Find by methods
I am doing some programming with CMP where i have one findBy Method , which is returning a Collection, By the way i have couple of get/set methods defined in the Bean implementation class , i need to access the get methods of which , kindly let me know how to do i access those from the client code !!! Do i need to declare those methods in the Remote interface ?
Thanks
Mathew
EmployeeRemote
employee_remote=(EmployeeRemote)PortableRemoteObject.na
row(it.next(),EmployeeRemote.class);
System.out.println("Id"+ employee_remote.getId());---------------------------------------------------------
Wrong!!
Object ref = ctx.lookup("jndiName");
EmployeeHome employee_home = (EmployeeHome) PortableRemoteObject.narrow(ref, EmployeeHome.class);
EmployeeRemote employee_remote = employee_home.create(....);
String name = employee_remote.getName() <--- getXXX method
You first lookup the jndi name to obtain a reference to the ejb. Then you narrow it down to the HOME INTERFACE TYPE!!! You can invoke create[if you want to create a new row in the database] or call findByPrimaryKey [if you want a remote reference to an existing row].
Once you get the remote reference , you can invoke the getXXX/setXXX methods on it. Have a look at the J2EE tutorial for a step by step procedure.
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/tutorial/1_3-fcs/doc/J2eeTutorialTOC.html
Cheers
Kindly let me know if i am calling a right code --
Thanks
Mathew

JAX-WS web service - "Cannot find dispatch method"
I'm getting the same error response every time I send a request to my JAX-WS web service:
<ns2:Fault xmlns:ns2="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns3="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">
<faultcode>ns2:Client</faultcode>
<faultstring>Cannot find dispatch method for {http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope}Envelope</faultstring>
</ns2:Fault>I've tried using JAX-WS RI 2.1.7 and 2.2 on my Tomcat server, but both return the same error response. It will return the WSDL just fine (when "?wsdl" is appended to the endpoint URL). I used "wsimport" to generate the necessary Java classes from my WSDL--it used JAX-WS RI 2.1.6 (the one included with the JDK I guess) to generate the Java source files.
Other people online have had similar problems, but never with the SOAP element "{http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope}Envelope", always with things specific to their WSDLs like "{}reqParams" or "{http://www.telekom.at/eai/WSToCramerCSIRead}CSIRead". I set a debug breakpoint at the start of my SIB method and it doesn't even get that far.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

The solution is to use WebServiceContext to get ServletContext, then use ServletContext to get parameters defined in web.xml.

Then in method
SOAPMessageContext soapCxt = (SOAPMessageContext) m_wsCxt.getMessageContext();

Pi 7.1: Exception when contacting WS - "Cannot find dispatch method"
Hi All,
I have been receiving the following error message as shown in ICM log, where the trace level is set to 3, when a request is sent to a Web Server.
...<SOAP:Faultmlns:SOAP='htt//schemas.xmlsp.org/soap/envope/'><faultco>SOAP:Client</ultcode><faultring>Cannot find dispatch method for arg0</faultstring/SOAP:Fault>..
No error message is returned using a soap client (as soapUI), after loading the same wsdl file.
About the configuration of the SOAP Communication Channel, no conversion parameter have been set and no SOAP Action has been set because the seme exception is also raised by setting "arg0" as SOAP Action.
The structure of the response message is like this.

But the problem is because the updateDate method uses a java.sql.Date object and you are giving it a java.util.Date object. You have to convert from java.util.Date to java.sql.Date. See: [the api for java.sql.Date|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/sql/Date.html] .

Text or GREP find/change method to assign tags
Hi all
I could use a text or GREP find/change method to assign tags to paragraph styles (for use in FindChangeByList), would anyone be able to help please?
SteveHi Peter
I produce a quarterly magazine for which text is supplied in Word format.
I currently run the 'FindChangeByList' script to format body text, headings, bulleted and numbered lists, web and email address text styling and to remove/correct all extraneous characters etc.
Once the job is printed I need to produce a tagged 'accessible' readable (eg: read out loud function in Acrobat) pdf from the file, for text to speech readers.
I am currently using the map tags to styles function, which allows me to assign tags which in turn gives me control of the 'text reading' order.
What I'd like to be able to do is automatically apply the Tags to syles while processing the 'FindChangeByList' script.

Custom tag - unable to find setter method error
I see this compileException on IAS but not on BEA app server and iWS.
JSPProvider.processJSPFile(): jsp=searchContent.jsp, org.apache.jasper.compiler.CompileException
Unable to find setter method for attribute: input
The reason is because the custom tag has a setInput() that takes a String parameter while the getInput() returns an InputStream.
Should both get and set methods have the same type of parameters or is this a due to a bug in the app server ?I see this compileException on IAS but not on BEA app
server and iWS.

I was only going off info from the original post. The error specifically states "Unable to find setter method for attribute: input" with a lower case i for the input attribute. You also specifcally stated "The reason is because the custom tag has a setInput()" with a capital I for the setInput method. This would most definitely cause the error you were receiving. That is unless you corrected this between your original post and your followup testing.

