Find contact bar always visible in Contacts - Noki...

Hi,
I just got my new Nokia 5800 and the manual is very thin.
While playing with the Contacts, somehow I made a "Find bar" (or "search bar"), with a Magnifyer on the left and a text field, appear at the bottom of the list of contacts, just above the three PHONE / MESSAGE / ADD A CONTACT buttons, and I have no idea how I made this "FIND" bar appear, and how to make it hidden again.
Could anyone help me and tell me how I got this Find bar to show, and how to hide it?

P.S.: I feel kinda stupid asking for this, but couldn't find the solution elsewhere :-)

Its supposed to appear. AFAIK it was never meant to be hidden, as the interface is made to mimic that of a non touch symbian phone. You can also use this find bar to go direct to a contact instead of scrolling.

Is it there when answering and during a FaceTime call?
Is it there after selecting a contact to initiate a FaceTime call and during the call?
You can't remove it when launching FaceTime to initiate a FaceTime call.

Address book search now does not find contacts older contacts in 8310

Hi from a new subscriber, and Thanks for any help! A month ago my 8310 Curve, v. 4.5.0.55 (Platform 2.7.0.68) service provider O2, stopped being able to search and find Contacts unless I had added them after that date. These newer Contacts have not been folded into the original Address Book, but are all in a new and alphabetised list at the end of the original Contacts list. There are no Categories assigned, no Network sync, and Content is not protected. The Contacts are in the phone, not on the SIM.
Before this, I could type in to the Address Book or the phone the first 2-3 letters of someone's name and it would take me to that contact - now it says there's no such person. So I have to scroll through the entire address book to get to who I want, and then I can call/SMS etc.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated! Thanks.

First off, do a simple reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Does this fix your address book?
If not, let me ask if you have added a Gmail email address in the past month, about when this odd behaviour began?
Can you look at Options > Status > press the Meny key > Database Sizes.
Scroll down to Address Book, do you see more than one listed?

Outlook's instant search cant find contacts stored in iCloud

I use Outllook 2007 and their instant search feature wont find contacts stored in iCloud. Instant search works well with all other data files except for iCloud's. Can anyone please help me find a way to find contacts stored in iCloud using Outlook's instant search?

3. write and compile this script

this script will delete all accounts record in current query.
contact will not be deleted, because standart link property is Clear, but all data that is not MVG will be deleted.
the same situation with EIM. But if you plan to delete only several thousands of Record the best and hight speed way be writing a script. Use EIM if you plan to delete more than thousands of record in butch process regualary.

Apple apps cannot find contacts (like in Mail.app)

Any Apple app that I open under an upgraded Mountain Lion, is nit seeing any addresses in Contacts.
For instance, when I start a new message in Mail, and try to insert an address of a known person, there is no result, and only a endless "loading" gif.
It doesn't work when when I want to find contacts in Facetime or share in Photobooth.
The only time it does work, is after I gave 3rd party apps permissions to use my Contacts.
Any idea how to sort this out?

I had the same issue and after looking into a few other threads for ideas, I have finally found a way to get my contacts back into Mail.
Follow these steps and it might help you:
close Mail
go to /Users/<insert_your_user_here>/Library/Containers/ with the 'go to folder' command from the 'Go' menu in the Finder
look for the com.apple.mail folder and just put it in the trash.
disclaimer: you will loose most of your mail's settings, including junk training, stationnaries, toolbars and more.
re-launch Mail.
Your addressbook panel should not be empty anymore.

There are no contacts in itunes. Itunes is a media management program.
Your contacts will be on your computer in whatever program you have chosen to sync.

I am using Skype 7.3 and its almost impossible to find a contact even if you enter their exact Skype Id. Searching for a contact using exact Skype Name may indeed return several similar results, but one and only one will be with exactly the same Skype Name. As a rule, this will be the first result.
