Filter plug-in doesn't show up in photoshop CC

Hello,
I've been trying to install several filter plug-ins for Photoshop cc (Mac OS) and the installation through extension manager seems to have worked, but the filters just won't show up in the program. I restarted it a couple of times but the extensions just won't show up. I figured the plug-ins didn't go into the photoshop plug-in file after installing them, but it's not like I could've chosen how and where the extension manager puts them. This is confusing. What can I do?

Hello, I'm in trouble with fonts.
I'm using mac OS X 10.9.4 mavericks.
I want to use 'HanziPen SC' which is already installed in my Font book but it doesn't show up in photoshop CC.
It has been default font since mavericks, maybe.
And I have same situation in AI as well.
I've already tried to clear cache and reboot photoshop but it didn't work to me.
Does anyone help me?

It was solved!
But in my case, the reason why it didn't show up was veeeery stupid...
I checked out Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC/CT Font Cache/Adobe_Fnt_OSFont.lst
Then, there was 'HanziPen SC' and I found out surprising fact!
Its Writing script was 'Chinese'!!
So I couldn't find 'HanziPen' even though I typed 'HanziPen'.
It has been shown up in Chinese...
What I did is to over write WritingScript,FamilyNameNative,StyleNameNative,FullNameNative to Japanese.
I don't know why it happened to me at all. but anyway, finally I was able to see the one in photoshop CC.
Again, Thank you for your kindness. If you didn't suggested about cache files, I might have not found out the answer.

Plug-ins doesn't show in Photoshop CC

Hi,
I've installed my new plug-ins from Envato-marketplaces into Photoshop CC as instructed. The filters doesn't show when I open Photoshop CC. I have Windows 8.1 64bit installed on my computer and therefore also Photoshop CC 64-bit.
Can someone help me with this problem?

Plug in doesn't show up in ex mgr

Just downloaded extension manager. Then used EM to go to web
to download plug in. The plug in does not show up in EM. Even
though it is on my hard drive. F1/Help in extension manager doesn't
work either.
What am I missing?

Scanner driver doesn't show up in Photoshop

Sorry if this isn't the right forum for this...
I have a Samsung SCX-4521F multifunction printer/scanner that I can't get to scan. The software that comes with the printer doesn't work with Macs so the manual says to install the included Twain driver and scan via Photoshop. I've installed the driver, twice now, and the printer still doesn't show up under 'Import' in PS. There isn't a listing for Twain under Import, either.
The printer is connected to an Airport Extreme base station and the AP extreme is connected to the computer via an ethernet cable. I can print with no problems so I know the computer can see the device. Is there some sort of setting that's keeping PS from seeing the scanner?
I need to scan in a ton of photos so I need to get this resolved asap. Please help!
I'm using PS CS3 extended, BTW.

It seems that the driver that came with the printer isn't compatible with intel iMac PS. If I open PS via Rosetta the driver comes up under import. Open PS up regularly and it's missing.
That problem is solved but now I have a new one. The driver shows up in PS but when you select it you get "scanner not found". On a hunch I unplugged the printer from my Airport and connected it directly to the iMac. When I do that it finds the scanner and I can scan without a problem. I don't know if it's an Airport issue, permissions issue or if the PowerPC driver doesn't communicate well with the Airport.
If I make more headway I'll update this thread for the benefit of future searches.

Raytrace 3D plug-in doesn't show up in After Effects CS6

In After Effects CS6 I can't access the geometry options settings when making a shape layer 3D. I haven't been able to turn raytrace 3d on because it does not show up as a rendering plug-in. How do I fix this? Can I still access the geometry options? Do I need to install the plug-in it? If so, from where?

No, I'm saying you can't get the accelerated performance fromGPU rendering. You need to check your preferences and make sure your system is up to date. You should see the options for rendering at the top right corner of the composition window if you have a 3D layer. It looks like this:

Grey color doesn't show up in photoshop

When I am using Photoshop, it doesn't display the color grey correctly. Usually when I use the color picker tool, it shows different shades of the color grey on the left hand side. But now, even if I input the color code explicitly as #757575, it displays a color which is more brown than darkgrey. I don't have any idea what would could cause this problem. Same problem occured also in illustrator. I am using RGB color mode.
I really hope someone knows the answer.

Your problem has to do with color correction on the monitor. If you add a bit of red to the gray you will get brown. Using a color calibrator it will generate a file that will correct the diffference. It also will tell you how to adjust the monitors settings as well. In that you manually adjust the menu setting of the monitor. Then the corrected file fixes any differences from that. It also will take into consideration your ambient lighting in your room, which will affect the colors you see on the screen especially gray.
So for about a $100 or so you can get the correct colors on your monitor.
Tip: when your done use the same software on a laptop and adjust your TV. It won't use the corrected file, but it will be useful in manually adjusting the RGB controls of the TV.

Then you need to review and validate this font. No idea how you created it, or if the software you used to create it is good or used correctly.
If your font doesn't appear in all applications, yet it is installed and activated the same way as the other fonts recognized by Photoshop, would tend to indicate font corruption or duplicate activated fonts.
But, if you have a gazillion fonts activated in Photoshop, know that Photoshop has a limit on how many fonts can be active simultaneously (at least on the Mac side). But if you have that many fonts activated, you need a good font manager. That many activated fonts creates excessively long font menus and slows down system performance.

If you have carefully follow ALL of the steps in that article, you are using a USB port directly on your computer and not a USB hub (don't use a front port on a tower or desktop either, as they are an internal hub) and you installed iTunes correctly using an Administrator ID and you have tried disabling your antivirus and firewall then there is no hope of it ever working. Look at the tip again, and go through it carefully, not skipping any steps.
Note, BTW, that an iPhone will not show up on a computer, only in iTunes. If there are photos in the Camera Roll then it will appear in Windows as a digital camera only.

Hi, is there a way to "force-mount" an external drive that doesn't show up on the desktop? I have a new Hitachi SATA III 2 TB Ultrastar that won't show up like all the other drives when plugged in. So I can't partition, repair, format etc with Disk Utility, Disk Drill, Tech Tools etc. How do I make it visible?
I use the FW 400 to 800 adapter and a FW hub.

When I plug my iPhone into my computer it doesn't show up at all. Not on the computer or iTunes nor does it charge when plugged into the computer. It charges just fine when it's plugged into the wall .

I would not worry too much about the charging aspect of the computer connection for now. I did notice that the last time I connected my iPhone to my computer the iTunes had changed and the only way I could determine that my iPhone was connected was by noticing a box at the upper right on the computer screen vs. the older graphical interface which showed the connected iPhone in a column on the left of screen. My iPhone did not turn on and did not charge. However the iPhone was connected and I could in-fact select Sync from one of the iTunes pull-down menus. Again, for quite some time I though my iPhone was not triggering the computer at all when I connected it. I use an iMac.
