I was designing a report on Financial Reporting Studio, but dimensions from pages are shown separates by commas in only one combo box. What I need is to have one combo box per each dimension.

Need 3 pages from a report of 1 page at every run

Hi Friends,
I have developed a report which is an Invoice. Every invoice will be 1 page only. Now what i need is when ever the user will run the report, the report will give 3 pages (same page 2 & 3,i.e. copy of page 1) as a set of invoices, with the headings as:
Page 1: Original for buyer
Page 2: Original for consignee
Page 3: Self Copy
I also want to display these messages page-wise on the report.
Now, The problem is how can I get 3 pages from a report of 1 page everytime.

How to Print the Report Column headers on each page of any report

Can someone offer assistance on how I can go about achieving the ability to show and print the Report Column headers on each page of any report using the Print Attributes of APEX 3.0? These reports will be printed using Excel and Word.
I read a thread with a similar request but the answer seems vague for my level of understanding.
I am connected to a print server and using BI Publisher.

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do. You are using a very powerful tool – BI Publisher – why do you need Excel or Word for printing? Is there a special need only Excel or Word can provide?
One of the major advantages of using BI Publisher is that it's taking care of all these tedious tasks like reasonable page breaking, headers and footers, and also table headers.

Open Pages from Discoverer Report

Hi,
Is there a way to invoke a webpage or even better, an oracle function (that links to forms or self-service) from a discoverer report row ?
for example, I want a report for employees where the person looking at the report will click on the employee name and is taken straight to the person details page for that employee.

You can create a link to a form function using fnd_run_function.get_run_function_url. You can create a calculation either in a view or using a calculated item in the EUL (you will have to map the get_run_function_url in the EUL to do this). You then set the content type property of the EUL item to FILE so that when the item is selected in the workbook it appears as a hyperlink.
Most forms in apps except parameters so that you can pass the employee id to the form and the form will open up with the employee record. For example, if you are using a seed HR person form you create a calculation,

How to go back to the parent report to a particular page from Child report in SSRS

Hi,
I am utilizing the Drill through functionality in one of my SSRS Report.
My Parent Report contains 5 pages. From 1st page I am selecting a link which goes to my Child report.
Here from my child report I want to provide a link to go back to my parent report's and it should render 3rd (it should show 3rd) page in parent report.
How to specify this ? Give your inputs as soon as possible.

Hi Sridhar,
After testing the issue in my environment, we can refer to the steps below to achieve your requirement.
Right-click a report item to open the properties dialog in Child report, click Action in the left pane.
Enable Go to URL action, the URL below is for your reference:
="http://server_name/ReportServer?/folder_name/parent_report_name&rc:Section=3”
When you click the textbox in the Child report, it jumps to the Parent report in the third page.

Passing parameter to group of portlets on a page from 1 report

Hello Forum,
Portal 3.0.7
I have a page (page 2) that contains three portlets, each is a single report (Reports b, c, and d). They all query based upon the same parameter value. I have a different page (page 1) that contains a report (report a). I want to setup a link in report a that calls page 2, passes the parameter value to reports b,c,and d. With the reports b,c, and d reporting based upon the parameter value.
Does anyone have any ides on how to do this? I have been successful in the past using forms based upon procedures to share a parameter amounts several portlets on a single page. But I have no idea how to call a page, pass the parameter and refresh the page in one step.

You should concatenate to the url of the page wich contains the three forms with somthing that is near to the following :
'&parameter_name='||parameter_value
as many times as you have parameters in the portlets on the page.
then you should call the new url

How can I print some pages from multipage report

I have created a multipage report in word. I would like the user to be able to print the pages selected (as in word printing: pages: 1, 2-3);
I am using Office 2007 pro, the LabVIEW Report Gen Toolkit, LabVIEW 2009, and Windows XP.
I used the suggestion in thread:

first of all I put two integer constants on "From" and "To" in the Invoke node (PrintOut), but Labview return an error:
Error 1015 occurred at NI_ReportGenerationToolkit.lvlib:Word_Print.vi -> NI_Word.lvclassrint Report.vi -> print2.vi
Then I searched for PrintOut Method in word 2007 Reference guide, and I saw that for using From and To the Range field must have the string wdPrintFromTo;
I insert wdPrintFromTo string in RANGE Field and tryed.... same error......
After that I change approach; removed all constants and used the field Pages; I put a string "1-2" connected to this field and now the printer respond, but all pages was printed!
What's wrong?

ok, I try first approach in print4.vi, but Labview return an error (view jpg); if I cut From, To controls, the VI print all pages. The same things happen also if I trasform I32 in Variant.
I don't try second approach, because at this time I have only one report
I try also with VB macro: this is better (print3.vi) but.....if I use:

ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.PrintOut Range:=wdPrintFromTo, From:="2", To:="3"

is ok; print the pages selected; if I use:

