Filter table results according to rule

Hi,
I am trying to filter the output table so it will present the data according to a filter.
I am trying to use the filter element but don't succeed.
the field is "IS_REQUISITION" and the value is 'X' or blank.

Filter the results set for custom iviews in SAP MDM

We have a scenario where based on the user name/user role we want to filter the results retrieved by an search result iview developed for accessing data from SAP MDM Repository.
E.g.
We have a lookup table called Plants which contains master data pertaining to manufacturing plants.
The portal user P00100xxyy is responsible for maintaining master data for a plant 1101. However, the plant lookup contains data for other plants as well.
We would like to prevent the user P00100xxyy to see/modify data for other plants in the table.
We have explored the core MDM functionality of security/constraints. It does not provide row level granularity and we are hoping that the iview approach can help us achieve row level filters.

The actual problem is that :
we have approx near about 100 Account Group, so it would become very complex to replicate same condition 100 times
AND
these account group may keep on increasing so even maintenance point of view it would be hard to maintain.
can u tell me some other way to do it, i mean is there any other feature by which we can perform validation in MDM.

This is a query that will get you the operators in a mapping. To get source and targets you will need some additional information but this should get you started:

Trying to filter the result of get-qadgroup

hello ,
I'm trying to filter the results of a simple get-qadgroup command, to only list groups that have a specific OU as part of the DN, but I dont understand why my filter is not working . Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated.

got it .. i changed it to -like and added the * before and after the OU=Service

How to filter tables in table browser in designer

Hello Experts,
I had a direct connection to SAP ECC database and I want to create an universe (with designer) on top of a database table. Problem is that ECC have a lot of tables and is very time consuming the selection of tables in table browser, question is:
is there a way to filter tables or to directly select a table provided I know the table name I want to work with?
note: I want to use aggregate data from logistic information tables because there is no BW system in this landscape

You should use the external strategy function of the designer (see chapter OPTIMIZING UNIVERSES -> USING EXTERNAL STRATEGIES TO CUSTOMIZE UNIVERSE CREATION)

you don't need to create a new external strategy. Designer comes with a set of "standard" external strategies.
For filtering tables use "table strategy".
In order to make it to work for your environment, check the file *.STG and see which db user is used in the delivered strategy, then, add this user to your RDBMS and set the permissions and tables you wish to select to in designer
For example in my BO installation the user is named 'USER', so I added it to my DB2 RDBMS of sapecc and added the required tables

Filter Table question

Question regarding 'local menu | Filter Table' option.
I have a long sheet (1000+ entries) that has customer names in a column. There is over 200 distinct customers in this column. However, when I choose the above option, it only shows 25 names.
Is this a known limit? If so, is it possible to change the names that show on the list, so the most frequent / common names are shown?
Just looking for a quick on-the-fly quick filtering which I do dozens of times per day.
P.S Trying to switch from Excel for Mac which does have this capability.

I am just wondering if there is a hard limit of 25 entries that are shown, no matter how many different names there are.
It appears that the maximum number is 25 entries in the dropdown filter list. However, you can filter on any value you want via Edit Table Filters in the dropdown or by clicking the Filter icon upper right.

How to filter listResourceObjects result?

I am using the following code to get LDAP groups back:

One thing I noticed is that your code calls
the getResourceObjects method, whereas
the original poster (and myself) are trying to
call the listResourceObjects method.
If I call getResourceObjects, I get back just the
objects I need.
However if I call listResourceObjects I get back
a list of all the groupofuniquenames objects in my ldap tree.
I really need the names of the objects and not the
objects themselves, so getResourceObjects won't
work for me.

Filter output data according to portal current user name in omni portlet

We have created an omniportlet that connects to a database, and retrives some values into a defined HTML layout.
We want to filter output data according to our portal current user name
When we try to use portal.wwctx_api.get_user inside of omni portlet select statement fallowing error occurs.

hello
i think you cannot use the portal built-in packages inside omni portlets. Omni portlets is designed to connect to other data source (not only oracle) and Portal API might not be available at these data sources. Therefore, you should not be using these Packages at all!. i tried very hard, but to no avail.. Omni portlet has its own repository!! if you cannot pass the infomration as a parameter, then find a different approach

Question on Filter Table button

Hi,
I have a matrix with a column 'Price'.
At the bottom of the form i have a button with a edit text, and when i press the button, i read every row of the matrix and i make the total of the column 'Price' and i put this total in the Edit Text.
If i use the 'Filter table' standard Sap, i not able to reproduce the same calculation, cause i'm not able to check if the row is visible or no!!
Have you got any idea??

How to refresh a table results before getting new results ?

Hello,
I receive in a table results from a BI query that is first fed from a selection screen with different dropdowns.
My problem is the following:
- when a new selection is made, the table is updated with new results : OK
- BUT when the result of the query is empty, the table keeps the last results
How can I fix this problem?

OK, the model is really simple:
- Form with several selection dropdowns
- BI query
- table with results
Everything is OK but, if there are already results in the table AND the user starts a new search that provides no result (no applicable data), the table is not updated and shows the last results, which is a problem ...
