Filters Disappeared in Layer Tab

This is odd. Some filters have disappeared from their associated object. I put a FADE IN/OUT on an object -- and it works -- but the FADE does not appear below the object, so I can't adjust it. Did I hit some button and turn something off? I feel like I need to reset the panel, like the way you can reset the sound panel in FCP.

Lower right hand corner of the Layers palette - click on the little gear - that controls the display/hiding of your behaviors...

Filters not in Layer Tab

When I apply filters to an object in a selected layer the filter is applied, but it does not appear in the layers tab. The little filter icon appears, but the filter does not show up below the layer it is applied to. If I add a behavior, the behavior shows up. However, if I go to the timeline, the behavior appears below the applicable layer in the hierarchy. Any ideas as to why only filters do not show up in the layer tab? Thanks in advance for the help.

At the bottom of the Layers tab are three little buttons that toggle the visibility of masks, filters, and behaviors. You probably have filters toggled off.

Why do my Print Management Custom Filters Disappear on Logoff?

Hello all,
I have created custom filters in the Print Management mmc for Windows Server 2008 R2. My problem is that when I log off the server, my custom filters disappear. Steps I have taken to diagnose issue:
1. Run Print Management as Administrator
2. Log in with Domain Admin account.
3. Attempt to create filters with multiple accounts.
Can anyone tell me why my custom filters do not save?

It does for me but I do not lose any filters using the default printmanagement.msc file either.    The customizations should be auto saved per user when exiting the application not just log off. If you can create filters and then close
printmanagement.msc and they are there when you reopen printmanagement.msc without logging off, then I would think that you have something clearing out where the data is stored when you log off.   It's not a printmanagement issue at that point.
I like creating the shared msc file so I can copy to others or just launch from any machine and have the same view when I am determining what is happening on a specific print server.   You will need to manually Save any changes when exiting
the mmc snapin.
One drawback with having multiple machines running WITH email notications is that you can get notifications from all the machines running the snapin. Just to be forewarned the first time you get multiple emails.

Change Layer Tab Width (might be willing to pay)

Hi,
I'm trying out the cs4 demo (I was using cs2 prior) and while I like the new customizability options for the UI I have one issue with it. In cs2 the layer tab was a lot smaller. In cs4 it's quite a bit wider. It's 65px wider in cs4 using medium text size. I narrowed the problem to the 'Blending Mode' drop down box. There is a lot of empty white space to the right of text. Can Photoshop be configured somehow to change this drop downbox to a smaller width or maybe allow the windows to shrink to a smaller width size? Is there an ini file that could be configured? In After Effects this is possible. While this may not be possible to do via scripting I'm sure its technically very easy to do
I know this sounds picky but every pixel available to workspace is important. I might be willing to pay if someone can help me out with this.

I have it set to medium. Even when I set it to small the layer menu is still quite a bit wider then it was in cs2.
Theres definitely a way to do this... but it might require modification of some of the core files of photoshop?
possible solutions?
- scripting
- create a custom layer tab with scripting
- modifying core files to either allow the tabs to be shrinked down further much like you can in After effects(part of the box just becomes invisible if it's too small.) or change the actual width of the "blending modes" drop down box.

Why do iOS 7 photo filters disappear?

Whenever I take a photo on my 5s using one of the built in photo filters, the picture appears orginal if I:
Load onto my computer
Put into a collage frame like Diptic
Upload to Tumblr
However, the filter stays on if I upload directly to facebook, instagram or twitter.
Why is the filter disappearing and reverting to original in some places? Especially the computer, and I am using a mac. It seems annoying to take a photo with a filter just to lose it.

Hey everyone.
This seems to be an intentional design choice by Apple.
The photos in ios7 are "lossless" which means the filters are applied distinctly from the raw image file. When that image is shared, sometimes that filter disappears based on what device / os / program is viewing it. I am thinking of the filter as a "tag" that is interpreted (or not) by the viewing program / device. For instance, syncing to iPhoto loses the iOS7 filter. Emailing it to myself retains the filter as a flat picture and loses the original. Posting to Google+ loses the filter and I can reapply a Google+ filter, etc.

I (kinda) understand the "lossless" rationale, but don't agree with it.

NIK filters disappeared in PS CC

While editing a photo in PS CC I went to my filters menu and selected one of the NIK filters. When I did I got an application error and PS closed down. When I brought PS back up and went to the filters menu the NIK filters had disappeared. I rebooted my PC (Windows 7), brought PS back up and still not there. I went to the application's plug-in directory and the NIK filters were there. I moved the NIK filter plug-in folder out to my desktop, brought PS back up, closed it back down and moved the folder back in to the plug-in directory. Still no help, the NIK filters just refuse to show up.
I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Any chance you are confusing the 32 and 64 bit versions of Photoshop (installing in one, then launching the other).
Also, have you updated the Nik/Google plugins to pick up bug fixes?

Prepopulate fields disappear from Prepopulate Tab in Form Designer

Have anybody noticed disappearing of prepopulate fields from prepopulate tab in Form Designer?
Yesterday I had configured prepopulate fields, but today I found emty tab.
Database worked correctly - I saw alert.log.
What can it be?
This is the second accident with disappearing prepopulate fields from prepopulate tab in Form Designer.

I found out! When you change the settings of generic connector and it begins to generate in OIM, the prepopulates disappear. And permissions to IT-resource, process definition and object permissons change.

