Step 1: Download subinacl.msi from the link
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=23418 and install it.
Step 2: Download my modified version of reset.cmd from here and save the file in 'C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits\Tools'.
Step 3: Open Command Prompt and type the following without quotes (hit Enter):
'cd c:\program files\windows resource kits\tools'
Step 4: Now type 'reset.cmd' and hit Enter (without quotes)
You will see the Command Line Tool running for some seconds. The issue should have been fixed and Quicktime should run again.

We have migrated from DEV to PROD env.(11.1.1.1 -> 11.1.1.3). Along problems with bipublisher - there are some strange thingths: we successfully loging using weblogic account into AdminConsole и Enterprise Manager, but in Answers we get an error: invalid username or password.

Are you saying you upgraded both dev and prod from 11.1.1.1 to 11.1.1.3 or that you migrated a dev 11.1.1.1 to a prod 11.1.1.3? What did you migrate?
At a rough guess the BISystemUser password is different in dev and prod (created by system on install) and in your 'migration' you've moved the dev credential across to prod.
If that's the case you need to change the bisystemuser password to something known and update the credential store password.
Another possibility might just be that you need to regenerate the GUIDs:

So there is no love for Vista Users to install Itunes on my pc? Are the People working on a Fix so it can be ran on that OS? i only need Itunes, not Quicktime.

Output type in Purchase Orders, erroring out for some users

We have a custom ouput type for PO, say 'ZZZ'. The problem is we do not get this out put type in the message screen of PO for some users and some time it gets populated for the same users. Please help me in understanding this issue as we are unable to track the things.

Please check the maintenace of the condition record, Check the key combination used. The conditon records are mainatined based on the organisational parmeters & the Vendor data.
Please check the PO's in whcih the message are not coming automatically & check the combination exist or not as condition records.
You can check the condition records using MN05, MN06

Updating to Acrobat Pro 7.1.0 Solution to error 1304 in Vista

I have spent considerable time finding a solution to this problem and thought I'd post a new message with the solution.
Sometimes it is very difficult to find real solutions on this site, and "you must fork out megabucks for a new CSx version because we won't make this one compatible in the update.." is not fair nor acceptable. This is a permissions issue and Acrobat does not have the credentials to access the folder it wants to write to. I have had this same issue and have the solution as follows.
Vista protects you by not letting just any program or installer package do whatever it wants. That's why the user 'SYSTEM' does not have the privilege to change what the install wants to do and therefore you get the error and it kicks you to the curb. What you need to do is activate the ADMINISTRATOR account (which is disabled by default) and assign it a password, change ownership of the Adobe Acrobat 7.0 folder to administrator (it's SYSTEM by default), log on as administrator, let the install complete, then log back on as your normal user and undo the account and ownership manipulations. Note that the ownership ONLY needs to be changed on the Acrobat folder.. I have seen other posts that tell you to change the whole Adobe folder, and an article from the Adobe KB telling you to change it on both the Program Files and ProgramData folders, and neither are necessary, nor do they tell you to undo what you did, leaving your system open and vulnerable to other threats.
Solution Steps:
1. Right click Computer on your desktop or in the start menu, choose Manage, and ok the user account control (UAC) prompt. Computer management opens.
2. Expand Local Users and Groups and click Users. Users are shown on the right. Right click Administrator and choose properties. Uncheck the box "Account is disabled" and click OK. Right click administrator and choose "set password", click proceed. Enter any password (this will be undone when finished) and click OK. A password must be set else you cannot log on. Close computer mgt.
3. Open Computer and browse to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat 7.0. Right click the Acrobat folder and choose properties. Click the security tab, then the advanced button at bottom, in the adv security settings, click the owner tab. You will see the current owner is SYSTEM. Click edit at the bottom and ok the UAC prompt. Click 'other users or groups', then advanced in the next box. Click 'find now', highlight administrator user (not administratorS group) and OK, then OK again. Now the user administrator is listed in the 'change owner to' list. Highlight administrator and click OK, a message about changing ownership will pop up, just ok it. Ok all the property boxes and close Computer browser.
4. Go to the start menu and log off. You will now see your normal users listed with the administrator user also. Click the administrator user and log in with the password. Acrobat will try to finish it's install.. the error 1304 will not occur because you now have access to the location it wants.. the install completes. Log off and log back on as your normal user.
5. To undo your changes, just reverse the steps, changing ownership of the Adobe Acrobat folder back to SYSTEM. The administrator account has no password by default.. to remove the password, just leave the password fields blank and click ok and it will be 'no password'. Then disable the administrator account and everything is back to the way you started, with Acrobat updated and no more error.
Seems long, but not really that bad, I just put in every little step for the tech-unsavvy.

