Final Auto Attendant Prompt
Hi Guys,
I am configuring Exchange Auto Attended (Exchange 2013) and I've managed to get all of my personalized prompts in place but there is one exchange default one that I can't seem to find to disable...It's the one that says
"I couldn't hear you, please say the name of the person you want to contact, or the option you'd like to choose"
That final prompt doesn't sound professional, I am wondering if it's part of some kind of timeout or if it can even be changed.
THanks
Bryan
How have you been disabling them? You can search for the prompt in the <Program Files>\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\UnifiedMessaging\Prompts\<language>. They're pretty well named, once I find it, I'll usually
rename it .old and make a copy of the smallest blank one that's in the directory (sort by size) with the same name as the one you want to replace. Of course, you'll have to rinse and repeat on potentially many servers here and watch that it doesn't come
back with a patch, but it's one method.

Manage Auto Attendent Prompts from Outside Network
Is it possible to manage, edit, change auto attendant prompts in CME from outside network i.e.: calling in from outside line?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!Hi Dave Kallweit,
We don't have not a option modify from prompt thru TUI :-).

Reload Auto Attendant prompts in CME 4.2 without reload
does anyone know of a way i can reload the auto attendant prompts in cme 4.2 without having to reboot the router. I am thinking this has to be possible by reloading a command or 2, not rebooting the router.
so i tftp an .au file over to the router and override the current prompt but i still hear the old prompt until i reboot the router.
ThanksThis is actually a bit of a problem.
IOS do a certain caching on audiofiles on flash so that I've never found a way to force reload. The command supposed to do that is "audio-prompt load " but it doesn't work or sometime it makes the audio totally garbled. -
Custom Auto Attendant Prompts through TUI not working for users who migrated from 2010 to 2013
In Exchange 2010, we started using unified messaging and set up Auto Attendants. We setup a admin role/RBAC for people of a security group to be able to update the message on the auto attendants. They have the UMPrompts assigned role. All of this is working
great in 2010. We have now migrated to 2013, and the users who were migrated from 2010 to 2013 can no longer update the messages through TUI. Newly created 2013 users can and are assigned the EXASCT same permission as the users who have been doing this for
well over a year on 2010. When they call the AA and press #,* they are asked to provide their extension, after doing so the system tells them that extension is not correct. and asks for the extension again. Newly created users with the same permissions
get prompted for their PIN and can log in and change the message just fine.
Confirmed Bug? anybody else having this issue?
What would be different for this process between a user who was migrated from a previous version like 2010 compared to a newer user who has only ever existed on 2013?What if the migrated 2010 users are in the same DB as the system mailbox? I had a similar issue during a migration; http://www.skypeadmin.com/2014/11/10/known-issue-um-automated-attendant-tui-editing-broken-migration/

If anyone has some constructive words of advice on this issue, I would greatly appreciate them. I have come to a road block on this one issue with my SPA9000. It seems that after changing my scripts and messages my Auto Attendant is no longer available, it just gives a busy signal. So inbound callers get a busy signal, since its set to go to "aa" on inbound calls. I've done lots of things to try to pin point the issue including rolling back to a previous configuration(scripts etc.), and the only consistent thing I've noticed is both Auto Attendant( Directory -> Corporate Directory -> Auto Attendant) and pbx2 are responding with a busy signal. Even after a Factory Reset. When I was setting up my AA messages I did make a mistake and dialed "*72" instead of "****" then 72...(on FXS 2). That is the only possible cause from a human error perspective, that may have caused this issue. I've tried to see what that combination of key strokes may have done but there is no documentation (in my possession) that gives any insight. So if anyone may know where to look or has run into this before could you please point me in the right direction. -Thanks
not sure if this will help but when i ran into an AA problem before this resolved it...not sure why, but here it is anyway...
under the AA parameters of SIP tab enter a value on the Daytime field (For example, start=9:0:0;end=17:0:0 means the start time is 9 AM and the end time is 5 PM. The other hours (5 PM to 9 AM) are considered nighttime hours.)
DayTime AA: Yes (default)
DayTime AA Script: 1 (default)
Also, check if Current AA under Info tab (Auto Attendant Prompt Status ) states Daytime... -
Can you record an auto-attendant greeting from external phone on UC320
Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to record a new auto attendant greeting externally? My customer would like someone to record their gretting for them remotely. Is it possible? Or, can we upload a pre-recorded .wav file into the system?
The 2.2.2 firmware release notes contains the instructions to upload prerecorded auto attendant greetings:
The pdf is located here:
http://relnotes.ciscosbs.com/UC320W_rn_v2-2-2.pdf
Also from an external user can record an updating greeting by dialing into the UC320W and having the AA answer the call. Then dial the Auto Attendant Prompt Recorder extension (default 398) and the user will be prompted to enter the assigned password. After authentication then the caller can record prompts and save and delete them. -
Cisco TCL auto attendant without dial extension number
Hello, Im trying to use the TCL for auto attendant from the file its-Cisco.2.0.1.0.tcl but I need just the auto attendant prompt and not the extension number. At this moment I can do that but I listen two prompts (en_welcome.au and en_enter_destination.au) and I need just to listen the first one.

