Final product of raw material

Hi,
I need to develop a report, when I give a raw material end result must be a final product omitting all other semifinished assemblies.
can anyone guide how to solve this

Hi Krishnan,
Study the report CS15, it is doing what you are expected to do. The only difference is, it reads all levels upto the top parent.
Anyway you can use the FM - > CS_WHERE_USED_MAT to achieve the same. You need to loop back the output to input & this way read all the way upto the top parent.
But a word of caution, if a single raw material is associated with multiple top parents, then you will have to handle this case.
Hope the above helps.

Vivek

  • Product wise raw material consumption

Raw material consumption is not coming correctly product wise (not matched with data extracted through MB51 material consumption report). What will be the possible error?
N.B. Material Ledger is not active but variant configuration is on.

    Hi
MB51 contains total movements list which may include material issued to Production as well as to Cost center/Mat moved from one store to other store and so on. where as RM consumption you may be trying to match with the GL In some of the above transactions only material documents are created and FI docs may or may not be created hence the two may not match.

  • MRP for FG not looking at Raw Material

    HI all,
I'm running MRP for finished goods material against my production plan (created in MD61).   The material has a BOM component but when I run MRP for the FG its not looking at BOM component to consider raw material) availability and thus proposing dates solely based on the Production Plan and not any other requirements.
It simple creates the planned orders based on the production plan entered into MD61.  The dates for the planned orders don't take into consideration that on the suggested Production date there is not enough raw material to actual produce the product.
The Production plan does drive requirements to purchase the raw material but the dates are not neccessarily correct to get product to the warehouse on time for production run.
    FG set up:
    RP Type:                                PD - MRP
Lot Size:                                 EX u2013 Lot-for-lot Order Quantity

    Procurement Type:                   E - In-House Production
    In-house Production:                 1 - days
    Planning Strategy:                   10 u2013 Make-to-stock production
BOM / Raw Material set up:
    RP Type:                                PD - MRP
Lot Size:                                 EX u2013 Lot-for-lot Order Quantity
Availability Check:                   02 u2013 Individual Requirements

Pland Del Time:                         3 - days
GR Process time                       1 - days
Planning Strategy:                   40 u2013 Planning with Final Assembly
How do I get the MRP for the FG to not only create the planned orders from the production plan but also take into consideration raw material availability?   Thanks for your help!!

    VC,
I need to the PlndOrd date for FG to take into consideration raw material availability...otherwise it's pretty useless to the site.
I guess you are unfamiliar with the workings of standard MRP.  MRP in ECC as delivered by SAP will not support this requirement.
There are a couple of assemble to order strategies that may be suitable for you, if all of your RM materials exist in the FGs BOM.  Strat 81 and 82, which are intimately linked to the Sales order ATP check.  These strategies are not compatible with FGs forecasts.
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_06/helpdata/EN/41/19206a45fd11d188ff0000e8322f96/frameset.htm
In SAP ERP, MRP just does not check the availability of components during the MRP run.  The Net Requirements calculation of a component part (which is the closest concept within MRP to an Availability check) takes place ONLY after all parent parts are completely planned, and all parent part planned orders have been already been generated and saved.  In effect, when MRP is running, information is neither gathered nor considered as to what the planning situation will be for the components.
APO has several solutions that, depending upon the detailed requirements, might provide a solution.  A common one is to first run an MRP type heuristic, to create planned orders for all the shortages, and subsequently run a 'Bottom-up' scheduling heuristic to bring supply and demand dates into alignment, based upon pegging information.  ERP does not have this functionality.
Of course, SAP ERP is infinitely modifiable.  If you have enough time and money, you can write custom code that will torture ERP into filling any Business Requirement.

  • Re : Reserved stock of raw material in MMBE

    HI
While doing make-to-stock production the raw material purchasing from vendor is updated in both unrestricted use and reserved use. after finishing production the unrestricted stock is removed but the reserved stock is not removed.
    How to solve this.
    Thanls
    Mani

    Dear,
Reserved stock which is showing in Stock overview or any other stock reports is not the physical stocks. These stocks are created with respect to reservation.
You can't transfer the stock from reserved stock to Unrestricted stock. These reserved stock is just the information availble in Stock overview for the User that this much stock is pending for transfer with respect to reservation. So when you post the stock with respect to reservation then this reserved stock will automatically decreased with that posted stock for the material. You can't transfer that to unrestricted.MB1C will help you in this case with 261 movement.
if set TECO status for your first production order, system will release the reserved stock, it comes to unrestricted stock.
If it is not take place then to run the correction program Go to SE38 give RM06C020 and execute.

