"find a location nearest you" website application

I would like to incorporate a "find a location nearest you"
application on my site. What shelf product would there be providing
the tools I need to develop such an application? I understand there
would be a need for hand coding as well.

Something like this?
http://www.firepit.com/pricing.asp
I did that in ASP a number of years ago but it works well and
incorporates a
database of zips and longitude and latitude (available from
the Post Office)
and ASP scripting that I found online and customized. I did
this in about
1999 so my memory is vague, but I have given the code to a
ton of people.
Would you like it? I have a zip file with the files ready to
go and be
customized.

How can I find history from a specific website (such as: time spent on that website and things of that nature) on my MacBook Pro?  I would also like to see if I can get a detailed history for other things done on the computer, such as: Date & Time Spent running a specific application, etc.

    Not so much.

  • How to find out locations whether it is in use or not in use

    Hi All,
I want to delete all unused locations from my FDM application. Can you please help me, how to find the locations that are not in use?
    Regards,
    PB

You can view the tdataseg(x) table that the location is associated with and sort by period key as needed.
    Select PartitionKey,Part Name,Partsegmentkey
    from tpovpartiton
This will return the location, location id and segment key.  The segment key is the data segment that the location is associated with.
You can then query this table and sorty by period key to see what periods the location has data imported for.
This should give you an idea and you can then delete your locations from within the Metadata > Locations Menu in FDM.
Keep in mind that once the location is deleted, and data associated with the location will also be deleted (Historical Data)
    Hope that answers your question.

  • Time Machine cannot find a location to put backups??

Hi, so I tried setting up Time Machine because I accidently deleted very important files and have tried all the applications to recover them, but none of them have worked! I am very frustrated because everytime I open Time Machine, it brings up this message:
So of course, I click Set Up Time Machine. But then when I turn it on and and try to select a location it brings me to this:
NO Locations!!! As you can see this is very frustrating... and I would please like some answers to find a location, because no matter what I try, nothing comes up! Thank you for your time, and please answer!

    Hi!
    Check your user manual!!!
On chapter 2-3 I could find the following information:
+The computer provides a SIM card slot on right side, which allows you to install an additional SIM card. *(Provided with some models)*+
So that means if there is no SIM card slot you dont have this option on the notebook.
    Thats all about this!
    Bye

  • Can't find the location of an installation

Hi. This is my first time here, so I don't know if i am posting in he right category, but I hope that someone will be able to help me anyway as it will be appreciated greatly. So I have a following problem to solve:
I have installed an adobe Photoshop cs4 extended on my mac. When asked which location I would prefer to install it on I chose users/guest/desktop. After it was installed i wasn't able to find it there. Spotlight doesn't bring any results back either, where as when i try to install it again it just says that it adobe is already installed on this computer. I would like some help with finding that software.

Following steps copied from Abode site:
Note: Your system may not contain all of the files and folders listed in this document. If you do not find a listed file or folder on your system, then you should proceed to the next file or folder on the list.
    Deactivate
Before you remove an application, you must deactivate it.
To deactivate Photoshop CS3, choose Help > Deactivate, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Remove Photoshop CS3 public beta using the uninstaller
The uninstaller is designed to remove everything installed by Photoshop CS3. When you start Photoshop CS3 for the first time, or when you modify the preferences, new folders and files may be created. To ensure the complete removal of all additional folders and files, proceed to "Remove remaining folders and files for Photoshop CS3 public beta" below after you use the uninstaller.
    To use the uninstaller:
    Go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
Double click Add Or Remove Adobe Photoshop CS3.
Authenticate with your user name and password.
Select Remove Adobe Photoshop CS3 Components, and click Next.
    Follow the on-screen instructions.
Hopefully .you can now return to you proper account where you can reinstall in the correct place.
That will be in the Applications folder (There are two either the global applications folder or you own applications folder within your home folder!
Right to get back to your normal account.
Click on the apple and choose log out.
A sheet will roll down stating that all folders and files will be deleted. Click okay
You will now be returned to the standard log in scree.
Choose you normal account name and enter password to return to you normal desktop.
Next to re-hide the guest account.

  • Opera has magically installed itself yet I can't find its' location

    Hi all,
About half an hour ago I tried opening a .torrent file only to have Opera pop up. Now this is curious as I never installed Opera and yet somehow the browser became the default application for torrent files. Not only that, but apparently I have both Opera 9.27 and 9.00 installed. This didn't happen last night when I last opened a torrent file which leads me to believe its a new installation.
I tried using spotlight to find opera and no luck. So I used Find to locate the app. Again, no luck. So I set Find's search parameters to show all applications on my mac. Still Opera is no where to be found, neither 9.27 nor 9.00. It is definitely installed as Opera opened and loaded webpages just fine but the only way to open opera is to right click a torrent file and select it. ***?
Earlier today I downloaded Temperature Monitor (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/19994) and installed it. Nowhere do I see Opera is even mentioned and I haven't downloaded anything else. However, I cannot think of any other way Opera would have ended up on my system.
So... since neither spotlight nor Find can locate Opera, how to I find it? I've located all the Lib files associated with Opera but not the actual application. This really bothers me as it indicates to there possibly being other applications installed that I am not aware of. Has anyone else run into something similar, whether with opera or another piece of software?
    Thanks in advance.

Many Adobe applications, such as Photoshop Elements, have a copy of Opera built in as a help viewer. You won't find it in an ordinary search because it is inside the application bundle (e.g., inside Photoshop).
This explanation solved a head-scratching mystery for me as well, since when I right-clicked an image file and looked at the "Open with..." possibilities, I was seeing multiple versions of Opera, but a Finder search would only reveal the location of one of them.
But it also raises a puzzling question:
If the "Open With..." contextual menu can see files which are contained inside Package bundles, and the Dock's "Show In Finder" function can do the same, WHY can't those same files be seen by a either a Spotlight search or a conventional top-right-corner-of-any-Finder-window search?
Seems strangely inconsistent, since these different functions are all part of the same OS -- or is there some obvious reason for this that I'm missing?

