data in fact)
12/31/2013 (Has corresponding data in fact)
1/1/2014 (Has corresponding data in fact)
Now, my filter should show only 12/31/2013 and 1/1/2014 in the member list when i pull that as above.
    Thanks Much,

  • Filter by Attribute option vs Ditaval

What is the difference between these two ways of filtering content? Is it possible to create a Ditaval with FM9?

Technically they are basically the same thing, although ditaval filtering is defined by the DITA specification and is limited to certain attributes, and uses a specially formatted ditaval file (XML format) to perform the filtering. FM9 can apply a ditaval file to output created from Frame to perform the filtering. Without creating a special structure application, you cannot create a ditaval file using FM9, you'd have to create one using an external editor. FM9 can only apply this filtering by ditaval on output, you can't view a filtered document while authoring.
The general attribute filtering feature in FM9 can filter using any attribute and can be done while authoring. If you plan to do extensive filtering in FM, you should check out the AXCM plugin from West Street Consulting ..
         http://www.weststreetconsulting.com/WSC_AXCM.htm
Also, the DITA-FMx plugin does allow you to create ditaval files inside of Frame, and allows you to apply that filtering to a document open for editing as well as to the output.

  • Virtual Character in Bex Query / Filter by Attribute

    Hi ,
We have a query where we need to resrict the query result by a character at run time. I think this is done by using virtuual characters with user exit RSR00002...Here is our requirement. We have the PCA query with Cost element heirarchy (Revenues & Expenses as nodes and several other sub nodes available) as the report out put and when we drill down by cost center user wants to see the result of blank cost centers only for Revnues but not for Expenses.
If this scenerio is not possible by virtual characters, I have a display attribute in Cost element where Revenues always have type 11 and Expenses have 1. So I need to exclude the cost center blanks for cost element type 1....But I'm not sure how to achieve this. Can any one advice if this is better to do in Info cube level / Bex query level...
    Thanks

  • MDX filter multiple attributes with OR

The question is simple. I need a full list of Product (EnglishProductName, EnglishDescription, Class, Color,...) whose EnglishProductName like '%bike' OR EnglishDescription like '%bike%'. The "bike" has to be a parameter. How can I use
MDX to query AdventureWork? I tried using Having, it worked but slow.
SELECT NON EMPTY { } ON COLUMNS
    , [DimProduct].[EnglishDescription].[EnglishDescription].ALLMEMBERS*[DimProduct].[EnglishProductName].[EnglishProductName].ALLMEMBERS
    HAVING Instr([DimProduct].[EnglishDescription].currentmember.Properties( 'Member_Caption' ), "bike" )  > 0 OR
     Instr([DimProduct].[EnglishProductName].currentmember.Properties( 'Member_Caption' ), "bike" )  > 0
    on rows
    FROM [Model]
    Any help will be appreciated.

This was beautiful. The key point was how to use the SET in Filter. I rewrote my real query, it's like this:
    SELECT{ }
    ONCOLUMNS,
    [Recipient].[DataSource].[DataSource].
    ALLMEMBERS
    * [Recipient].[RecipientName].[RecipientName].
    ALLMEMBERS
    * [Recipient].[RecipientCreationDate].[RecipientCreationDate].
    ALLMEMBERS
    ONROWS
    FROM(
    SELECT(
    filter(
    ([Recipient].[RecipientName].[RecipientName].
    ALLMEMBERS* [Recipient].[RecipientAlternateName].[RecipientAlternateName].ALLMEMBERS)
    ,Instr( [Recipient].[RecipientAlternateName].
    CURRENTMEMBER.Properties(
    'Member_Caption'),
    "Roger")  >
    0 or
    Instr([Recipient].[RecipientAlternateName].
    CURRENTMEMBER.Properties(
    'Member_Caption'),
    "roger")  >
    0
    ONcolumns
    FROM
    [EAS Report Model]
It really worked. It took 1 minute and 18 seconds. The entity volume is 3 million. Is there any way can speedup little bit?
Thanks a bunch, Sorna, you are awesome.

  • How to filter on attribute?

    Hi,
Can anyone please tell me how to set up characteristic restriction on a characteristic's attribute, not the characteristic itself in BEx Query Designer?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Try Create a Nav attribute then its available for restriction.

  • Filter in Attribute view

I basically want to have a view that displays two columns from my table, but not have any of the columns repeat the same ID or Name
For example if table data looked like this
    Name ID
    John 204
    John 204
    John204
    Mel 205
    Mel 205
    Mary 205
I want the View to display
    Name ID
    John 204
    Mel 205
    Mary 206
I feel as though there is a real easy solution to this but I'm not sure how to do it.
    Thanks,
    Connor

    Hi,
It will depends on ur data modelling.. and the logic
    mainly 3 views
Attribute view  - consists of dimension or master tables
analytical view - along with attribute view or some master tables it will have  fact table or transaction table table (basically a numeric or measure column presenting in a table)
Calculation view - based on ur logic u can choose graphical/ complex -scripting methods...
    (Graphical, scripting)
but in each step u should check the data integrity # no records retrieved are correct or not.., because in ur table if u r having composite relationships then data may go for looping especially when u r using analytical view..
so for simple architecture or aggregation columns u can go for analytical view
i enclosed  file in which it explains the modeling structure on what purpose we need to use the 3 types of view..
    hope this will help you.
    Thanks,
    Thara