Create a link to a page from a report query

version Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
I have done this 10s of times but for some reason its not working this time.
I am creating a link in a report sql query region. When the user clicks on one of the rows in the sql rpt region, it will take them to the page where they can edit the record selected. I select edit the report attribute in the report region, then select the column that will display as the link. It is the column that is the pk(app_id).
I go to the column link section. I enter the target page(8), select what icon to display, enter the item name that is the target for a value in page 8(P8_APP_ID).
And finally I enter the value that will be copied to P8_APP_ID. That is I enter #APP_ID#(row item from source page). I then run the page and click a row in the rept region(page 6). HOwever I get an error of ORA-01403: no data found. I look at what value was copied into the targe page item and its not what I expected.
I go back and verify I set up the link correctly but this is what I see for the page item and value to link to and copy its value.
Instead of P8_APP_ID and #APP_ID# as I entered, the #APP_ID# is getting changed to &APP_ID. I can't figure out why this is happening!!! Every time I enter
#APP_ID#, APEX is changing it to &APP_ID.
Any ideas folks?

It doesn't sound like a good idea to me to use your own APP_ID. APP_ID is already the application ID of the current application.
Give app_id in your query an alias and see if that works.

How to remove blank pages from WebI Report in view page layout option

Hi,
I am working in Business Objects XIR2 environment. I have a WebI report with several sections. I need to show the report as a book with 69 sections (each section on new page). there are 69 sections on cost center and each cost center section has almost 10 sections embedded in it. When i see in regular view - I only see 69 pages but when I try to see in "View Page Lay out" option, there is one blank page added after each results page.
Please let me know how to remove this blank page. I need to give users the option to download the book as PDF on to their machine. Now, when I download to my machine, I see one blank page after each results page.

Jus convert your report in Page Layout mode and see if your first pafe is getting expand in the second page.
Now check if there are any cell going into second page.
- if there are any blank cell which is there after table.
you have to check formating very carefull.

Crystal report is printing one blank page with every report print

I have A/R invoice report in crystal report and sometime it has 3 pages out of which 2 are blank and sometime there are 2 pages out of which 1 is blank except page header, first page is sufficient for all my A/R invoice stuff rest are blank pages except page header at top of the page and ya i have one subreport at page footer.
please throw some light on this.

Individual report path with defined file name from the report settings in Testsand 2012

Hi,
I have following task:
I want to test stand 2012 in each sequence to change the path of the report file. But the naming of the file is to be maintained as these settings can be made from TestStand into the report (DisplayName + _Report_ [<FileDate>] [<FileTime>] <unique>. <File Extension). I can not find now, however, the / callback parameter on which the components are assembled path and file in TestStand.
While I can read about the callback "GetReportFilePath" the path and file name, and with the expression: Parameters.ReportFilePath = "c: \ \ electro \ \ SHARE \ \ test protocols \ \ Test Logs \ \" change the path, but the file name will no longer be formed from the settings of TestStand.
I have the suspicion that I'm just not accreting at the right place. Can someone please give me a hint?

Crystal Reports 2008 crash when Select Page or Print Report

Hy,
I Have Crystal Reports 2008 on Windows Vista. When I select page or I print reports, Crystal Reports crash. I tried to uninstall Crystal 8.5 and Crystal XI that I was on the same computer and manually removed all entry in Registry. After this I reinstalled Crystall 2008 but the problem was not resolved.
So I tracked the dll called by CRW32.EXE and I found that the problem was on a DLL of Microsoft Office OneNote. I uninstall the Microsoft Office OneNote printer that Office Installation Program created for OneNote and now all work fine. I hope that this can help other people that have the same problem.

This is actually a known issue with CR 2008 when a printer driver is missing at least one file. Our developers are aware of the issue and are planning to release a fix soon.

How to change report displayname at runtime when run from the report server?

with the reportviewer widget in a winforms app, i'm able to change report displayname at runtime by handling thesubmittingparametervalues event like so:

According to your description, you want to change the display name of report in Report Manager. Right?
In Reporting Services, we can't make the report file name dynamically. But we have Build-in Fields to show report name and execution time in a report. We can add a textbox and put in the expression below:
="Load on- "+Globals!ReportName+" "+Globals!ExecutionTime
It will show the report name with execution time when we run the report:

Link from Report to Form in a Page

1. I have created a page in the Page Groups. I have five tabs on this page. Under a tab I have one Report added as a Portlet. This Report has a LINK to a From. When I click on the LINK the Form opens, but not in the Portlet area. Is it possible to have a Form open in the Portlet area (replacing the Report)?
2. I get the following error when trying to add one particular Report as a Portlet in a page:
An unexpected error has occurred in pages: wwpob_api_page.add_portlet (WWC-44847)
An unexpected error has occurred in portlet instances: wwpob_api_portlet_inst.create_inst (WWC-44846)
Do anyone have any ideas?