Timesheet error (Only for one user on one task): This Web Part was unable to load

We have a weird problem with Project server 2013.
We are on the latest March CU 2015 update on MS Project and Project server.
Problem:
A resource(user) is being assigned to a task. When opening the Project with the MS Project client, you can see that the resource is effectively assigned.->OK
The real problem is when the user goes to his timesheets. He don’t see this task anymore. Other users that are assigned to the same task can see this task in the Timesheets and can open it.
When the user go back to a timesheet on a period where the task was working and visible, and he open that timesheets, he get an error: “This Web Part was unable to load”

We tried already to republish the whole project with the ‘Save for Sharing’ workaround
without success.

Hi Johan,
The assignment of this user on the given task might be corrupted. Try to remove the resource from the task, publish the project, assign the resource again and publish again the project. If it is not working, try to unpublish the task (column "publish")
and publih it again.

Error 1009 for end-user

Hello,
"It is unlikely that an end-user would ever experience Flash player error 1009" - but I do when trying to look some videos (youtube is no problem, but babelgum.com and videos on flickr don't work, for instance) I used the uninstaller and reinstalled the player, but the problem persists (Mac Os 10.5.8, safari 4.0.3 / firefox 3.5.2)

As far as I now, there is no possibility to differenciate users in a group.
This means that if you can't differenciate users belonging to a group, you will not be able to identify if he is administrator or not of the group. So it will not be possible to assign him a specific role that will allow him to populate users in that group only.
For your information, you can use the role "pcd:portal_content/administrator/user_admin/delegated_user_admin_role" to allow user to :
- create other users
- top grant roles for with they have the "Role Assigment" permissions
- but not to populate groups (what could lead to security problem, ie you can make your self member of Administrators group, and so have the SuperAdmin role)

Configuration Error . . . Error: 6 for other users on Mac

I installed CS 5 Design Premium on my home iMac (as an administrator). Almost all of the different programs either wouldn't launch or would crash right after launch. I found in the forums all the different adobe support files that needed permission corrections and went through and made them all. Now all the programs are fine for me as the administrator. But when I logged out and one of my kids logged in (they have standard accounts), I got a Configuration Error: 16. Again I found that several files needed to have some adjustments to the permissions, which I made. I then tried to launch the different programs and now I'm getting Configuration Error: 6
I'm assuming I need to change some permissions again, but I'm at a loss. I can't find any discussion on this particular problem.

Restart your mac:
Safe Boot: Hold down the shift key after the chime until the Apple logo appears and the gear is moving.
It will take awhile but you will be asked to login.
Go to your Applications folder> Utilities and launch Disk Utility.
In the left side column, highlight your drive and repair permissions.( button down below)
Empty the trash.
Restart your mac.

FIX::: NSURLErrorDomain error -1012 [for Avast users]

If you've been unable to receive updates from the Mac App Store, and getting this particular error (NSURLErrorDomain error -1012), then you can do the following in order to enable your Web Shield again.
1. Open Avast Preferences
2. If Preferences is Locked, click the lock to Unlock
3. Under the Shields tab, select Advanced next to Web Shield
4. Under Exclusions tab, add the following two servers that will prevent Web Shield from denying MAS updates:
swscan.apple.com (https)
swdist.apple.com (https)
Done! Lock the Preferences again.

We have certain SSRS report (which includes subreports) which
many users are able to access, but
some users cannot access- they get this error:
"Unsupported RPL stream version detected: 101.116.1047292257. Expected version: 10.6."
(We are not using SP integrated mode)(using SSRS 2008 R2)
No problem in VS or on server when trying to run this report.
User having this problem has the sam ewindows and explorer versions.

Hello I keep getting this message "Unable to connect to remote PC. Please provide the fully-qualified
name or the IP address of the remove PC, and then try again".
I am not trying to log onto another computer, I am trying to log into my QB Enterprise software hosted by right networks.

2.1 update for Vista users

Decided to wait a day or so until some of the bugs were worked out and glad I did. I just updated to iTunes 8.0 and 2.1. Total download and update took 15 minutes. Everything was smooth
- did not lose any data from Contacts/Email/Recent Calls etc...
- No issues with my pop acct or MSE for work
- before update could not access voicemail via bluetooth. Now I can
- Checked GPS and it acquired my position within 15 seconds and was accurate to roughly 25 feet
- Can't vouch for improved battery life yet
- 3G signal seems to have improved for my Home Office from a consistent 2 bars to 5 bars at the moment. Haven't moved around town yet to see how it switches back and forth to EDGE
- Contacts come up quicker and can now scroll almost instantaneously vs having to wait up to 10 seconds before the update
So far I am very happy. Before I was seriously considering getting rid of the phone and going back to a Blackberry. Now if they will just give me voicedialing via Bluetooth headset I will consider it the perfect phone.

It is. Win7 Ultimate64 is running on it right now, with the Boot Camp 64 drivers from the original boot camp drivers on the macbook CD.

Yes. Use versions function.
After having saved the message categories as different versions, you can assign a version to certain users. This results in the same message appearing as an error message for one user, but as warning for another.
For this purpose, you must assign the parameter ID "MSV" and the version number to the relevant user master records.
