I'm with Dreamweaver 8.
How can I find all the linked pages from and to a specific
file ?
It's easy to find broken links, but how about valid links
?
Do a sitewide find for each page name.

Need help to find link to external AS2 file
I have purchased an image gallery program that works fine but I am struggling to make a very minor modification. I have asked the author for assistance but previous requests have met with no response so I am also asking my question here.
This program has most of its logic in an external AS2 file. I have made some small changes to this file and want to save it under a new name. However, that would also require me to change the reference to the external AS2 file from within the fla file. That's where my problem lies. I can't find any code in the fla that contains such a reference.
If I try to publish an swf without this file in the required location it causes a compiler error thus proving that there must be a reference somewhere to that file. However, doing a search for this AS2 file in the 'current document' when viewing the fla file in Flash CS4 produces no results. Where else could this reference be hidden?
DavidUnfortunately, the Movie Explorer window does not show class references of the type under discussion. I guess an alternative way to reference this external file might be via an include statement in an action, which would make it a lot easier to find than when it is hidden in the properties box of a library symbol.
However, the Movie Explorer appears to be a useful facility for finding and searching timeline actions so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I used it for a brief exploration of another fla file with lots of code scattered all over the place.

Hi , my problem is that i can only create absolute links to other pdf-files in a main pdf-file. how can i switch to or create relative links. Thanks for help!
I’m using version 11.0.10. So where the Menu resides in a folder ready to be burnt on to a CD, that same folder is where the links point to.

First install through regular update : never finishing the start after automatic restart
First install from scratch: erase through disk utility, install OS X Mavericks (using Recover mode), restart ok - Used Migration Assistant to restore applications and data only - Mail crashed each 5 inutes and asked constantly for password of my 2 accounts, links between folders and files not OK and attaching a doc was complicated. I downloaded the update same problems

So far no Mac since 3 days ...
Any help is welcomeStill struggling to understand why copying the entire root dir to a disk image and then restoring from that image did not, as expected, yield an identical system, and why I even had to reinstall after doing this.
Because there is a lot more going on under the hood than merely copying files.
The only way to do what you want is to use cloning software like Carbon Copy Cloner.
My advice is to rescue your personal files to a regular non-TimeMachine external drive, Zero erase the ENTIRE drive and install OS X fresh and update, then your programs from original sources and files from backup.
Then, make a bootable clone and you can copy that as many times as you want and each one is bootable.

I'd download the latest ITunes and I started it and it has this error message:
"The procedure entry point ADAdPolicyEngine_DidEnterStation could not be located in the dynamic link library C:Program Files/x86/itunes.dll"
I reinstalled ITunes several times and it got the same message. Please help.For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. I've not seen this message before, but it has the same pattern as those discussed in the first and third boxes, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find iTunes.dll in the iTunes folder in Program Files or Program Files (x86). Delete it and then repair iTunes from the control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

After I get this error iTunes will not open, and does not respond
I have't been able to find any info on this can anyone help?Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Web-Disk on OSX 10.9 Give me this error: "Finder got an error: Network file permission error."
Previously I was using OSX 10.8 and Web Disk was working great.
Since I upgraded to OSX 10.9 Web Disk Dont Attach to my compputer and give me this ERROR:

To force all connections to be SMB1:

What the command does:
Creates a file called nsmb.conf in your home directory at the path ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf.
Adds directives to force SMB connections to use the SMB1 protocol. This is slower but stable.
Then I could use Web Disk on OSX 10.9 after executing this command in Terminal.
But now I restarted my Macbook and now Im NOT able to connect to Web Disk and get the same ERROR.
FInder got an error: Network file permission error
After trying 100 times it attaches 1 time but then show this ERROR:
Can't get <<class cdis>> "my.server.com/2078" of application "Finder".
If this happen then I can see the files in Finder and see the Contents and Size of files but if I open a PHP file in BBEdit then it shows BLANK.. But actually it is NOT blank.
Now Im stuck How can I solve this? All help is highly appericated..

Snow Leopard finder doesn't list all files on Windows 7 volumes
From my Macbook Pro (10.6.8), I can connect to my Mac Pro, while it is running Windows 7 in Boot Camp, in order to access the Mac Pro's 6 volumes (1 Boot Camp, 5 Mac volumes). This is using SMB via Finder's 'Connect to server…' on an Airport network.
However, Finder never displays all the files and folders on any of the Mac volumes it connects to through Windows 7. It seems to show approximately the first 18-9 files and folders, and then nothing. The same applies when I open a nested folder — it doesn't list all of its contents.
Any ideas as to what's causing this and how I can fix it? I have searched all over but can't find any answers yet, so I'm hoping someone here has seen this before.Thanks for the reply, but I do have the Restore Windows box checked (see below). And the Resume features info (cnet link) only addresses how to turn the feature off, either selectively or globally. I'm simply looking for the functionality that I had with Snow Leopard and now seems to be absent. Maybe it's a bug in my Finder.

