Final Cut Pro X – error message when exporting project

Hi,
When sharing a project to Master File I get an error message (error 1) – error occurred when creating frame (10387, 12723, 12836 and so forth).  I keep editing and cutting these ‘bad’ frames out (with the blade), but it keeps finding new error frames.  I originally found the bad frames as they were showing up green in the timeline. Now, I can't find any more green/bad frames, but the error messages keeps coming up.  The file shares to 29% and then stops.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? How can I get rid of these error messages? How can I export (share the Master File) the project?
Thanks,
Alicia

Are you working 0n 10.0.9? If not, update FCPX and see whether that solves the problem.

  • Error message when exporting project

Hi.  recently I haven't been able to export movies in any format or through any option.  I used to be able to seamlessly.  But now I'm getting this compression error:
(The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.Compressor.CompressorKit.ErrorDomain error -1.)
I know how to use Final Cut Pro X fairly well but I've never dealt with compression or even know which one I may have typically successfully used in the passed.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Guessing that you have an earlier version of FCP X running on Mavericks? If so, the app needs to be updated.

  • Final Cut Pro Audio Levels Low when exporting to mp3 and mp4

Hi everyone!  When I export audio from Final Cut as an mp3, my levels are very low.  When I export footage as an mp4, the audio is low as well.  But before exporting, my levels are right at or below 0.  So they are where they should be.  So for example, when I open the audio in Adobe Audion or Logic, they could almost be doubled before peaking within those programs.  Could this be a compression issue?  And input would be helpful.  Thanks!

  • Final Cut Pro 7 error message (out of Memory)

I have an 8 core 6 gigs of ram. My mac is configured for HD video using XDCam footage.
I get a message that I am out of memory. 26:30 program and I have a lot of filters on my footage.
Can you tell me how I can release my memory? Conrol Command P R?
Can some help me with this?

I have a few times ... strangely enough, when rendering to another internal drive with plenty of space, but the boot drive was 98% full (not my system).  When you have too little free space on the boot drive (which the system uses for temp and swap files), all sorts of wonky things start happening, and not just in FCP so I suggested checking that since MtD had already covered the graphics issue.
But you are correct; the error message is usually the result of importing an improper file format or still image not to proper specs.  With still images, it can happen not only with CMYK color mode images, but also with images in Grayscale or Indexed color modes.

  • TS4522 I have a finished project, but Final Cut Pro has grayed out the export option. How do I fix this to upload my file to youtube and burn dvds?

Hi guys, I really need help trying to figure out why Final Cut Pro will not allow me to export my project. I have done this in the past and had no problems at all with other projects, and I have done nothing different from what i can tell. Any help???

    Hey Tom,
Thankyou for your help. No, I have done this and it does not work. I have tried clicking and dragging, selecting the file in the project library, selecting individual files etc etc etc. The only thing that may have helped me out was last night...I clicked on a tab in FCP on the far right side (that must have something to do with exporting as well) and a small screen popped up after clicking it stating i cannot export the file while it is still referencing media off of the camera. I dont understand this either? I do have to have my camera connected before FCP will RECOGNIZE the media clips, but they have all been imported to my external hard drive and once i click import from camera, it is complete within seconds, so the hundreds of video clips i am using are obviously saved on there somewhere already....im at a loss here as to what to do. Do i have to literally download ALL MEDIA in each project to my computers hard drive before final cut pro will allow me to export any of the projects i create?? This seems like such backward thinking...I dont have nearly enough room on my computers intenal memory to do this with all my video clips!!!

  • Imovie 11 on macbook pro get error message cannot save project changes

imovie 11 on macbook pro get error message cannto save project changes:
Please check the disk to ensure there is enough free space and you have permission to write projects. iMovie will try to save periodically, but your changes will be lost if you quit iMovie before the problem is resolved.  I have 462 GB disc space available.  I don't know about "permission to write projects".

OK - bad luck about that. I hope you weren't too far advanced into your project. Sorry to hear that repairing permissions didn't help.
When working on a long project, it's advisable to duplicate the project from time to time. In Project Library view click on your project then select File>Duplicate Project from iMovie's menu. A number will be appended to the name of the duplicate, otherwise you can rename it. A short-cut is to control-click (or right-click) on the project name, then select Duplicate Project from the pop-up menu. Duplicating doesn't take up much extra space, as the project points to the clips in the Event (or Events) and doesn't contain actual video as such (it's basically a text file which also holds information about your edits, added photos, music, titles and so forth).
Also, it's best to have a backup, such as Time Machine. It gives you peace of mind when things go wrong!