  • Report on raw material to wip for a production order

    Hi,
Is there a report which has a list of " issue of raw materials to a production order"?
Or how to know how much raw material is issued to WIP on a production order.
i nee dto have a report which has material cost and material overhead an dtotal.
how to build this report ?
    Thanks,
    Sai.

    Hi Sai,
You can try using MB51, use filter movement type 261. Add a filter for the posting date coverage.
Then proceed. Click on the icon DETAIL LIST.
Then click on the SUBTOTAL, add MATERIAL as a Criteria. The click the column AMOUNT IN LC.
You should see the total issuances to per material.
    I hope this helps.

    Hi Sai,
You can try using MB51, use filter movement type 261.

  • Process to split production order based on the raw material batches

Hi All, below is a business situation which needs some some SAP process to help overcoming this issue.
We are working on process industry, where the core fabric (SFG) are produced from different machines and which are used as raw material in the subsequent process (Coating).  Business wants SAP to generate individual planned orders for Coating when it uses this materials
    e.g
    Current situation.
SFG1  is the component of SFG2
SFG2 is  the component of FG.
When the demand for FG is 100, you get 2 planned orders  SFG1- 100 yd and  SFG2- 100 yds
During production, the Planned order for SFG1 is split for 2 production order  each producing 50 yds each.
    Now I have SFG1 - 50 yds ( Batch A001), and SFG1- 50 yds ( Batch A002).
Now Business wants  SAP to automatically propose 2 order for SFG2, However based on MRP it will  only show 1 planned order of 100 yds required for SFG2 since the demand of FG is 100.
We want to split the planned orders of the higher level to look at lower level stock.
    Any ideas or thought process.
    Regards
    Sarvan

    Sarvan,
You can have MRP propose two lots of SFG2 based upon lot sizing.  For instance, if you always will want SFG2 to have orders of 50 each, then one way to achieve this would be to set the 'maximum lot size' to 50.  MRP1 Tab of the material master.
There are other lotsizing methodologies that may be better suited to your business requirements as well.

  • Batch Traceability for Sugar as raw material during the production process

    Dear Colleague ,
I need your support for a traceability issue in a customer on beverage sector
    See the case below:
Batch Traceability for Sugar as raw material during the production process
In AMSB the batch traceability in some production processes is very difficult, especially in case of sugar where tanks wherein more than one batches of the same material can be mixed. For example, in a single day almost 17-20 batches of the same material can be mixed and as the result is a composition of water and sugar the normal FIFO rule strategy cannot be applied during the component consumption.
The raw material (sugar) is received in tank S5 at different points of time, and its content is transferred to tank B1 for storage purposes as well as for mix the sugar with other material such as water.
At a specific moment the S5 tank contains only a single batch, while the tank B1 contains more than one batch. Tank B1 is used in order to supply the production line and the corresponding material consumption is triggered in backflush as soon as the production activity is declared (production confirmation). Along with the material consumption the batch determination takes place and a complex algorithm is applied: at a very high level, the single batch is consumed depending on its percentage inside the mix of composition and in case the this
percentage is under a threshold level the current batch should be full used in order to avoid that it will exist for ever.
Moreover, the good movement reversal (reversal of material consumption) and its correction lead to a complete new calculation of all the batches consumed after the original movement date/time. This means that the algorithm for batch determination should be reapplied for all the consumptions subsequent to the original movement.
On the other hand it’s not possible to identify the mix of batches at the exit point of silos B1 because the total consumption of the material in the tank will never happen. As long as the tank level decreases it will be filled up from the tank used for receiving of sugar (S5).
As requirement AMSB needs to post the material consumption starting from EWM, this means that EWM should be the master system in this case and the correspondingmovements have to be  transferred to ECC afterwards. This mainly because EWM  should guarantee the business continuity in case the ERP system is not available.
AMSB asked if the scenario depicted has been implemented in some customer, in EWM system or in any other SAP solution.

    Hi ,
At the time of consumption you can put ' * ' aestrix sign in the batch field.
You will get list of batches of that material.select ur batch and consume the quantity.

  • How to create production order for multiple items having common raw materia

    Dear all,
We are running a sheet metal fabrication company at Vadodara Gujrat.
Please guide us how to create single production order for multiple items using single raw material??
For example, We want to produce baby shirt(item code AAA001), shirt with full sleeve(item code AAA002), shirt with half sleeve(item code AAA003),shirt slim fit (item code AAA004),shirt loose fit(item code AAA005) from single raw material say(item code XXX001).
Right now we have to create 5 production order to produce above 5 items of single sales order  in SAP B1 though it is made from single raw material which is foolishness and time consuming too. (Please also note that to produce any finfish good item, raw material required for that item may vary every time in our process.)
Kindly guide us how to solve the problem.
    Thanks.

