Final Cut Pro version 6.0.5 update

Where can I find Final Cut Pro update version 6.0.5?

Apple pulls older updates when current ones come out so you are SOL through that venue.
Perhaps some kind person who downloaded the stand alone installer is willing to share or you can find it on an unofficial mirror site.
Good luck,

  • How to I get a folder to open up in Final Cut Pro version 6 thats off my desktop?

How do I get a folder to open up in Final Cut Pro version 6.  I'm on a MAC OS X Version 10.6.8.  The movie folders I imported on my desktop from a Lacie Rugged Triple external hard drive.   When I try to import the folder a pop up comes up that says, "ERROR: No translatin templates matching the selected XML file were found.  Unable to import this file."   When I try and drag the folder into Final Cut a pop up comes up that reads "Please choose a translation document file".  What should I do or what am I not doing?

  • What version of Quicktime is best for Final Cut Pro version 6.0.5?

    Hello,
Could anyone tell me what version of Quicktime works best with Final Cut Pro version 6.0.5? Currently I have QT version 7.6.2.
Unfortunately, all the clips are digitizing at 640 x 480 instead of 720 x 480 (I have trashed prefs and checked the sequence settings and Easy Setup, both are set at NTSC 720 x 480). I have also completely re-installed FCP from the original disks.
When I digitize a clip, it digitizes at 640 x 480. When I open the clip itself and look at the properties, the "Presentation" is set to "Clean" (640 x 480) instead of "Classic" (720 x 480). It keeps defaulting to Clean, and therefore digitizing at 640x480.
Should I uninstall QT and go back to an earlier version? If so, which one would be best? Or is there an easier way to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance for any help. I've been struggling with this problem for over a week.

You list Sequence settings and Easy Setup, but is there any chance your Capture Preset somehow got tweaked to NTSC 4x3 (640x480), instead of it's normal setting of DV NTSC 3x2 (720x480)
From the extent of troubleshooting steps you've taken, this would be unlikely, but heck your Capture Preset and make sure it's correct.

  • Final cut pro version 4.0.1 is supported on which version of Mac

    I want to know
final cut pro version 4.0.1 is supported on which version of Mac.
Which compressor should I use with this Final Cut Pro version.

FCP 4.0 was the most unstable version of FCP out there. I highly recommend not using it. SO much wrong with it that I can't list it all. BUT, it only supported DV and offline RT (low res format), and then uncompressed SD and Uncompressed HD (need supporting hardware). It ran on Mac OS 10.2 and 10.3...last supported OS was 10.3. It didn't come with Compressor. Compressor was made years after that version of FCP.

  • Final Cut Pro version 5.0.4

    Hello Everyone:
I have a question for you:
Do you know if I can use Final Cut Pro version 5.0.4 to capture the files (video) that was shot with the new Sony HVR-Z7E video camera.
    Thanks
    Damon

Should be able to. This looks like a standard HDV camera.

I can never get past the stage of the Final Cut App logo bouncing on my desktop. The only options I have available is to force quit as the "application is not responding"
It's possible the alias in the Dock is corrupted.
Drag that icon off the Dock and let it go on a blank area of the Deasktop. Poof, it should be gone.
Go to the Applications folder and drag the FCP X icon into the Dock or start FCP X from the Application folder.
Trashing the Preferences as suggested may help.
Also use Disc Utitlity and repair permissions.

  • Will the new final cut pro x work with my Final cut pro version 6.0.6 data

will the new final cut pro x work with my Final cut pro version 6.0.6 data

    Thanks Tom.
So I will need  upgrade to FCP 7 first, then convert to an XML file in 6.0.6, then convert to another file that FCP X can read? I have a lot of half done projects that need finishing. Is this process very complex and time consuming?
Maybe I should be approaching this from a different angle. The reason I am asking is that I now need to upgrade to a new Mac book pro and have been told that I cant run final cut pro 6.0.6 on the new models using maverick. Is this true?

  • Final Cut Pro version 1 and OS 9 Classic?

Will my old copy of Final Cut Pro 1 work in the OS 9 Classic environment?
    Has anyone tried this?
I used to run FCP 1 on a PowerMac G3 and want to run it on my Powerbook G4. I know about the updates to the new versions , but I was wondering if FCP 1 will work in the classic mode.

Michael, if you can operate classic mode, you probably have os9.2.2 on your machine.
open preferences and see if you have the option to change the start up os. It's on the bottom somewhere. Boot up in os 9, install FCP and see if it works.
But whether or not FCP1 will operate in 9.2.2 is a good question. I started with 1.25 and the OS at that time was 9.04 If I remember correctly. You HAD to update to 9.2.2 if you wanted to install FCP3

  • Can I still download Final Cut Pro X 10.0.9 update?

