Find Japanese PS/2 keyboard (106/109 Key) driver for Windows 7

Dear all,
I have an old Dynabook Satellite laptop from Japan with Japanese keyboard.
When I reinstall OS using Windows 7 64bit English version, then the keyboard is recognized as "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" while the real layout is Japanese PS/2 keyboard (106/109 Key).
I did work around to get correct driver for my keyboard but fail:
- Some instructions say to change driver in Device Manager... but here I cannot find the "Japanese PS/2 keyboard (106/109 key)" (there is "Japanese USB keyboard (106/109 key)" instead)
- Some instructions say to find driver on Toshiba website, but there is no KEYBOARD driver there
(http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp )
Also I cannot find my Laptop model there.
(Printed in back side of Laptop: Model name : Dynabook Satellite L Series; Model no: PSSD2N-01900N )
Please help me to find keyboard driver for my laptop.
Thank you,
NamViet

>When I reinstall OS using Windows 7 64bit English version, then the keyboard is recognized as "Standard PS/2 Keyboard" while the real layout is Japanese PS/2 keyboard (106/109 Key).
Keyboard uses standard Microsoft driver so installation of some language specific keyboard is not necessary. So, the entry in device manager is correct.
If you use OS English version by default keyboard input language will be English. I have satellite A300 with Hungarian keyboard but use English Win7 and there is no problem at all. Keyboard layout is a bit different but single key definition is the same as on English keyboard.
What I dont understand is follow:
If you use English OS version is keyboard input language set to English?
What happen when you type in some document?
Do you want to change keyboard with English layout?
At the end I must say that I dont have experience with notebooks designed for Japan but I cannot imagine it works completely different as notebooks designed for European market.

  • Satellite X200-22U - FN key driver for Windows 7?

    Hi all!
I use a Satellite X200-22U notebook, and I want to install Windows 7 32bit on it.
The problem is, that my FN key functions don't work.
They worked fine with the factory installed Vista, but the multimedia keys were dead.
Now, under Win7 my multimedia keys are working fine, but the FN key functions are dead.
I installed almost all the drivers (Value Added Package, Controls, Flashcard, Assist, Chipset, Bluetooth, etc.) but some of them is available only for Win XP, some others only for Vista, there is no Win7 support. Despite this (as I see) my only problem is the FN key support. I want to switch the displays, set the brightness, mute the speakers, so it's problem.
My tfncky.exe doesn't run under Win7 and I got a message about it after startup.
Is there any newer version available for Win7, or can I use the driver(s) of an other notebook?
    Could you help me?
    Thanks,
    McLawrence

    Hi mate
Ive got a older notebook and the Win 7 drivers were not released for my series.
I downloaded simply the Value Added Package and Flash Card Support Utility from the Toshiba European driver page: chosen the tools which were released for Satellite L500 series.
I installed first VAP and after new reboot I followed with Flash Card installation.
After second reboot I tested the Fn buttons and could get this functionality and the control bar appeared at the top of the display.
You could also check if you could restart the Flash Card in All Programs > Toshiba -> FlashCard restart

  • Hot Keys Driver for Windows 7 64 BIT - Notebook P205D-S8802

    Hello Guys,
im a happy owner from the toshiba p205D-S8802 Notebook. Yesterday i have switched to Windows 7 64 Bit. All devices working correctly, only the hotkeys have no function.
I have looked on the toshiba website and have searched over different search machines, but i cannot find them.
    Can somebody help me?
    Alex

    Hi
Satellite A205 is definitely an US series the drivers should be downloaded from the Toshiba US driver page:
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp
Maybe you will not find all Win7 tools for this unit but in such case try the Vistas VAP.
This package contains more single tools which control different notebook functions.

  • Apple keyboard driver for Windows XP without running Bootcamp constantly

I just reinstalled Bootcamp/WindowsXP and wanted to know if there was a way I can get a driver for JUST the keyboard working.  I don't use any of the MBP F key functions like backlighting and volume so don't like having the bootcamp processes always running, especially because I hate the backlight on keyboards that you can't fully turn off without a slightly annoying thing each startup.  I use an external keyboard which has all the extra F key functions, but again never use them. I just need a way that I can keep functionality of the F keys without running Bootcamp proccesses in the background and the <Use F1,F2, F3, keys as normal function"
    TL;DR
Apple keyboard driver for WindowsXP so I can properly use F# keys w/out

From what I know, the BootCamp Driver installer program install all the Windows required drivers and it does not offer any customization options of which drivers the user wants to install on their Windows partition.
Now you can recover normal F-key functionality by doing the following:
Go to the Bootcamp Control Panel in the desktop task bar.
Click Allow if the Windows asks permission.
The Bootcamp Control Panel will open.
Look in the tabs at the top of the Windows and click the "Keyboard" header.
There you should see an option that says "Use F/Keys..." or something similar. There you will be able to use the keys normally as in a Windows PC.
    Hope this helps!

  • T510 - No label with product key numbers for Windows 7

I just noticed that my T510 does not have the Product key numbers for the installed OS (Windows 7 64-bit), which I find quite strange. My previous three T machines, both from IBM and Lenovo, all have those labels n the back.
What is going on and what are the possible implications?
Thanks for any enlightenment on this issue.

