FINAL CUT ON A NETWORK: SERIAL NUMBER PROBLEM

I need some help here please..
I have a network with 3 diferrent macs... FInal Cut pro 4.5 has two only serial numbers... (in SERIAL BOX )
one starts with c-345 and the other with C-287
The proble is that Final cut detects the same serial number on the network and refuses to open up...
I have already installed both serial numbers on a G4 and a G5.. now i am installing a EMAC... and im afraid if i put the same serial number i wont be bale to operate in the network
The problem is: i need another serial number in order to operate the three versions of final cut? or is there another way of using the final cuts without having to disconect the machine from the network???
PLEASE I NEED SOME HELP HERE

Final Cut Studio Educational version serial number

I've been using an educational version of Final Cut Studio for years, and now it is asking me for my name and serial number before I open the program. I've looked at the box that the discs come in, and have found some numbers, but they don't seem to be the serial numbers and they don't work. Is there somewhere else that these serial numbers may be? Also, is there a reason why I am forced to put in my information to log in now?

There are two stickers with the serial # attached to the "Installing your software" pamphlet that came with the suite. This is the only place that you will find it.

Have you recently had the computer repaired? The encrypted serial is tied to the Logic board ID. You will need to delete that file if so.

Final Cut tells me "invalid serial number" after clearing my early 2010 27 inch imac and trying to reinstall

I wiped my hard drive after completing a time machine backup on my desktop. it was getting really slow and buggy (800 of 1tb full, lots of music freeware, sample downloads etc.). I already used one of the serial numbers that came with my final cut install box (they're two of the same number?) on a laptop, and now after clearing the drive, it is telling me that the number is invalid. How do i nullify the original use of my serial number from before I cleared my drive? And if it matters, I do have every original file from my hard drive with final cut installed backed up, in case there is any way to restore an entire app and all of its necessary components through time machine. Make sure you're entering the serial number correctly. I think each set of 3 characters is either all numbers or letters (not a combination of numbers and letters). This will help to differentiate zeros from the letter o, etc.

Final Cut Pro not accepting serial number??

I was working on a project just fine this morning. I close out and just tried to open Final Cut and it brought up the licensing window, so I put in the serial number and it says it's not a valid number. What happened??? Im on it for an hour this morning and now Im blocked out 5 hrs later?? I have Final Cut Pro 7.

I'm having the exact same issue as Chester Finney1. I would LOVE to know how you fixed it, because I can't seem to. If anyone knows how to fix this without needing to contact Apple, that would be fantastic!!!

Lost Final Cut Pro Disc - Have Serial Number - What to do?

We have FCP Studio 5.1 and we have our serial number and all proof of purchase etc. We got a new computer and somehow have lost the discs. Is there a place to get, purchase, or download just the software and then we can enter our serial number to activate it and register it. Thanks.

Contact Apple at its main number with your proof of purchase.
Also, file a claim with your insurance company.

Final Cut upgrade serial number problems

A few years ago I upgraded Final cut Pro 4 to the first Final Cut Studio release, which included Final Cut Pro 5. I just recently had to wipe my hard drive and start over, but now I can't seem to install Final Cut Studio. It's asking for the serial number, and I'm using the serial number from Final Cut Pro 4, but it's not working.
My question: am I missing a serial number? I was under the impression that Final Cut upgrades use the serial number from the original full version you are upgrading from.

Aperture 2 install - serial number problem

Disclaimer: I'm pretty good on a pc. Absolutely terrible on Mac, never had so many problems with tech :/
So...I have my serial number from the back of the Aperture 2 "Installing your software" booklet. Checked that I'm entering "I's" not "1's." Got dashed between the sequences. Capslock on etc. Searched forum, quite a few posts on serial number problems. None matched.
Enter serial number. Second window pops up stating I've entered an upgrade serial number (I only have the expired trial version of Aperture installed), and requesting my "serial number."
I'm lost now. Checked my original docs, there's nothing on Aperture trial version. Fired up the trial and I see what looks like a license key (to Apple, not me) on the launch screen. That's not accepted by Aperture 2.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.

There is a tiny label on the bottom edge of the box. Mine says "Aperture 2.0 Retail". The tiny label on my box for Final Cut Express 4 says "Final Cut Express 4.0 UPG". Does yours not say "UPG" on that little label? If not, you should be able to return it for the full version (plus pay the difference, of course). If it does say "UPG" you might be out of luck as most open software can't be returned.

Hopefully one of these steps should solve the problem.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers
    Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2. Remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.

