Find a virus in email
I imported old outlook email into Thunderbird. My inbox started receiving lots of rejected email notices, some that say rejected due to virus.
I'm thinking an old email may have a virus in it, but I don't know how to track down which one. I can't scan the emails in Thunderbird. I've since changed my passwords so that Thunderbird can't connect and slowly the rejected email notices stopped.

Apple Mail cannot find replies or forwarded emails -- the little arrows on the left of the list of emails: "Mail was unable to find your reply to the message '[subject of message]'. You may have deleted the message." I did not delete the message. Bug in the program, or am I missing something?
Of course they're in my Sent folder. Then why can't Apple Mail find them?

It got past your virus protection because your virus protection is garbage. Uninstall it.
And, there are no OS X viruses. Malware yes, but no viruses. You downloaded and installed the Trojan by choice. Trojans trick people into installing.

EDIT: Oops, duplication. I see Babowa has already given the link.
Stay far away from Norton. It has a bad history of wrecking Macs. If you want to run anything, get ClamXav or Sophos Home Edition, free. Never run Sophos after the first scan except in "On Demand" mode. Both free.

I got all the way to the settings to find my printer's email address and it says it's not connected
officejet 6500A - Windows Vista I think - setting up my EPrint and tried to find my printer's email address and it says "the printer was unable to cnnect to the server"
Hello cstace22,
I would try power cycling the printer to start with resolving your connection issue. While the printer is still on, unplug the power cord from the printer, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Once plugged back in the printer should power on automatically.
If you are still experiencing issues after this has been done then you may want to try restoring your network defaults and then reconnecting to your wireless network.

Unable to sync apps after a fatal crash from a virus infected email
Recently I had a crash resulting from a virus infected email. Upon reinstating my operating system (XP Pro) and lost software, I am having difficulties in syncing my Iphone with my PC, my Library apps is blank but the apps are still showing on the iphone. I'm also having problems with my account which is stated to be different from the one on the PC, possibly because I reinstalled itunes. Any suggestions as to how I reinstate my apps in the Library and have the account recognized. Any help would be most appreciated.

Phone will go blank
Before Apple logo comes, release the Power n keep holding Home button
Until you see a pop in the PC that Apple device in recovery mode
At that point iTunes will pop asking to restore iphone
Click restore or
before u click restore just download the iOS 6.0.2 on say desktop
After that press and hold shift on ur keyboard then click restore
It will allow u to navigate and select the iOS firmware u just downloaded
That's it. When done, restore from your iphone backup, and syncing starts working -

You can find the printer's email address two different ways. The first way is to log into ePrintCenter.com and look on the printer's page for the email address. The second way is to touch the ePrint button on the front panel and it will display all of the printers web services information.

Mail.app does not have this possiblility acc. to Apple. There are Scripts but not provided by Apple.
A solution can be to use third party software but I prefer Apples own software so have to wait until there is an update. -

ClamAV fails to scan for viruses in emails [CLAWS MAIL]
I've recently switched from Thunderbird to Claws Mail and ran into one small, but annoying, problem.
I want to use ClamAV + the clamav extension for claws mail to scan for viruses, however it does seem to have permission problems.
clamd is running, user and group clamav all have the relevant permissions as far as I can tell, however upon scanning my mail, I always end up with the following error:

Seems like a permissions error to me... maybe check the actual file it is attempting to scan... I know it is in your home folder, but just to be sure, you might want to check that everything is sane.