  • Invalid Activation Key Code for Windows 7

    Re: CSOxxxxxxxxxx (IBM)
         : Lenovo pt/#-57Y2911
I purchased a T500 with VISTA and upgraded to Windows 7 (pt/#-572911), purchased from Lenovo. Installed it as directed and now Microsoft has monitored the software as it is on my computer and they are saying it is not a valid Key Code. One Key Code came with the new disc that was mailed to me and it was not working as I placed it in the BOX. So Lenovo e-mailed me another Key Code and I have been operating Windows 7 for about a Month and now I'm being told once again that the Key Code is in error.
I spoke with IBM by phone on Friday (12-12-09) and was told by a fellow named P that I was being asked for the Key Code to Microsoft Office 2007 and tonight (12-13-09), Saturday, I'm finding out that the Key Code wanted is for Windows 7 and not Microsoft Office!
I hope there is someone credible with Lenovo that will follow up on this matter...the phone number given me by e-mail is (866-968-4465). The person (P) there was of no help! I still have a copy of the e-mail, to prove my case.
    Please help!
I do not like this kind of situation! And I hope not to have to give Lenovo a bad name; I spent a lot of money!

    Welcome to the forum!
While there are a few Lenovo employees roaming around in here helping out on a volunteer basis, this is not an official support channel with dedicated Lenovo support personnel assigned to it. Instead, this is designed to be a user-to-user support and discussion forum. You may or may not get an answer directly from one of the Lenovo employees as there are way more of us than them and all of them, even Mark, have full-time jobs doing other things.

  • Can't find a driver for windows 7

    Hi All
I expect this is old news to everyone but I can't find a suitable driver for my much loved Zire. I stupidly let the battery go flat and of course it wiped everything!. But I would love to be able to use it with my laptop to keep birthday reminders and calendar up to date - however there is no mention of a suitable driver for my 64 bit laptop. Does anyone know if there is one and if so where I can find it please?
    Post relates to: Zire

I would like to direct your search to the "Windows HotSync" section of this forum, where this question has been asked hundreds of times...
Look at the top posts with a dark background, especially the one with "64 bit drivers are here" in the title.

  • Apple Wireless Keyboard - Volume & Brightness keys not working Windows 7

Finally got my wireless keyboard working within Windows 7 but the volume / Eject / Brightness keys all do nothing - all other keys appear fine.
I have reinstalled the bootcamp drivers for the 2nd time but still nothing. I had this all working previously but have factory restored my iMac and cant remember how I originally did this..
    Any ideas?

Maybe you could update the Boot Camp drivers. That happened to my internal keyboard, and updated drivers some times fixed it. Other times it fixed itself after a few restarts.

  • Officejet 7410 Driver for Windows 10 does not find my wired (Ethernet) printer during installation

The driver apparently didn't install completely because I can't run HP Solution Center. I can access the web server on the printer by using the IP address in a browser.  I set it to a static address. The driver seems to install except that it won't find the printer when I select a wired network printer. This printer has been working for years with Windows 7. Surprisingly, I can still print, but I can't scan since the Solution Center won't run. If I use the print and scan doctor, it tells me I need a new driver, but if I then try download it from that program, it always fails. I have installed the driver with a data of Aug 3 2015.  That seems to be the latest one. I don't know whar else to do.  I need some help.

Welcome to the HP Community , I hope to help you with the installation issues you're having with your Officejet 7410 on Windows 10. Below are some suggestions I have for you to try. Let me know what happens. If you see any error codes or messages, please tell me the specifics. Start with power cycling the network devices:
Turn off the printer and computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press any buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, next turn on the printer and computer.  Perform a Clean Boot on your computer:1. Begin by typing “msconfig” in the Cortana Search Box and then click on MSConfig (Run Command)
Or on your keyboard press the Windows + R key at the same time and type Msconfig in the run window, then click on OK or hit enter.
    2. Now choose Selective Start-up
    3. Remove the check from Load Startup Items
    4. Click on the Services tab
    5. Check “Hide all Microsoft Services” and then click on Disable All
    6. Click on Apply and then on OK. 7. Click this link to download the full driver and software: HP Photosmart and Officejet Full Feature Software and Drivers Now open up the software and try scanning, and try printing too! Reminder: Go back in to the Clean Boot instructions and enable the start up services!  Good luck Show thanks for my reply to help you today by hitting the "thumbs up" icon below!

  • Registry Keys path for Windows 2008 (64-bit)

In the BusinessObjects Enterprise Administrator's Guide it discusses setting the range of ports that the RAS uses in the following registry keys in Windows as.....
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\CER\RequestPortLower
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\CER\RequestPortUpper
That only applies to 32-bit OS. If you are running under 64-bit OS then the paths are different....
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\CER\RequestPortLower
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\CER\RequestPortUpper
Posting this here so others can find it.

    Ingo -
This is for the BusinessObjects BI Solution Architecture, the REGEDIT path documented in the "working with firewalls" section of the BOE-3.1 Admin Guide applies only to the 32 bit version of Windows.
In the 64-bit OS, the path is different....as noted in my post.
Looking forward to taking your BOE-4.0 course in Orlando on Sunday.

Hi. I have recently upgraded to windows 8 with a clean install. I was wondering if there is software to get the power switch control software back so I can set it to auto, turbo or cool because without it I think using the switch is useless. I also would like to know if there is a way to get one key recovery back.

I can't use the One Key Recovery of my Y2P anymore, as I decreased the size of the C partition in favour of increasing D:\Data