6. System Preferences > Sound> Sound Effects
    Play sound effects through:
   Select "Internal speakers" and then back to "Selected sound output device".

I downloaded first the trial version of Photoshop, after 30 days finished but the icon still remained.
Now, when purchased a creative suite 4 Designe premium, installed, all programs are fine, just the photoshop not working, asking for serial number but when I type the right numbers, doesn`t accept.
What can I do? any idea?
to uninstall the photoshop and install again?
but if I have the other programs working and installed?

I have FCE 2 bought from B&H PhotoVideo in New York City. I tried to register the program at the Apple net pages. First there was a problem in getting the Apple registration page to accept my manufacturer product number (the other number, not the serial number). Well, finally the number was accepted, but I never got any confirmation email from Apple - I suspect my product was not registered. So I suppose I cannot upgrade to FCE 3.5 . A bit strange. Do these big photo stores sell some kind of grey market Apple programs (in the same way they import camera lenses directly from Asia, lenses which don´t have the same guarantee, in spite of being made by the same manufacturer)? Are there this kind of Apple products as well?

Serial Number Problem Solved

The Problem: When I converted to Leopard, I needed the original serial number of Final Cut Express 1.0 to run the program. I no longer had it but I had 3 updates since, they didn't help. I called Apple Care, they don't keep your serial number when you register. I went to the Apple Store, they could not help.
The Answer: When you upgrade to Leopard there is a file that does not transfer over (this never happened before). Check out-- /Library/Application Support/ProApps, the file is "Final Cut Express System ID". This text file keeps all your serial numbers for the product. I had made a bootable backup of my Tiger System and found the file there. Just copy it over. I hope this may help someone in the future.

Thanks. I wish I had seen this post earlier. I ended up calling Apple to try and get a new serial number since I could not find my original FCE program disk from 2004. The person I got was unable to help (so he says). I pressed him on how to find the registration file on the backup I made prior to installing Leopard. He said transferring the file would not work. I asked him to tell me where it was anyway, as I am stubborn at times. He finally told me, and it worked perfectly, just like you said here. Moral of the story is not to take their advice as the gospel, regardless of how certain they seem to be (this guy swore others had tried it and it didn't work). He was soooo wrong!! (which really bugs me, as others are often not as persistent).

After Effects cs5.5 aerender.exe Serial Number Problems

We upgraded our company from cs2 to cs5.5 Windows 7 OS.
We are trying to get our renderfarm machines to install render-only versions of the after effects render engine. We've have got it to install.. but when we send the command line renders we get the error:
"Unable to obtain a license. Please run the full application to correct the problem or get a more detailed message."
When we run the full app, it tells us to register with our serial number.
The problem is we only have a certain amount of serials for our workstation computers, and don't want to use up all the activations on the render-only units.
I attempted to call phone-support over the last few days, and the only answer that comes back is that you DO NOT have to enter the serial number.. although my error message tells me otherwise.

Todd, I'm pleased you're all taking a look at the situation.
My memory certainly is not perfect, and I wouldn't expect yours to be; but here's a cut and paste from pg. 625 of the CS3 user guide:
"You can render one or more compositions from a project using multiple computers over a network in a fraction of the time that a single compute rwould require. Network rendering involves copying the project and source files to a networked folder, and then rendering the project.If you have a full licensed copy of After Effects, you can set it up to work with render-only versions of After Effects called render engines. Your license entitles you to install as many copies of the render engine as you want on your network, as long as one activated copy of After Effects is installed on that network."

IWork 2005 Serial Number problems on MacPro ...

I installed my registered copy of Keynote and Pages [iWork 05] on a new MacPro. After the initial serial number request each application runs. However subsequent access to either application requires repetitive serial number association. I can't run the applications unless I reinsert the serial number each time they are launched.
I removed all files that were associated with the iLife 06 trial that comes pre-bundled on the MacPro. I can't seem to figure out what's causing this. Anyone have a clue?

I solved the problem. First, I was in fact logged in as admin.
I spent most of yesterday and today migrating over to a new MacPro. The last step was Final Cut Studio. Everything seemed to be stable. The only glitch was this iWork serial issue.
An hour ago I started to work on an audio segment in preparation for distribution on the web. I launched one of my main signal processing plugins, and guess what? Same problem. It would not maintain my registration.
I deleted all preference files for iWork and the Plugin - and ... I repaired permissions . This solved the problem.
It didn't dawn on me to do this, although I guess it should have. I was too caught up in the excitement of getting the new system configured, up, and running.