  • In Mountain Lion, how do I find the location of an open Preview File?  The file "properties" tab is no longer available.

I typically have several open Preview files at any one time and often forget where, sometimes if, I saved them.  In Mountain Lion, how do I find the location of an open Preview File?  Tried holding option + command in spotlight but I don't see a path name appear anywhere.

Yes, cmd-option on a file you choose in Spotlight and the path will appear at the bottom of the Preview window.
EDIT: Also, if it is bookmarked the path is in Bookmarks.

Every time I ask Siri to find something near me, she says that she cannot find my location because I need to turn on location services in the settings menu and in siri. These are both on, and after rebooting my phone it still doesn't work correctly. How do I fix this?

No, the app does not have to completely restart. It gets shifted in its open state into storage. Similar to how a computer uses the hard disk when it has insufficient memory.
What complicates things is that sometimes memory does not get returned for reuse when you close an app. Thus yo should periodically double click the Home button and "delete" unnecessary apps from the multitasking dock and power off and then back on the iPod.

  • How can I find the location of an app on my iPad 2?

How can I find the location of an app on my iPad 2? The app comes up with a search, but that seems to be the only way to find it. I just installed the app today, but I can't figure out where it is. It has a pretty distinctive icon, and I've looked through all of my apps and even in folders (even though I don't know how it would have gotten there). I want to put it in an appropriate folder under the right subject, but I can't find it to do this. I can use the app, since I can find it through a search though. I have a lot of apps, but I looked very carefully and can't find it. Is there a way to ask my iPad to locate it for me? It's a $25 app and one I plan to use regularly, so I want it located in the folder of my choice. This problem makes we wonder if I have other "missing" apps, apps that I could  find if I happened to think to search for them, but that don't appear to be on my iPad (even though they actually  are).

You were right about the homescreens. I had turned my iPad off for the night with less than three full homescreens of loose apps, those not in folders. When I turned the iPad on this morning to try your suggestions, I had five full pages of loose apps. They just appeared when I restarted, and there was the app I was looking for, easy to find. Last night I was deleting apps I decided I wouldn't use, organizing useful apps into folders, and making sure I had as few pages as needed by making sure the gaps made by the moved/deleted apps were closed. The missing apps didn't show up at that point; I was just left with fewer than 11 pages. The apps only showed up when I restarted this morning. There were almost three extra pages of apps that weren't there last night. I know there must be other things missing, since all of the pages are full. So I tried your suggestion in iTunes. I connected my iPad, found an app in the alphabetical list on the left, and double clicked it. This brought me to the app's homescreen (and its home folder when applicable), the place where it was located. In order to identify which page that was, I had to scroll through the screen shots of the homescreens that was below the homescreen that was showing until I found the homescreen whose number was in white. Then I could count the pages on my iPad until I got to that page. I'll have to delete more apps and organize more into folders to see what else might show up. There are just too many apps available for special education, and I'm in the process of figuring out which are the best for my needs. Thanks so much!

  • How do I use Spotlight to find the location of a document?

Spotlight used to show the location of document when I hovered the mouse over an item in its list. It no longer does this. Now it tells me that a document exists and allows me to open the document, but doesn't tell me where to find the document. How do I use Spotlight to find the location of a document?

    Hi Thomas ...
Open System Preferences > Spotlight then select the Search Results tab.
Select the all the categories for the search results you want.
    Restart your Mac.
If that didn't help the Spotlight preferences may be corrupted.
    Go to ~/LIbrary/Preferences
Move the com.apple.spotlight.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
    Try Spotlight.

  • How to find out the PID, if the application's name is given?

    Hi,
I know this has been discussed before. But I could not find an answer. So, I'm putting it again.
How can I find out the PID of an application, given the name of the application, on any OS?
    Regards.

Call some operating system command via Runtime.exec.
For example, in Unix you can start ps -ef (or ps -ax, depending on the Unix flavor), grep the app, and parse the pid number.
In Windows 2000/XP/2003 you can get the ps.vbs from the Resource Kit (a VBScript program that calls the WBEM interface to ask it for process information), modify it for fulfilling your needs, and call cscript ps.vbs.

    Hi All,
I am getting below error while installing companions "10203_vista_w2k8_x86_production_companion.zip" (32-bit) (HTTP server) on Windows 2008 sp2 64-bit machine.

Can you please suggest what additional things I need to take care to install companions using response file?

Thanks Werner for reply !! I was really looking for any reply of my thread.
I think it is useless to mention because something I did which is not supported,
    1. I installed "10204_vista_w2k8_x64_production_db.zip" database on w2k8 sp2 (64-bit) machine which is supported DB version for w2k8 environment.
    2. Companions are available for w2k8 64 bit but HTTP server is not there. It is only available in "10203_vista_w2k8_x86_production_companion.zip". This is a x86 (32-bit) setup and while doing interactive mode installation it is passing all prereq checks on x64 and not showing me any information to not to use this setup for x64. Also, it works fine after installation but not working in command-line installation.
    One last question,
Will Oracle provide support on fixing this issue if I contact them or raise SR ?

Reminders is automatically installed with 10.8 or above. A new Mac should have 10.9; it's possible that, with a third-party vendor, you have an earlier OS. Check under the Apple menu in the top left and click About This Mac. That will tell you what version of OS X you have.
