Final Cut collapse when exporting to FLV

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with exporting video to FLV.
On V2 there is a video of a man before a green screen that is cut out with the chroma key filter (unrendered). On A3&A4 is audio.
Then I do this... export->using quicktime conversion->then I select FLV->I go to options->
- profiles- custom
- video- codec:on2 VP6,enable 'encode alpha channel',enable 'deinterlace', quality 'high'
- audio- enable 'mp3'
then I press OK en then SAVE.
I see the timebar on 0% and Final Cut Pro collapse!
What am i doing wrong? is it CS3/CS4 problem?
Can someone please help me with this big problem?

Isn't exporting to YouTube? Why? Can't see your computer. What's happening on it?
Are the keywords in the export tags too long?

  • Final Cut having problems exporting after updating to Maverick

Since the update, Final Cut will only export videos in a reasonable amount of time when Final Cut is open to the front. Otherwise a 45 minute video takes 8+ hours to export. Not sure what has happened or how in the world to fix this.

Anyone Please Help i need to send these Documents and can't. Thanks

  • Can I use Final Cut During Compressor Export?

    Hi,
This is my first time using compressor and I'v read that you can use Final Cut while Compressor exports. When I start to export from Compressor, I get a message on Final Cut that says Frame X (what ever frame the export is on) and I can't use Final Cut when Compressor is exporting. I have rendered everything in Final Cut's timeline. Can I use Final Cut while compressor exports?
    Thanks,
    Zevie

    Zevie,
You would not lose any quality. You will speed things up considerably.
To set up compressor to use all your free cpu, you need to enable sharing with qmaster. On your system preferences, there should be a qmaster item.
There are lots of posts about how to set it up. Do a search on it. I think even apple has instructions on how to do it. You can read the compressor manual as well.
It is called distributed processing, and you will want to set up a quick cluster.
Here is an article about it. The only thing that I know is different is on Snow Leopard, you may have to select "Managed" in the services box for compressor. This will allow you to select the number of instances.

  • Final cut pro X export files bigger than originals

I got two WMV files, each file size about 500mbs, I converted them to mp4 using permute. Afther converting, each file size about 490mbs.
Then I open the mp4 files with final cut pro, I just want to mend the two clips together, it's that simple. I finish puting the clips adjacent to each other. Then hit export and chose encoding method .h264.
When final cut finished exporting, the movie is over 4GB in size.
Why is it so big ? the orginal files combined size is just about 1 GB.

    File numer 1
    format :H.264, 1,280 x 720 AAC, 48000 Hz, Stereo (L R)
    FPS: 29.97

  • Ripping dvd footage to Final Cut and re-exporting to DVD

    Greetings,
I'm taking footage off of various dvd materials with the intention of bringing them into final cut and re-exporting an edited product onto dvd. My method has been, thus far: to rip whichever chapters I'm looking for using Mac the Ripper, bring the chapters (VOBs) into MPEG Streamclip for 100% quality conversion to the 'Apple DV - PAL' setting, and then bringing those files into final cut for editing. However, it seems no matter what my export setting is, I'm getting quality loss on the finished product - a bit of pixelation (most evident on high-def televisions), etc. Converting the .VOBs to an Uncompressed setting wouldn't work as I'm working with hours of accumulated footage and the space it would consume wouldn't be a possibility. What I don't understand is why, when I burn a cloned dvd using Mac the Ripper there's hardly any quality loss at all, but here I'm getting quite a bit. Is this due to a re-compression happening somewhere? And is there any way of getting rid of it? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

There is about four or five generational losses in your workflow.
There isn't a way around that.
Use the original footage to preserve quality in the process.
Plus, why is MacTheRipper necessary with non commercial DVDs?

  • Final Cut Pro X Export Speed Problems

I'm having problems getting any real processor speed out of my Final Cut Pro X exports. Whether I do a direct native Pro Res export straight from FCPX or send to compressor with the same settings, or even change them to H.264 or something else, i more often get processing that looks like the included picture, barely one processor being tapped. Sometimes ill get 50 percent which is probably all direct export is meant to use, seems like Qmaster distributed processing still doesn't work here. Once i get the file out and then bring that into Compressor 4 I get no issues, can get 50 percent with regular submit and full speed all cores running with Quickcluster submit. Any ideas why this is happening?
Just to be clear, these are native ProRes HQ clips, no effects, nothing, just selects I'm trying output, and since we can't do reference clips anymore, well....

