Final Cut Pro X - Error... "Incompatible Audio Units Found"

Can anyone help me?
I tried using one of the audio compressor AU plugins in FCPX, which caused a crash. Ever since, this error keeps coming up at launch. FCPX seems to be working fine, but I don't know how to fix this error message...
Would appreciate any advice.
Thanks!

Archiving projects would certainly be a good idea. Unfortunately, I am editing a project which is the collaborative effort of a host of volunteers who made hundreds of shots spread across events that need to be kept available throughout the editing process. So, yes, we are pushing the application past reasonable limits. Still, the project is good fun.
As an experienced editor (Media100, FCP4-7, Premiere Pro), I would have been happier to have been able to continue along the FCP7 path. FCPX is not my cup of tea, apparently, even though, by now, I have become rather familiar with the application. FCP7 was quicker, more stable (yes) and gave me infinitely better control. Or at least a much better "sense of control" so as not to offend any supporters or fans of the new application. So that's just my personal opinion.
But I must admit that it is impressive to see how easy and enjoyable Apple has made it for even absolute beginners in video editing to put something decent together without much explanation or training. I have seen this with a few of the volunteers I am working with on this project. FCPX certainly has its merits, therefore, but you are absolutely right in your comment. We must try to keep our active (and actually mounted)  "Final Cut Projects" and "Final Cut Events" folders small, setting aside those which do not necessarily have to be available  in separate "parking" folders. For the next project (in general language, not FCPX jargon), I will bear this in mind myself. Cheers.

  • Final Cut Pro / problem with old Audio Units effects

    Hello,
Has anyone encountered this problem in Final Cut Pro:
I had a set of Waves plugins, but I installed a new set of them and deleted the old ones + preferences and anything connected to them.
When I start Final Cut, the program is asking "Where is Waves plug-ins folder?" and it is searching for my old waves folder...
I tried to look in the manual and in the program's pull down menus, but there's no answer offered..
I can get the program running though, if i click "cancel" for each of the waves plugins that used to be in the old folder.
    Any experiences? Help much appreciated,
    Eero

  • Final Cut Pro X to edit audio programs, for instance an audio podcast?

I am a trial user: Can I use Final Cut Pro X to edit audio programs, for instance an audio podcast?

You could, but GarageBand might be easier.

  • Final Cut Pro X Error in relink file

Final Cut Pro X. I have a problem: I can not relink the original files of a project that I've moved on an external hard drive. After finishing the work, I run a copy of the project following the procedures of Final Cut Pro X, but now that I reserve that project at the time to reconnect the file, it gives me this error "Incompatible file. The original file and new files have different audio source and channel counts. Relinked files must have the same media type and similar audio channels as the original files, and must be long enough to cover all the clips That reference the files ". The other times I had done this, it made me work quietly. Is the first time that happens to me. What has happened? How can I fix the problem?
My version of Final Cut Pro X is 10.1.3, and my operating system is OS X Maveriks 10.9.5.
    Help me, thank you.

Wow, that was quick. Which drive do I rename? The external or the one with Mac OS installed?

  • Incompatible Audio Units Found

    Hello,
I just downloaded and installed Final Cut Pro X (10.1.2 on Mavericks 10.9.4).
Each time I launch application I have to dismiss manually this alert:
in order to be able to start to work in app.
Any ideas why this alert appears and is it possible to repair the issue?
    Thank you,
    Maxim

    HI Luis,
    Thank you for prompt reply!
But.... If everything would be so simple...
I already followed the instructions on removing audio plugins from both places on my Mac. BTW there was no any audio plugins in those folders at all.
On the other hand the alert from FCP X shows exactly what plugin is the culprit in my situation: it is  AuNetSend audio unit.
As I know Audio Units are a system-level plug-in architecture provided by Core Audio in Mac OS X developed by Apple Computer. So the case is in one of the audio plugins from Mac OS itself.
So I don't know how and where to find this plugin and how delete (disable) it.
Do I you have any other thoughts on this matter?
    Thanks,
    Maxim

  • Final cut pro - editing music video audio falls out of sync

filmed with canon 7D- i play the music in the background for th artist to perform. upon loading up the footage into final cut, i sync the start of the video audio with the record, as they both play it falls out of sync. i did not have this problem when i edited with premiere. any ideas

Sync issues are *usually* going to be mismatched sample rates, for instance, you imported 44.1kHz audio into a 48kHz project.
This happened to me awhile back, and unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what I did to fix it. But what I *think* I did was click on the imported audio and went to the Retime menu and selected Conform Speed. If that doesn't work, right click on the audio in the event browser and select Transcode (if there's an option to do so in the dialog).
It is also possible to manually resync audio by Retiming it. Turn on snapping (N), select the clip, type Command-R and drag the audio clip's retiming handle until the end of the audio snaps with the end of the video clip (this is actually amazingly accurate.) [If your recorded audio is not the same length of the audio on the video, then set markers on the video and audio tracks and retime until the markers snap.] You should do this before any other edits.

