Filter option in MD03 screen as in MD04

Dear all,
I have a requirement wherein the filter option which is present in the MD04 screen is found to be useful whereas the same option is not available in MD03 screen.
Can anyone tell the way of enabling the filter option either through Customising or otherwise.
Your expert comments will be of much use.

Magesh,
MD03 is a MRP run transaction wheras MD04 is a reporting transaction. In an excution transaction you cannot have filters set.

one of the user of the report is missing a filter option in the input screen, but when i try to execute the same query with other users it comes up with the missing filter parameter.what could be the problem??

Hi Shetty,
Do you mean that the user is missing a variable for entry. This could be due to the fact that he has personalized that variable. Run the report and then goto Change > Variable values (from the change button, do not use the Refresh button). Here you can delete the personalization and he can then get the variable for input.

Folder or File path when f4 option on selection screen is clicked

can any one please let me know if there is a function module which can fetch folder name form the directory path when f4 option of selection screen field is selected. Currently I am able to get the file name using FM F4_DXFILENAME_4_DYNP but the requirment is like I have to select either folder name or the file name depending on user selection.

According to your description, my understanding is that your list filter cannot work after Migrating from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013.
For your issue, please check your log files for any issues. Also you can refer to the blogs for troubleshooting SharePoint 2013 migration:
Firstly try running Test-SPContentDatabase on your source database for any issues -

Problem with ALV Filter Option

In 4.6C version when i click on a column for Filter option, i am able to key only 20 Chars( Visible length is 16 ). Whereas in 4.7 version, i am able to key in 40 Chars in the Input field of the filter option. Is this a problem with 4.6C version. Please Help...

Can you check report BCALV_TEST_FULLSCREEN_FILTER in 46C. When you put a filter on C60 ( 60 Char field ) the screen display of select-option is small but when you select the multiple options, you can key in upto 60 chars and the filter works well. Check if thsi rpogram helps you.

Dashboard Filter Option

I have a query about "filters" option in Xcelsius. When you click on the "Manage Connections" on top then click on ADD then click on "SAP NETWEAVER BE CONNETION". this option come in connections after selecting the query name. See the attached screen shot. I have BW query which gives me keyfigures/measures which are both positive and negative. i want to ONLY bring in positive numbers. so what i did i brought the entire data set in xcelsius and then wrote an excel formula, it works only if i have a few rows of data but when i have 76 columns and 100 rows, my dashboard crashes. can some body tell me a better performing way of doing it? i think this filter option may help me but i don't know how to use it.

What is your environment,if you have BO server with BI backend then you choose Query Browser as a connectivity.It ll have more flexibility with filters as a prompts.
Is there any specific reason to go with SAP netweaver BW connection.

Filter option lists

Hi all!
Is there any way to filter the values of a option list based on a dynamic criteria??
For example, I want to show only some values of a metadata based on a view. These values depends of a user metadata (maybe username, role, address...whatever) which is not shown in the form, so I could not use dependent field option.
Also, I cannot use the filter options in the view configuration because I have to modify and alter the filter string.
I have tried to create a component to alter the resultset, but in some way, the values are loaded after the form is build. Am I right?
Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

How to disable dangerous options in on screen keyboard in kiosk mode?

Hello,
I'm trying to make a kiosk like application based on Windows 7. I run locked down IE in kiosk mode and that's quite OK.
However when I run the OSK.exe (on screen keyboard) - it has two dangerous buttons: Options (where I can click on "Control whether the On-Screen Keyboard starts when I log on" link and then run Windows explorer, and Help (where I can go to Options, and then
click on "Read the privacy statement online" link that brings me fresh IE).
Is there way to disable in OSK those two buttons?
For instance, when I run OSK on logon screen it hides the Help button and the dangerous link in the Options button, so it's possible at least for MS. Is it possible for plain customers?

Based on my test and research, I’m afraid that the two options of On-screen Keyboard may not be disabled.
Instead, you can use
Tablet PC Input Panel and see how it works.

CASE SENSITIVE
2. U can give *
to search for pattern.
(IN THAT CASE, it is NOT Case Sensitive)

I wanna hide a screen field (select option) on selection-screen. I looped the screen in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT and found the name of screen to hide. But the <option_name>_low and <option_name>_high are always show here.

Problem in ALV Filter option

Hi Experts,
In the ALV output we are having fields like year,period and plant.If i click on Year or period or plant and then click on filter option in ALV it is giving a select option and then click on the F4 Help in the selection option,it is giving the list of option once i select any one of the value it is displaying(for eg:Year) as '2004####'.Then if we click ok it is showing error instead of '2004####' it should be '2004' after selection.
Is there any way to rectify this?????Please reply ASAP.

I am also trying to implement the filter functionality in a Table Conntriol.
I have used following two function modules to handle the filter option.
1. CEP_DOUBLE_ALV: You will get the pop up to select you filtering fields.
2. LVC_FILTER_DIALOG: Second pop up to select the filtering data for the fields selected.
But the second FM is giving an error 'filter internal error : 15'
If u have already implemented this functionality, can u give me the sample code.

Problem in ALV set filter option

Hi to all
I have an issue regarding ALV report :
I have developed an ALV report and it is showing report output correctly as required.
when I further filter it on a particular field using SET FILTER OPTION , the length of the field is shorter than displayed.
Why this happens so.
BUT for the same field in a standard ALV report , it shows the same length as displayed in report.
Please advice. As this is the standard ALV functionality.
