  • Buddy Contact Email List/Group iPod Touch

As far as I can see, when you want to forward an email to everybody on your Buddy List, you have to click one contact, then it goes back to your message, then you have to go back and click another contact and it goes back to your message, etc.
Is there a way to simply click your group Buddy List so they all show up in your iPod Touch's email address when you want to forward a message to your one group of people? Or are we stuck going back and forth, back and forth until we have everybody? I hope somebody has the elusive answer I am hoping for! Thank you! Diane

You need to make sure the Admins have enabled the Exchange ActiveSync protocol on the Exchange Server. That is how the Touch communicates with the Server.

  • How do I create a Group email list from my contacts??

I can't figure out how to create a Group email list from my contacts on my iPhone??

I thought that was how I did it before ( a year ago ) but the group is created in my Email software but the group won't synch to my phone?! However it will synch randomly - i.e. singular new emails synch from my phone to my computer, but I am not noticing the computer transferring data to my phone...same with calendar...hmmm, maybe that's the problem - issue synching anything entered into my computer first...anyone hear of this? It seems that this started about a month ago, I had to restore my phone and it would not restore with the most recent backup, so I had to go back a couple of back ups... since it has been glitchy! HELP!

  • Emailing a Contacts Smart List

I want to send an email to all members of a Contacts Smart List called 'GutbrodList (Glist)'.
I have right clicked the Smart List Name and selected 'Send Email to GutbrodList (Glist)'.
It opens a new email with Glist <GutbrodList> in the To: field
But when I try to send it Mail does not recognise it as a valid email address.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks
    RPJ

    You can't.
Obviously the same mechanism is used as in Mail. I can't put more than about 25 conditions in the rules for Junk mail. It's the same problem. There is no scroll function unfortunately.
The workaround in iTunes is to make several smart playlists (someone called them building blocks) and combine them in another smart playlist.

  • I am trying to send a friend a group email list from Contact.  When it arrives there is only one contact in it.  There should be 30!  Any ideas?

I am trying to send a friend a group email list from Contact.  When it arrives there is only one contact in it.  There should be 30!  Any ideas?

The procedure for exporting a group is to right-click (or Control-click) on the group in Contacts and select Export Group vCard, then email the resulting file to your friend. Is that what you're doing? If not, give that a try.  You can confirm the contents of the file by doing a Quick Look on the file.
    Hope this helps.

  • TS4002 How do I send email to a Contacts Group list?

How do I send email to a Contacts Group list?

Thank you for your quick reply. I've had a MAC for several years but never used this option. (We are all infants when doing something for the first time. A recent TBI has also stunted my figure-it-out-yourself ability.) I appreciate your help. (PS I want to indicate this solved my question, but I can't see where to do that!)

  • I have one apple ID for multiple devices in my family.  I'd like to keep it that way for itunes/app purchases.  I would like a simple step 1, step 2, step 3 response on what I need to do to separate all other features like imessage, contacts, emails, etc.

I have one apple ID for multiple devices in my family.  I'd like to keep it that way for itunes/app purchases.  I would like a simple step 1, step 2, step 3 response on what I need to do to separate all other features like imessage, contacts, emails, etc.
I have been reasearching how to do this on the internet, but I haven't found an easy explanation yet.  My family is going crazy over each others imessages being sent to others in the family and not being able to use FaceTime because of conflicting email addresses.  I have read that if each person gets their own iCloud account, this would work.  However, I need to know what to do after I set everyone up with their own iCloud account.  Do I make that the default email address to be contacted or can they still use their hotmail email addresses.  Any help- with easy explanation- would be much appreciated!!

We do this in my family now.  We have one account for purchases, so it is used to share music and apps (I think that is in Settings/iTunes & App Stores).  Each iDevice has this configured.
Then, each of us has our own iCloud account that is configured under Settings/iCloud.  That then allows us to have our own Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Reminders/Safari Bookmarks/Notes/Passbook/Photo Stream/Documents & Data/Find My iPhone/and Backup.  That Backup piece is pretty sweet and comes in handly if you replace your iDevice.  You can just restore from it.
So we all share the Apple Store account but we all have our own iCloud accounts to keep the rest seperate or things like you mentioned are a nightmare.
In answer to what iCloud does for you: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/
Think of it as an internet based ("cloud") area for all of those items listed in my response.  What you need to remember is photo stream only maintans the last 1000 pictures so don't count it as a complete backup solution for your pictures.  Even though I rarely sync with a computer these days, I do still try to sync my phone with iPhoto (I have an iMac) so that I have copies of all of my pictures.  1000 may not stretch as far as it sounds.

  • Is there a way to create a group email list?

I am trying to set up a group email list so I don't need to restyle addresses every time.  Easy to do in Outlook but how do I do it on my IPad?

Unfortunately, that isn't possible in the iPad mail app or the contacts app. You cannot create groups or email to groups.
There are third party apps that will allow you to do that. I believe that MailShot and Group Email with Attachments will both let you create groups and mail to them. You can check them out in the App Store.

  • How do I increase the number of characters in the Contact Email?

When adding a contact email to a folder I am limited to only 30 characters! This is most frustrating because once you have added the email address of the company this only allows you to have a name of less than 15 characters long!!!!
How I can change the default email from 30 to 50 characters long please?

    Thanks Jerry

  • How do I jump to the top of the email list on an iPad?

On the iPhone I can tap the status bar to jump to the top of the list of my unified inbox. But on the iPad that doesn't work. Tapping the center or right of the status bar in iPad email does nothing, tapping on the left side near the Wi-Fi symbol reveals my list of mailboxes. I have to manually swipe and swipe and swipe and swipe to get to the top of my email list. Is there no shortcut?
Having the scrollbar showing position on the list disappear isn't helpful either.

I found the sweet spot mid- way between Inbox and Edit at the very top of the screen. I checked both the iPhone and iPad User Guides and couldn't find any mention of it. Thanks for the tip.

  • Group Email List

How do I create a group email list on my Blackberry Tablet?  Iggy

to send a group email in Mail, create a group in AB, and add all the contacts you would like to send a group mail to. If some contacts have more than one email address, then select the group you created and go to AB>edit>edit distribution list.. and then select the email you would like to send with for each contact in that address book.
Then go to Mail create a new email, and select the name of the group.
    hope this helps

  • How do I add a contacts email address

How Di I add contacts email addresses ?

If you insist on using a mailing list for something it is not designed for I guess the answer is yes.
Address books are for contacts and provide for contacts without email addresses. As stated earlier, mailing lists are for creating groups for sending group emails. In order for a contact to be on a mailing list they have to exist in the address book you are creating the list in.
A better solution if you are trying to create categories of contacts is create a new address book.