  • Split clips in Final Cut Pro X are losing audio

So I am new to final cut and on my maiden voyage I came across an interesting problem:
Whenever I use the blade tool to split my clips I am losing audio on the rest of the clip. I am using footage uploaded from a P2 card. The raw footage has audio and I only lose it on the right side of wherever I use the tool. Anyone heard of this and know of a solution?

Thanks Tom, I may have partially figured this out...I just inserted a transition...and all of the video/audio went out of sync from that point on (in that clip). So, if I just don't use transitions, I'm OK...NOT! Let me see if I can get a screenshot.

  • Final Cut Pro X – error message when exporting project

    Hi,
When sharing a project to Master File I get an error message (error 1) – error occurred when creating frame (10387, 12723, 12836 and so forth).  I keep editing and cutting these ‘bad’ frames out (with the blade), but it keeps finding new error frames.  I originally found the bad frames as they were showing up green in the timeline. Now, I can't find any more green/bad frames, but the error messages keeps coming up.  The file shares to 29% and then stops.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? How can I get rid of these error messages? How can I export (share the Master File) the project?
    Thanks,
    Alicia

Are you working 0n 10.0.9? If not, update FCPX and see whether that solves the problem.

  • Final cut pro x not sending audio to compressor

I have a project on FCP X and when I send it to compressor, the audio does not show up in the preview or in the actual exported video. The audio works fine one the FCP X timeline. Is there any way to fix this issue without having to reinstall FCP X and what is the reason behind this. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

The audio was still missing after export. I also deleted all the renders and rerendered as well as deleted all FCP and Compressor preferences with Preference Manager to no avail.

  • Final cut pro x (error -12908).

hey all... im fairly new to fcpx, but when i decided to export a video i made (due tomorrow might i add) i came up with the following error message:
The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when encoding frame 0 (error -12908).
What can i do to fix this? havn't had this problem exporting in the past!

Wow, that was quick. Which drive do I rename? The external or the one with Mac OS installed?

  • Final Cut Pro 7 error message (out of Memory)

I have an 8 core 6 gigs of ram. My mac is configured for HD video using XDCam footage.
I get a message that I am out of memory. 26:30 program and I have a lot of filters on my footage.
Can you tell me how I can release my memory? Conrol Command P R?
Can some help me with this?
    Steve

I have a few times ... strangely enough, when rendering to another internal drive with plenty of space, but the boot drive was 98% full (not my system).  When you have too little free space on the boot drive (which the system uses for temp and swap files), all sorts of wonky things start happening, and not just in FCP so I suggested checking that since MtD had already covered the graphics issue.
But you are correct; the error message is usually the result of importing an improper file format or still image not to proper specs.  With still images, it can happen not only with CMYK color mode images, but also with images in Grayscale or Indexed color modes.

  • Final Cut Pro Configuration Error

I have been working on a project off and on for sometime and opened it today...or should I say attempted to open it.
It would not open, but instead produced the following message.
    CONFIGURATION ERROR!
This software requires certain hardware or software which is missing.
    • 512MB of RAM.
Anyone know what the problem is?
    PowerBook G4 Mac OS X (10.3.9) FCP 5 HD

While your machine may have 512MB of RAM, FCP requires that much just for it to run. So if you have 512, your OS is taking up a healthy chunk of that. FCP requires a minimum 1GB of RAM to work.

  • Audio Levels Final Cut Pro Express

I have the latest ver of Final Cut Pro Express. The audio on the time line shows just a straight line indicating the audio level. I would like to see the actual audio waveform on the time line. I went into the preferences menu and checked the box that read "show waveform on timeline", but that didn't correct the problem. I still have a straight line audio level. Any ideas anyone?

Cmd is the Command key, the Apple key. It works if there is audio in the timeline that has a waveform, if the timeline is the active window, and if you wait a moment for the waveform to be drawn. You can also do it with the little popup triangle in the lower left of the timeline window near the track height buttons.