Can I create a custom table of contents and link to other .pdf files based on responses to a form?
Hey Everyone! First post ever, so bear with me:
I'm trying to create a streamlined method to use a form to let myself and others add information and select certain options to put together a custom table of contents. Basically, I would like to have a form with a series of text fill and single/multiple choice options that will automatically populate a table of contents based on the selections and will link to other .pdf files that are associated with the selections. I was hoping this would be possible with a form, but I'm relatively new to the function of the software as a whole and my research came up short. Any suggestions on how to start are more than welcome, and if I wasn't quite clear enough I would be happy to elaborate.

There are many cheaper PDF creation alternatives other than Adobe's Acrobat Pro software.
Also, try doing a web search under these terms to see if you can find an app/software/solution that may work for you.

How can i re-link .mpkg and .pkg files to hidden Installer?
I am near the end of the process of setting up my new Mac Pro (early 2009) eight core. Quite the wonderful difference from my "Mirror Drive Door" dual 1.25 GHz machine!
The Mac Pro came with Mac OS X 10.6.2 installed. I updated this to 10.6.6 via Software Update along with a slew of other updates presented there. I downloaded and installed a bunch of software. Finally, I was ready to install iLife 11 from the "CPU Drop-in" DVD that was on top of the box when the computer was originally unpacked.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't even begin the install. The "iLife.mpkg" file, when double-clicked, returned the error message "no application associated with this document". Hours of investigation reveals that NO .mpkg or .pkg file will open; doing a "get info" on the files reveals that those files have lost their link to the Installer app.
AND since the only installer I can find is hidden in /usr/sbin, there is no way I can re-link .mpkg and .pkg files to it via "get info".
I downloaded Pacifist and used it to open the "Mac OS X 10.6.6 Combo" package and re-installed the Combo updater. Much to my surprise, that didn't fix the linking issue.
I've logged in as root, but still can't re-link the package files to the Installer as /usr/ is still hidden. Is there a way I can temporarily "un-hide" the /usr directory so that "get info; open with" can see it?
I've started from the Mac OS X installer DVD and repaired permissions on the hard disk and "repaired" the hard disk. No luck there either.
I did a clean install of Mac OS X 10.6.2 to a different hard drive and applied the combo updater and the packages worked as expected there. So some software I installed or by running a slew of updaters via Software Update broke the link between packages and the Installer.
I'm sure that re-linking to packages to the hidden installer app can be done via Terminal and possible other ways, but I don't know how to do it.
Short of doing a complete Mac OS X 10.6 re-installation and update and having to re-do several days of other software installations and data transfers, I'm hoping someone will offer some solutions or tips on how to solve my problem.

But your tip spurred me to check the test 10.6.6 installation on the other hard disk and yes! It's there!
A quick copy from the second hard disk to my current hard disk and doing the "get info" trick and everything now works wonderfully. Only one day lost to trying to figure this out. Now that the problem is fixed, quite the relief. -

If I view the song in finder, all that i have to do is press command-i and it opens a window. In the section where you view the name and extension I took off the extension (.mp3 in my case) and replaced it with .wav -

Even after I have used it a lot I still find myself trying to upload the file at the same time. As you say - it only makes sense. But you'll get used to it. ;-)
As far as the module way of doing it instead of coding it in, there is so much more flexibility this way. In your example you have one document which isn't bad ... but what if you had to list 100 documents in your page that are located in several different locations on the server? Now it's a simple task of adding one tag and your done.
Other advantages:
1: Your documents can be found in the site search
2: Recods and displays file type and size to the viewer so they can choose to download it or not.
There is more but after years of the individual code way, I so love this Literature Module and the flexibility it gives. -

I would like to setup a set of pdf documents, on the hard disk of a PC or Mac, that can be open with acrobat pro running on the same computer and have the link jump to, and open in a new window, in acrobat pro, to a given page of a second document in the set.
Is there a way to setup a link in word and the conversion to pdf that will result in a link that is equivalent to the acrobat link type you get when you add a link of the type Go to a page in another document?

I got close but did not solve the problem:
I have a version that uses links to a website, using #page=43 at the end of the hyperlink.
That works but will only open to the page if is through the web browser, opening the acrobat reader plugin.
I need to open from a folder on the local harddisk (with relative links), in acrobat pro to the given page of the pdf, on a PC or a Mac.
I could bookmark each page “pagenumberxxx” and jump to the bookmark/page if that would get around some problem
Current Systems in use to create documents with links and view them:
Windows XP SP3
Word 2003 SP3
Acrobat 9 pro version 9.4.4
Or just to view them:
Mac OS 10 Lion version 10.7.4

JohnNo. There seems to be no automated way to do it. You can of course go into the PDF and manually add links after you have converted to PDF, but that is what we want to avoid having to do. We want it to be automatic from the Word doc.