PS CS4: Crop tool settings disappear as i tab through

I just received a new Macbook Pro laptop from employer, running Mac OS 10.9.4 and have Photoshop CS 4 Extended installed. I've been using PS for decades, last version used was CS2. I've never encountered this before.
In the Crop Tool options at the top left, if I enter 10 inches wide, tab to resolution (leaving vertical clear), the width setting disappears as soon as I enter something for the resolution. Tabbing back to re-enter width, the resolution entry disappears. Back and forth, back and forth. ARRRRGH. This happens if tabbing. i think it happened on a mouse click too but when checking just now mouse click worked ok..
This happens when I focus on only the vertical and resolution settings too.
Anybody else experiencing this? My co-worker right there (pointing left) says his does the same thing (CS4 on previous generation Macbook Pro) but over the past year he's gotten used to it. Is this a new "feature"? What am i missing? I would like to work the old way which doesn't sound unreasonable to me.

The crop tool always works like that, even though you enter precise values you can still make the selection as small/big as you like however once you accept the crop it will be the size you specified.
You could try using the Marquee tool, set Style to Fixed Size, enter the values you want and select the area you want to crop(this time it will remain the size you want it to be) and go to Image->Crop.
PPI matters only when printing, low PPI won't give you smaller files, only pixel dimensions count

No layer tab

I was a bit surprised, when starting a UI project, made of only vector shapes in Photoshop, and 2 layer comps, hiding some layer effects.
When i uploaded it to Project Parfait, it opened without any warning, but i only had the styles tab, no layer or asset tab.
I also had access to the selection of items, and the "generate assets", but without the assets tab, it turned out useless.
So, back to Ps, i tried adding a basic pixel layer, with no change.
Then i remembered being in a browser, and with web inspector, i could see :

I even set the missing tabs/panels as active and was able to export my data…

Layers disappearing from layer palette

Named layers that have been appearing in the layer palette
have now disappeared from the palette although the layers are still
appearning on the page. I am working on a template if that makes
any difference in Dreamweaver 8.

If they are in non-editable regions of the page they will not
be shown in
the layers panel.

Oracle Grid Scheduled jobs disappear from active tab?

Thread was posted before as a similar situation.
Grid Control jobs disappeared from schedule
But was never answered;
For Grid control v10.2.0.3 Unix box.
I was wondering if this is a bug within OGC. Some of the scheduled jobs disappear from the active tab and have to be re-submitted. Does anyone or has anyone experienced this? Agents are in synch, and the only thing that was done was a bounce of the database and possibly the box itself.

I have upgraded Discoverer 4i EUL to 10g EUL by using auto upgrade utility which comes with the Disocverer 10.1.2 and installed the Discoverer 10g Admin Edition on my PC. And I executed the batchusr_app.sql and assigned a user DISCREP(other than APPS). We are in APPS mode EUL. The script execution completed fine and the EUL5 packages were created under the DISCREP owner. When I log into the Discoverer Admin and select Tools/Privileges and at the point of assigning the result tables to a schema which is DISCREP, I am getting a message saying that 'EUL5_BATCH_REPOSITORY' package is wrong version and batchusr.sql script needs to be run. I ran the batchusr.sql script and when tried to assign the schema to own result tables it gave me the same message.
Any ideas. You may have gone through this during your upgrades or installation.

Search on screen bottom disappears when closing tab

With Firefox version 25.0 the behaviour of the "search" field (bottom left) seems to have changed: when I have multiple tabs opened and search i.e. in tab 1 for "search string" the other tabs don´t feature the same search. Instead I need to CTRL + F and enter the search string for every tab.
This slows down searching massively - typically you may open a bunch of Google links and then scan for the same search string.
Is there any setting I may use to overcome this? Or are there plans to revert to the "old style" behaviour?

In my fire fox window every thing has disappeared including firefox tab and address and menu bars and the problem is persisting even after reinstalling the brow

i used hotspot shield after that this problem occured. the whoole screen is blank and i cant see or do anything on firefox except closing it or opening a new tab via CNTROL +T

Can you bring up the menu bar with pressing the F10 key or tapping the Alt key?

I've just installed Firefox 7 on Mac OS 10.6.8 and Website IDs have disappeared on all tabs.

Both the Website ID window and the Google Search window are missing from every tab. This means I can only open websites that are bookmarked or in my history.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

Many but not all Favicons disappeared from my tabs & bookmarks last week - how can I get them back?

I have been using many of these for years, eg google and tvguide.co.uk but now they show as dot edged boxes instead of favicons on tabs. Others are OK eg Firefox and Facebook. All these sites still display correctly in other browsers.
I have: cleared history, cookies and cache / deleted and remade bookmarks / tried safe mode / restarted several times / tried some recovery addons, but nothing works.
I updated to FF 25 at about the time I noticed this problem and am running Windows 8

Do you see the favicon on the tab if you visit one of those sites?
Normally Firefox should fetch the favicon from the server if you click a bookmark to visit this link.
You can check these prefs on the about:config page to make sure that they have the default value.

Try to let all favicons expire to see if that makes Firefox to store properly them once again.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
you can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
You can delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js and user.js files to reset all prefs to the default value or reset these prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu on the about:config page or edit the prefs.js file and remove related line(s).