Cannot find java methods when AttachCurrentThread is used.
Hi all,
I'm new to JNI and was trying to make a Java method call from C.
This call has to be done from RPC server on client requests.
Since JVM has to be loaded only once, I made jvm as global variable
and used (*jvm)->AttachCurrentThread method. But the problem i'm
facing now is that after using AttachCurrentThread call, the piece of code
is not finding the method with objects as arguments. The same works
well if the jvm is made a local variable.
Can anyone please help me out?
Thanks in advance,
anil

I cannot find the method in this interface!
Is service an interface and query its method in the following scrips? But I cannot find the method query in this interface. What is the function of new?
Map map = service.query(new FreeMemAgent(), null);
Thank you
Edited by: jetq on Jun 7, 2009 9:05 PMHi Frank,
service is a reference variable and refers to an instance of a class that implements the query() method that returns a reference to an instance of a class that implements the Map interface. If service happens to refer to an instance of a class that implements the InvocationService interface, you can find the Coherence 3.4.2 documentation of the method at InvocationService. The new keyword is a Java operator that creates an object. Continuing with the assumption that service refers to an instance of a class that implements the InvocationService interface, the FreeMemAgent class must implement the Invocable interface. A reference to a "new" FreeMemAgent object is being passed to the query() method.

How can i find (Debug - method) the flow of program in workflow at run time
Hi All,
I working in Workflow monitoring. When a workflow is set into error in SWPR , i need to analyse the error and report it. In many cases the error happens in the method of class / BOR. So i could not find out the what happens inside the method. I am doing this in an productive environment.i am not given to Run any METHOD or BOR or CLASS ? How can i make my workflow monitoring better to show exact error ?
Thanks in advance !
Richard ADear Richard,
You cannot debug a method by directly setting a break point as we do normally.....u can do this by
just putting an infinite loop at the point where u want to set the debug point inside the method.
Execute the workflow where this method is being used.
Then go to SM50, here you will find your method which has gone into infinite loop.I debug mode change the value of the variable so that it can move ahead of the infinite loop.
Now you can debug easily and find out where the problem lies.
Do reply back in case of any query or even if yr problem is resolved.

I am trying to find a method to customise the pin icon on Web Apps map display
Hi all,
We are trying to find a method to customise the pin icon on Web Apps map display. This is the page that we are working with, it has 2 categories of locations.
http://www.corporategames.net.au/aus/Sport/venue-map
I want to be able to set the pin either at a web app item level or a category level.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jude.There's really no simple answer to your problem but I think this link is a good place to start
http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/#custom_marker_image_v3
Also, there are lots of examples of what you want here:
https://developers.google.com/showcase/
But how you apply this to your needs is likely something that's gonna keep you up through many nights and coffees!

PS. If you need the full class info let me know. Mostly I copied it from Tomcat's exaple of dates.
Edited by: Millisa on Apr 23, 2008 2:09 PMYou have declared two funtions called "setDayOfWeek" in your example code which would be a compile error.
Apart from the it works fine for me.
Note however that your check for dates "Not known to man" is probably unnecessary. The Calendar is handling that for you.
So if you set the day to be 9, it will happily wrap it around to day 2 for you, as long as it is set in Lenient mode.

The operation will be terminated.
Termination takes place in:
o Main program: CL_HRRCF_TG_BL================CP
o Subroutine: CL_HRRCF_TG_BL================CM004
o Line in source code: 33
What is the method for corresponding 'CM004'?
How to find a method from this type syntax?
...NaddyHello Naddy
If you select DB table TMDIR with
CLASSNAME = 'CL_HRRCF_TG_BL'
you will find the following entry:
CL_HRRCF_TG_BL 00004 DELETE_TG
To verify that this is indeed the method you are looking for you can use class CL_OO_CLASSNAME_SERVICE.
Call its static method GET_ALL_METHOD_INCLUDES and you that the previous result is correct.

Universal Entity EJB find/select method for single db table
Hi there.
I'm quite new in bea spheres and my question reflects my small knowledge:
Is there any way to perform "universal" sql query on single database table via find/select methods? This means, that I would like to pass whole WHERE clause to these methods, not just some fields values.
What do I mean?
Normally we define find/select method that looks like this one:
SELECT OBJECT(o) FROM Cities AS o WHERE population>=?1 AND state=?2
We call this a method this way:
finder1 (1000000, 'France')
Method returns collection with objects holding data about cities in France with more than 1000000 inhabitans..
But, I want to define method, that could be called this way:
finder1 ("o.population>=1000000 AND o.state='France'")
This method should be able to perform any query on 'Cities' database table.
I tried with defining find method for following query:
SELECT OBJECT(o) FROM Cities AS o WHERE ?1
but it does not work, of course.
Is there possibility to define method that could be called this way?
I use Bea Weblogic Workshop 8.1 SP3

The 'Dynamic Query' feature of WebLogic 8.1's EJB container can help you here. This feature enables you to execute complete EJB QL queries that are constructed on the fly. Check the WebLogic 8.1 documentation for more details.
