Financial Funds Control Exception

Funds has been enabled in the BCS. The client does not want it to be immediately
control of funds, continue only financial item and financial center.
Execção actualize the rule for funds, but it happens that the Center and
Financial item that would check the budget not only would check if the BOTTOM
There is value to be spent.
Any help and very welcome.

Superior fund centre is an entity within hierarchy object for fund centres. You can use it in reporting and budget address definitions.
Regarding your second question, you should define different budget lines for the procurement and consumption and create a derivation rule according to your business requirements in order to derive the right FM objects for every process.

Access control exception only on Linux/Debian not on Windows!?

We have a rmi server application with a webstart rmi swing client that we have been running successfully on Windows. The client is downloaded and running without any problems on Windows platforms (W2003, Win2K, WinXP). The client webstart jar is signed and all permissions is set in the jnlp file.
As soon as we setup a server on linux/debian sarge we get these access control exceptions when the server tries to send events back to the client. It complains on
file permssions not being set on the server jar file and the strange thing is that the path separator is backslash on linux?
I've tried the following:
1) java.policy. Added All permssions to the server jar file and/or bin the folder.
2) Running without any security manager, i.e., System.setSecurityManager(null)
3) Explicitly setting the policy on the server. Policy.setPolicy(...)
4) Explicitly setting a policy on the client. URL policyUrl = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResource("server.policy");
5) Building the server and client on debian
I'm at my wits end... I've searched these forums and it seems that this is might be a common problem but I've not found a solution yet.
Our system works 100% on Windows without any problems, it's only on linux/debian that we get these access control problems.

I have two suggestions. The first is that you didn't indicate the permissions of the file and the directories above it along with the user you're running the program as. In Unix it is easier to get an access issue as you're probably not running as root. In a traditional Windows environment everything runs with admin permission allowing access to anything. While the error comes from the security manager it has nothing to do with traditional J2SE security - it may be an O/S level thing.
But the second suggestion touches on the other question you have - why is this showing up as backslashes? Is there perhaps an issue with the JNLP file? Is there any code that should be using System.getProperty( "file.separator") and is instead just using the backslash?

Permission Control Exception

This error says com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Access is denied: com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.logviewer.default - user: Guest
This means your user with which you are doing this does not have enough permissions, try the same using Admin user. Does your webservice needs authentication? if yes then check the credentials as well.

I dont want to handle it in the procedure itself because I am controlling all exceptions or errors in the database from java to make rollback or whatever
Can you help me in the others questions? In my opinion this is not the right way to handle database exception. Database exception should be handled in database itself not in java. Oracle will rollback the transaction autometically if any statement fails(exception) and you will not have to put extra efforts(java code) to control the exception. If you wish you can explain your business requirement we may suggest something easier/better.

It should also driven by your business need. COMMIT will make the changes permanent into the database so whenever you want to commit you can. All the DDLs (CREATE, DROP table etc) are having implicit (auto) COMMIT.

Catching Database Control Exceptions...

I would like to catch exceptions generated when the database control loses connection to its data source.
At the moment, the database control is part of a java control, which in turn is exposed as a web service. When the connection to the database (on a different server) is disconnected during use, a SOAP Fault is returned to the clients when further calls are made.
The plan is to catch these non-descript errors and exceptions so that I can return a custom SOAP message that is not necessarily a Fault.
Any ideas?

How can we open a new instance of Firefox without URL bar and any other control (except PREV, NEXT and RELOAD)?

I am looking for a solution for Firefox Win App and Mobile Apps where on click of a button from the website page, we should be able to launch a new instance of firefox instance (like a popup box) with following features:
a. It SHOULD NOT have any URL bar to display.
b. It SHOULD NOT show any plug-ins or any other functionality except Previous, Next and Reload.
c. This instance of firefox should always be on-top of all other application.

You would need your visitors to install some kind of add-on, since web pages do not have permission to block the display of the page address and users do not need to allow a new window to be modal and block other Firefox windows, much less other OS windows.
Over the years, people have developed extensions for kiosk-style displays. You could investigate those for ideas.

Financial document Control over DO Is missing.

Scenario
u2022 The financial document is created and assigned to the sales order at line item. The total value of the financial document is less than the total value of the sales order at line item. The system should restrict user to make the delivery order of quantity of value less than or equal to the value of the Financial document.
please guide me to attain above mentioned Case. Because in the present case the system is letting me to deliver the items more than the value of financial document. However the payment procedure at customer master data is financial document and it is also pulled at sales order.

I am the author of the document for the 1st screenshot. I am trying to replicate what my former co-worker did in the 2nd screenshot (which is a completely separate document). My boss likes the "lock document" feature and wants each form locked when it is signed.
I've heard about seed values, but i don't know anything about them specifically. The properties of the digital signature field are the same in the two documents, there is no script in either one, yet the difference remains. Do you have any resources I could read about for modifying seed values to mandate the lock document option?

I got it. Thanx a lot for ur co -operation.
The summary is that we dont need to specify any security manager
or code base at server side.
at client side we'll provide the security manager and codepase property
like
System.setProperty("java.security.policy","C:/myrmi.policy");
System.setProperty("java.rmi.server.codebase", "http://192.168.0.11:8080/rmiclientclasses/");
but the restriction( or drawback) is that we can only specify the url of http server.
the policy file is like this --->
grant
permission java.net.SocketPermission "*:1024-65535","connect,accept,listen,resolve";
permission java.security.AllPermission;

Webutil in Forms: Access Control Exception

I have a forms application (Developed using DS10g 9.0.4 on Windows) deployed on a Linux Application Server (10g 9.0.4).
I am trying to incorporate webutil into my application.
I believe I have configured webutil (release 1.0.5) correctly and have signed the jacob.jar and webutil.jar files and placed them on the AS box as per the release notes.
On opening the form which uses webutil I get the following error:

This to me is indicative of something not being right with the signing process. I have confirmed that both files were signed (using 'jarsigner -verify').
I have also tried re-signing the f90all.jar file (is this still required, or has the feature present in earlier versions of forms relating to multiple signing identities now been fixed)?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just tried this again (after a gap of about a week), and it works fine.
The only thing I can think of is that somewhere old versions of the jar files (unsigned) were being cached, probably on the application server (I had tried clearing out the cache on the client previously).

I noticed that the compiler and runtime were of two different versions:

Access Control Exception

i have an applet which prints an image file to printer. When i clicked on print i am getting the following exception ...i set grant all permissions also..but getting the same error ....

Access the files through the class getResourceAsStream function or sign your app using the documention in the javafx deployment guide or at the net beans site.

Funds check on Purchase Order creation

Hello all,
When attempting to do funds check for Purchase Order the following error occurs.
ERROR
Procedure PSA_BC_XLA_PUB.Budgetary_Control returns an error without any details to the calling procedure PO_ENCUMBRANCE_POSTPROCESSING.execute_gl_call.Please contact your support representative.
For this issue i did below steps:
1. Navigate to System Administrator Responsibility > System > Profiles
2. Set the profile option "PSA: R12 Upgrade Date" with the date format as mentioned below:
MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS
I changed like this 04/01/2011 02:32:37
close and reopen the applicaiton. still its giving the same error.
Please guide me to resolve this issue.
