Filter for Safari

Question

I teach web design at the high school level and I’m have a little trouble keeping a small group of students focused on their work when myspace, e-mail and youtube are just a click away.
I’m looking for a mac application that will allow my students to use Safari but only surf approved sites. We use OSX 10.4 for the workstations and connect to a 10.4 server. I use workgroup manager to manage their accounts.
I don't want to filter all of my student's internet only a mall group.

Hello Todd,
The best you can do, is for your school to use a Proxy/ & Firewall not allowing them to use MySpace & other sites...
Then there are sites like this How to get through firewalls.."Quote"
"If your schools system admin is an amateur (or your school firewall *****), you may be able to access MySpace or other sites that they block via firewall through:

3.Try other some Proxy services"

Perhaps disallowing the cookies and cache using a third party Safai enhancer on some of the computer would work the best in your case.

Where the said files are:
HD/Users/Your username Home~/Library/Cookies/Cookies.plist
HD/Users/Your username Home~/Library/Caches?/Safri cache folder
I am afraid there there is no magic bullet.
The best would to be able to block just certains site, perhaps with Leopard