TThe most common cause of this problem is that the media hasn't been imported properly and is still referencing a camera card or archive. If you press Cmd-E and no dialog appears, this can be one cause.

  • How does final cut pro x export a file if it has not finished rendering?

How does final cut pro x export a file if it has not finished rendering?
So today I finished a project: Share >Export > as a pro res 422 and I'm now burning with iDVD as we speak. FCPX is still doing background rendering! I hope my DVD turns out ok....

You don't need to render before export.
    Rendering is for playback.
If your project plays OK from the storyline, you can safely turn off rendering in preferences.

Right click the external icon on the Desktop and select Get Info.
This will tell you the current format.

  • Final Cut Crashes when I try to export a batch list - help!

I'm doing a very large documentary project and each tape has extensive log notes. I use the batch list function to export tabbed text files and convert them to excel - very useful in the creative process when figuring out story structure etc.
But now every time I try to export a batch list final cut crashes - any ideas on how to get around this?
    please help.

Are you batch exporting the enrire project maybe?
Might try selecting just your capture bins and trying to batch export those. Could be a sequence or graphic file making it go kookoo.
If the sheer size of it is making FCP choke you could try selecting a single bin and then doing batch export. Do that for all your bins and assemble them in excel.

  • Final Cut Pro X -- Export is Low Quality?

I'm wondering about some of the behavior on export with Final Cut Pro X.
While editing my videos, I set preferences to 'use proxy media' to make playback smoother.
However, when I go to export the video as a high-quality 1080p file it's clear that Final Cut is using the proxy files to make this video -- rather defeating the point of exporting at 1080p.  Now, it's not a problem if I switch playback in preferences from 'use proxy media' to 'use high quality media' -- then the export is actually high quality.
My question is this: is final cut supposed to work this way?  Why on Earth would it not default to use the highest quality files when exporting?  It's not a huge deal, but it is annoying when I spend several hours exporting a project only to find out at the end that I accidently left playback on 'proxy media' and have to restart the process.

I've read a few threads on this issue.  Are you using the share feature or exporting to compressor? My understanding is when you export you need to set to original or optimize setting in preference.

  • Final Cut Pro X export troubles: exports video with only half the audio.

Ever since I updated Final Cut Pro X, I've been having problems exporting. I either get error messages or the audio doesn't fully export. When I tried exporting a master file to my desktop, I got a message saying “error occurred when creating frame” then lists the frame number. Someone suggested copying the project file and pasting it into a new project. I did that, and it exported without the error popping up; but halfway through the video, the audio disappears, and does so in the same spot it disappeared in a previous youtube export before I tried the copy/paste method. I don't have the original footage; I'm making color correction changes to an edit; so I'm not sure if the second half of the video is somehow corrupted, don't know how to check that, and not sure what to do if it is.
Another suggestion given to me was to delete the event my footage is in, then create a new event, re-upload all the footage into that one, and relink my project files to it. He also said don't delete my event and project folder at the same time, which I'm not even sure how you simultaneously delete two things on a laptop. I don't understand how this method would work though, since deleting the event makes my project disappear since it has nothing to link to. I'm scared to try this method since I don't want to lose my work; I really don't want to color correct it all over again.
Is there any way to successfully export the file suitable for youtube posting, or is this a bug in the system they haven't fixed yet?

    Just turned off background rendering.
I'm not certain what you mean for specs in a specific point in the video, but here are the specs for the entire edit I initially received:
    Dimensions: 1920 X 1080
    Codecs: H.264, AAC, Timecode
    2 Audio Channels
    Total bit rate: 12,083
Size: 951,735,770 bytes (951.7 MB on disk)
Here are the specs for the exported video that has the audio issue:
    Dimensions: 1920 X 1080
    Codecs: H.264, AAC, Timecode
    2 Audio Channels
    Total bit rate: 12,274
Size: 966,817,082 bytes (966.8 MB on disk)
The video is 10:28 minutes long and the audio leaves at 5:57.
If that wasn't what you were looking for, just let me know. I'm not very good with technical stuff sometimes so may have misunderstood.
Is there something I should have done to the piece before I began color correcting it, like transcoding?