  • Final cut pro x - error exporting "QuickTime Error: -50"

I am trying to export a video and getting an error saying: the share operation master file has failed. QuickTime Error: -50
can someone help me with it please?

One potentially easy fix, right click on Final Cut Pro dot app and Get Info. Check the Prevent App Nap box.

  • Using the final cut pro trial, i can't export?

i downloaded the final cut pro trial a while ago, not activating until recently. i guess before i activated it, after downloading, i had to get switch my glitchy macbook for a new identical one. i don't know if this is the problem, but it could be. i am making a movie in the trial version, and under commands, export is not clickable. so, i used the share option, and tried to share it as a master file... then to an apple product... then tried to share to youtube. all result with the same thing. it'll act as if it's working, but after maybe 30 seconds a little message saying "Share Failed." when i click on details, all it says is "The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 1543 (error -1)." I don't know what that means. Does it mean one of my clips is the glitch? I have no idea what the problem is here. Are you even allowed to export using the trial version anyway? I haven't been able to get a straight answer there either. Thanks!

As Bobbyyco said, you should definitely be able to share from the trial version.
In Preferences>General>Time Display, you can change the to Frames, which makes it easier to locte the slip that includes the frame in the error message.
You could then use a replace edit to substitute something ales in its place. Then use the range tool to select a short section that includes the replaced clip and export as a master file.
If it works, your project should export. (Transcode a new version of the clip by right clicking and use that as the permanent substitute clip.
If it doesn't work, turn off background rendering in Preferences. Select your project and from the File menu, choose Delete Project Render FIles. When prompted choose All Files. Do another test export as a master file without rendering.

  • Error message when exporting to qt, Please Help!!

I am getting file I/O error message when trying to export a 52 minute wedding project to quicktime. I tried different quictime settings, but nothing helps. Please hep me out with this issue it is driving me crazy.
    Thanks

Ok, I have trashed my final cut preferences, I checked and my external hard drive is set to mac osx extended. I ran disk utility, I exported to quicktime movie using current settings with movie self contained checked and I get the error message right away. Then I did it without self contained checked and it goes to 21% and I get the error message. Everytime it says this: File I/O error, that is all it says. What does this mean? What can I do next? I have a deadline for this project. I have alot of memory left on my external hard drive. This has never happened before. Thanks for all your help guys.

  • Final cut pro x wont let me export!!

I keep getting message "quicktime error - 50" everytime i try to export the file.
it loads upto 5%. then stops. and after a few mins. gives me that message "error - 50".
    I tried the following:
    1) deleting Render files and exporting.
    2) copied all clips from my project and into a new project.
    3) used Corrupt file finder - found nothing
    3) used Crash analyzer - it said "delete preferences" - did nothing
    4) tried exporting in different formats - nothing worked
    5) its also on ProRes 422
    6) downloaded new codes ( http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1396 ) from here
Can someone please help me? i googled everything i could and tried everything i can think of .
its Final Cut pro x 10.8

    Hey!
It indicates nothing. literally all it said was "Quicktime error - 50"
as for the BG processes, nothing. It was stick at 5% n not move. just disappear after the Error message.
    HOWEVER,
    the problem is solved.
I went to the project. Clicked on Duplicate > duplicate the files and video clips. (so a complete duplicate with every single file).  >>> Tried Exporting. Worked!!! took almost the whole night, but it worked out!
I don't know how that makes any sense.
    Thanks though

  • Final Cut Pro "improves" my exposure upon export.

I'm using Final Cut Pro 6. I export my entire timeline as a series of stills, which I batch process in Photoshop to apply specific curves. Then I reimport the stills into a timeline.
When I export the timeline, Final Cut takes it upon itself to change the exposure. Is there a way to override this extremely helpful feature?

Thanks for the tip. It didn't help, though.
Interestingly, when I open the exported clip in Final Cut, it looks better than when I open it in QuickTime. Which seems to indicate that the problem is actually in getting the two Apple products to agree on how to display something on an Apple monitor.
    Kind of frustrating.
