I recently had my Iphone stolen and my Icloud picked it up for a breif moment in front of someones house. I am from Illinois and it was stolen in Wisc. I had a friend go the house but it was a little old lady. Im pretty sure she did not live alone but my friend did felt a little uncomfortable even going to the door for me. When I continue to go on to Icloud it says my phone is offline but as of today I have been able to call it and it rings until my voicemail picks up. Before it would go to voicemail. Am I correct that there is a chance the sim card is still intact? I did put a lock on the phone so they are not able to access the phone except if they call the number provided by the "This phone is Lost" app I was able to us from Icloud. I am just looking for a little bit of hope that the phone could still be retrieved or brought online somehow before I completely give up home and have it erased. Any success stories or advice anyone has. I did call the police and have yet to get intouch with an officer to file a report but did get feed back that they could not go to the house without a warrent.

Is there any way to track an iPod that isn't connected to wifi or is dead? Mine was connected to find my iPhone with iCloud though

I lost my iPod recently it might have been stolen, it might of fell out of my bag, I don't know all I know is its not at home and I want to track it , I cloud is turned on but not for other apps like notes and things I'm pretty sure it's only on for find my iPhone app I used it n pressed lost mode and all I can but is there any way I can actually see where it is and it's location? If you are the original owner of the phone and know the Apple ID and password that were used to activate it originally, and if you have an existing backup to restore from, you can force it into recovery mode (which will completely erase it) and restore it as explained here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. When you do you will encounter activation lock, and will have to provide the ID and password used to activate it originally in order to activate it again. If you can't, you won't be able to activate and use it.

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

If you had enabled find-my-iPhone before it was lost, you could track it as long as it had a data connection - either 3G or wifi, doesn't matter which just so long as the iPhone and the iCloud servers can talk to each other. But, in order to track it at all, you need to enable the find setting under your iCloud account's settings on the iPhone before it goes missing.
After it has been lost (and without the tracking setting enabled), with or without a data connection, there is nothing you can do to track it remotely.

I'm using ipad mini and the iOS is 7.0.4. I used an Apple ID (called: A), and I activated my ipad, used iCloud & Find my iphone with this A account. But now I've changed address of Apple ID from A@.... to the new one: B@.... (just changed email address of Apple ID, not create a new ID), and then I signed out iCloud, old Apple ID, etc... on my ipad and signed in with new id B@.... Everythings seem OK, I can sign in/out iCould, turn on/turn off Find my iphone as well with the new one (B@...)
But I still have a question (and still confusing with it): What will happend when I restored my ipad? I mean my iOS is 7, so which Apple ID will be asked to re-activate my ipad after I restore it, old id A@.... (this one cannot be used now) or the new one B@...., please?

If you've succesfully changed the ID for iCloud and Find my phone, it will be your new ID you use if you need to restore it.

I turn off find my iphone but icloud activation lock still on

i have set up my icloud on iphone 4s 16gb ios 7.0.6 and then i check to my icloud account my device is listed on find my iphone, then i turn off find my iphone in the iphone it asked for password and confirmed that find my iphone is off, i checked it again on my icloud account on the website my device not listed anymore, and then i checked through icloud.com/activation lock put my serial but it said find my iphone still on, then i tried again to turn on FMI confirmed is on then i checked again on my icloud account the device listed there, i turn off again the device dissapeared, check again the activation lock still on, i want to update to the latest ios this is really confusing, my wifi is greyed out cause of updating to ios 7.0.6 but another problem start with find my iphone, how can i solve this

I got my iphone stolen right out of my bag and I am assuming there is no way of retrieving the phone back unless I have the Find My Iphone app? I am hoping someone could prove me wrong or give me another solution to getting it back. I have a lot of photos, videos and memories in that phone and I would do anything to get it back. It is not an app. It is a feature of icloud and iphone. Did you set it up on the iphone itself BEFORE it was stolen? If not, then you cannot track it at all.
Change your passwords and report it to the police.

if find my iphone was enabled on the device then you should be ok, log into icloud and select the find my iphone, on the devices tab click the device in question, if a location comes on the phone is swiched on, if not and the phone is turned off select the email whan found option and also i would send a request to wipe the phone and send a alert to the device so if any one turnes it on they will see the message that it is stolen