    Hi Rupesh Gorashiya,
This is possible through MRP for that you have to put Sales Order first and Run MRP Wizard
MRP Wizard Put Multi Production Order as per Item Taking in Sales Order just click it on and execute.

  • Is there a way to develop the same raw file multiple times, each time keeping the final product?

I've been working with my NEF raw files.  When I import one into LR I can start developing it right away, which I've done.  I also know that the modifications aren't made to the raw file but kept in an XMP file.  Since the I'm not actually changing the raw file do you know if there is a way to make a secondary edit of the file?
Here's an example.  Let's say I have a raw file and I want to develop it in color.  Then when I'm all done I want to start over and develop it again and black and white but keep the color one as well.
I know I can undo all the edits I've made but then I lose all that work too.
Is there a way to develop an image twice and keep both final products?  I know copying the raw file and renaming it is one crude way but I have to believe there's a better, easier way.

Yes, you can make a virtual copy at any time.
If you want the virtual copy to be un-edited after you have done some editing to the "non-virtual copy", you could open the "non-virtual copy" in the Develop Module, click on Reset, create the virtual copy, then undo the Reset operation (click on the last real edit in the History Panel)

  • Production order link to raw Material

    Hi
    Experts
We have manual Production order system (NO MRP)
    System works like this
Work order (Manually given to Production) Part name Material Qty and Dispatch date.
    Finish Material A
This contains semi finish material X, Y, Z
X contains Raw material and Scrap Generated
    Y contains X and Scrap
    Z Contains Y and Scrap
    Finish A Contains Z material
Then Production people create the sub semi finish Production order of X before he checks raw material from store and accordingly by calculating he create Production order of X then Production order of Y and Z and then Create Production Order Of Finish Material.
Our problem is that as we create manually Production order the material issued from store we are not able to link with the production order.
As this material is issued to this production order. How to map this?
The other issue is regarding consumables we also want to map this to Production order. Like Coolant used and inserts used on work center how to map?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks & Regards
    Pert

    Hi,
If you are creating production orders with CO08 (With reference to sales order ) then RM tracking can easily be done.
Just need to give sales order number in COOIS report or in table AFPO it will give you all the production orders and RM can be traced till FG.
But if you have MTS then the calculation must be assumption basis .
If the same RM used in same SFG with different production orders then that might be impossible to trace without batch and sales order.
Now you want to trace tool then use PRT
You need to create material as PRT .
Assign that PRT in routing with Usage formula .
So PRT will be copied on production order with routing . When ever you will confirm the operation the usage value of PRT will be updated.

  • Excess Raw Material  issue & FG reciept in Make to order Production

In MTO Scenario I have created sales order for 10EA.After MRP run planned order of 10EA was created.I converted to Production Order.GI of raw material & GR for FG happens during order confirmation. If for that customer during Production physically 11Ea was produced. How i will show that extra FG (1EA) production & raw material booking against the order..

Can you clarify, does it  mean you have consumed raw material for 11 EA FG, or you consumed only equivalent of 10 EA and due to production efficiency increase you gtot 11 EA output.
In any case you can post this as a normal production order output. For additional 1 EA you can add this in Tolerance.

  • Raw material -scrap-against production order

    Hi all,
I withdrawn 10 qty of raw material for production order using mvt type :261. Due to some wrong machine Operation  2 qties of the Raw material is become unusable(scrap).
I want to return this 2 qty of raw material to warehouse.
what is the movement type can i use?
    Please advise me in this....

    Hi Kumar,
    Please make your question clearer.
Have you made a confirmation against a PrdORd? I mean:
    1. confirmed 10 pcs of FGs
    2. withdrawn 10 pcs of raw materials
    3. Later you recognized that 2 pcs of FGs were not good because of the wrong quality of raw material.
In this case you can cancel your confirmation in CO13 (and do it again only for 8 pcs of FGs and scrap the 2 pcs of wrong raw materials) or you can ask for 2 pcs of raw materials from WH and produce the missing 2 pcs of FGs (physically). In this case you can scrap (MB1A 551) the latter 2 pcs of raw materials.
Other option is that after getting 2 pcs of raw material and producing the 2 pcs of finished goods you book an excess consumption in MB1A + MVT 261 + PrdOrd reference. It based on your concept...(in which way you want to handle the scrap).

  • How to Control Finished Product Price based on Raw Material

    Hi Experts,
Our client manufactures Steel Products where basic Raw Material is Steel.
Customer will give annual contract/Sales Order on the rate prevailing on the contract date. But there is clause that if Steel prices increase / decrease by 5% then correspondingly Finished product price will change by 3%.
How can this be mapped in SAP where by based on Raw Material price, Finished product can vary?
    Regards

    Hi Ajay,
Please go through this link. you will get an idea
Price list change according to raw material cost