Multiple Schedules and Auto Attendant in UC560
Dear all,
I have configured two schedules in UC560 using CCA 3.0.1 (office_hours and break_time). I have then configured two auto-attendants. AA1 is used for office_hours and AA2 for break_time. AA1 is working fine. However, when it is break time, AA2 is not being used, instead the menu for closed hours in AA1 is used. If I swap office_hours and break_time as AA2 and AA1, then break_time is ok while office_hours settings do not work.
Internally, I can dial both AA extension numbers and get the correct prompt. The problem is when an external call comes in.
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?Hi Tiziana,
Sorry, I should have been more specific. What you have there is the built in script editor express. You can download the standalone CUE script editor here:
http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282825559&softwareid=282774364&release=7.0.6&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
Edit to add: I think there are also some sample scripts that may help you out there as well. Here is also the Unity Express Script Editor guide.
Best,

Good Day.
I have Exchange 2013 SP1 CU5, everything works fine except only one thing:
1. ECP/UM/UM dial plan/UM Auto Attendant
2. I am receiving error only when i am adding Prompt in Menu Navigation. In "Menu Navigation Entry" i could press "OK" button successfully, in "UM Auto Attendant" when i am pressing "Save" - "error. Your request
couldn`t be completed. Please try again in a few minutes"
I`ve already done:
1. Checked IIS bindings
2. Recycle ApplicationPools
3. Restart IIS
Nothing helps...Problem solved, in the prompt you shoudn`t use special charactes ^) ' " , / ' After i`1ve removed it from prompt everething saves ok.

Removal of Auto Attendant ....
Hi Gurus,
I am having some problems with the UC 520 namely,
1) Is it possible to remove the auto attendant?
2) I would like when people call in to the main line, it would be diverted to a voice hunt group.
The voice hunt group has already been configured as show below,
voice hunt-group 1 sequential

list 3309,3317,3318,3315

Indeed i am using a DID service.

IVR For Auto attendent Feature
Hi Friends
We have a customer requirement for implementing the "AUTO ATTENDENT" feature. We have to prepare the IVR for the same. The requirement is "1 should directly reach the extension number and 9 should directly reach the operator".
Pl tell how to perform this IVR. We want it very professionally.
Thanks and Regards
Karthik SridharanThe way I setup Greetings Admin is
1. I create a CTI route point with an extension and set it to CallForwardAll to Voicemail.
2. Create a Call Handler in Unity with that Extension
3. Make you or the user who would be recording the prompts as the owner for the Call Handler. (In the Profile - select Owner - Subsriber - click Change - select the user)
4. Go to Greetings and Standard - In the Source - Select Blank - In the After Greeting Action Select Send Caller to - Scroll down and select Greetings Administrator.
It is setup now, you can call the extension you created and get to the IVR for Greetings Admin. To record Greetings for each Call Handler you would need to know the extension of the Call Handler and you the person recording prompts needs to be the owner for those Call Handlers.
If you want more than one users to be able to record prompts, then add them to a Public Distribution list in Unity and select the list as the owner in Step 3.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello,
I followed the below procedure to setup auto attendent during SRST.
http://angryciscoguy.com/jello/auto-attendant-on-srstcme-gateway-without-cue/
Can anyone help with the audio files. Is there any place where I can get the suitable audio files.
Thanks in advance
Ajey ShettyHi.
You can record your prompts and than convert them in au format with many converters available online.
Itunes can also do that.
HTH

Carlo

Anyone ever create a simple Auto Attendant using UCCXD?
I want to create a general auto attendant that i can add prompts to get to existing queues already in production. Any ideas??
I usually have a resultHandler function, to handle stuff from the server.

Auto-attendant on CUCM 7.0
Hello,
is there anyway to configure autoattendant on CUCM 7.0?
ThanksHi javalenc,
I have implemented CUCMBE 7.1 on a linux system with unity.
Everythink works perfect.
But I need to configure auto attendant that can:
Answer a call
Play a user-configurable welcome prompt
Plays a main menu prompt that asks the caller to perform one of three actions:
Press 0 for the operator.
Press 1 to enter an extension number.
Press 2 to spell by name.
Please I need all the steps to through up to end. If possible the screen show of the steps.