Currently trying to get a bunch of school Macs onto the same version of Final Cut Pro X as we have a few with 10.0.5 installed etc.
I would like to get all machines onto version 10.0.9 (running Lion) but haven't been able to find a way to do this.
When I try going through App Store it says I need Mavericks to upgrade FCPX (which we aren't ready to do as yet).
Is there a link that I can get access to download the update to version 10.0.9?
Any help greatly appreciated as I'm out of my depth trying to look after these macs.

I think that you need at least Mountain Lion from what it says here , but even then may not be made available by the app's developer.
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
    The last paragraph reads
    Additional Information
Note: Some earlier versions of apps may not be downloadable from the App Store if the app's developer has chosen not to make them available. If you don't see the version of the app you are looking for, contact the app developer for more information. The developer's contact information can be found on the app's product page on the App Store.
Might be worth contacting the app developer to see if they can help.
Originally FCP X was even  compatible with Snow Leopard  but subsequent updates have meant that it no longer is.
I was considering buying it just for fun ( I'm not a professional, just home movies of the family). But alas he who hesitates is stuffed.
Probably overkill for home movies anyway?

  • Final Cut Pro, doesn't launch after updating to 5.1.4.

    Hello there,
I tried opening an older project with the version 5.1. but it only gave me an GENERAL ERROR 41. Then I downloaded the update to 5.1.4. and the application doesn't event want to launch anymore!!
What can I do, what else could've gone wrong. Before the update, I was able to open the program, but now not eve that! The logo jumps on the sidebar, the numbers start running on the opening screen, and then it turns it self off again. I already disconnected and reconnected my scratch disks, restarted the computer several time, etc...what else can I try!
    HELP!!

    Trash your preferences.
You can use a third party tool to do this, such as the venerable <a href="http"//fcprescue.andersholck.com">FCP Rescue or the more feature rich Preferences Manager ... both are free.
or you can do it yourself
    excepted below:
    Delete the User Preferences
You can resolve many issues by restoring Final Cut Pro back to its original settings. This will not impact your project files, but you should verify your Scratch Disk location setting after doing this. To reset your Final Cut Pro user preference settings to their original state, do the following:
In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Preferences—the tilde (~) represents your Home folder.
Remove the "com.apple.finalcutpro.plist" file from the Preferences folder.
Remove the "Final Cut Pro User Data" folder from the Preferences folder.

  • I can`t start final cut pro x since the latest update lion

Final Cut pro X is starting but you can`t working with this program since the latest update Lion

I don't know what 15992 is talking about, the only way FCPX can be installed is with the App Store application on a Mac, which installs the FCPX application (it is a program) into the Applications folder, and puts the Events and Projects folders in the internal drive Movies folder.
If the user uses FCPX to move events and projects to other drives, FCPX knows it and creates those folders on those drives. Doing a sytem update will have no effect on any of those folders. Russ is right, please provide more details.

  • Installation of Final Cut Pro Version 2013 with OSX 10.7.5

In 2013 I bought Final Cut Pro for my MacBook (version 2007 with OSX 10.7.5). Meanwhile I had to reinstall the hard drive and set-up the MacBook again. As there is now only the latest version available in the AppStore, I cannot install this version 10.1.4 as it is not compatible with my 10.7.5. OSX. Is there any chance to get the version 2013 (June) to install it again? Thanks for support!

Also take a look at this doc.
You could install a more recent OS on a separate drive or partition and run a dual boot system.

  • I need to reinstall Final Cut Pro Version 10.1.1 but can't remember the Apple ID I used to install it in 2012.  What can I do?

For several days, I've been trying to upload Final Cut Pro but keep getting this message "restoring the window layout" but nothing happens.  Not even after 2 hours.  What have I done wrong and how can I redress this problem?

Open your Home library (not the root library), Application Support/Final Cut Pro/Layouts. Drag the folder to the trash. Npw re-launch the app.
Just to add…your subject line doesn't seem to  agree with the content of your post. If you can't remember your Apple ID, contact Apple.

  • Looking for Final Cut Pro Version 6

I'm looking to upgrade from FCP Version 5 to Version 6, but my G5 is pre-Intel. Anyone have suggestions on where to obtain FCP 6 besides just buying a new Intel G5? I would like to get a new G5, but the economy forced me to look at least upgrading as far as I can with my current G5, first.
    Thanks for any assistance!

First of all, a G5 computer uses a Motorola processor, not an Intel.
There's no such thing as an Intel G5.
