Find my iPad location is not correct?

I just used MobileMe to look for my new iPad and where it says it is, is not where it really is. It is setting right next to me on the desk while I type this. Yet, https/me.com/find says that it is 6 doors down on a different street! How can I fix this?

Is it possible that a stronger (although I don't see how) wifi signal is picking up my iPad? The reason I ask is the last time I did "Find my iPad" it showed up at an address different than before. This time it was "placed" at a house across the street.

Where are your ISP offices located?
Have you tried resetting the Time Capsule back to factory default settings and then setting it up again? If yes, it may take Apple's location services servers 4-6 weeks to pick up the new location.

I found that Thailand National holiday currently shown in my iPad calendar is not correct.
8th April 2014 is shown as holiday. But, actually it is not a holiday.

If you have not enabled Find My iPad, you can't track your iPad. Apple does not track stolen device
1. Change your passwords immediately
2. Notify the credit card company immediately
3. Report to insurance company
4. Report to the police; they will need the iPad Serial Number

Try turning location services for find my phone off and on, you might want to restart the iPad in between.

Incorrect "find my iPad " location.

The find my iPad feature shows my iPad in China near Bejing when in fact it is with me in the UK. Also I have never been in China nor my ipad. The feature worked perfectly well until I upgraded to IOS 7.0.02. How do I rectify this?

Try quitting those apps like I describe below then reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Do this for all apps. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Finder sorts files as Kind not correct

Please help me. I recently purchased a new MBA 13" running ML. When put Finder to view files as Kind, it separates files as movies, documents and PDF files etc. But it seems to cannot differentiate between images files and other documents. It combines all images and other documents such as zip files and word documents as the same types while this does not happen before. I tried view setting to sort by None, then sort by Kind again it still combines images with other docs.
I tried restarting, relaunch Finder and reset spotlight index it doesn't help.
Please help me.

You are not "sorting," you are "arranging."
An arrangement is a grouping. You can sort within arrangements, or you can sort without arranging.
The menu and button displays the arrangement options when you click it. To select sort options, hold down the option key and click same button/menu item.
You can see both at same time in the View Options dialog.
If you set arrangement to "None," you can set a Sort option without any grouping.
I'm on an iPad for the moment, so I can't check how it groups, but it may just group as "Documents," not as specific types of documents.
Try just sorting by setting the Arrangement to "None," then set the Sort to "Kind."

My location service is not working correctly

For location the iPod uses the location nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's data base. You do not have to be connect to the router.
Thus, it appears that the router the iPod is using does not have the correct location in Apple's database. Apple continuously updates their database based on data it obtains from iPhones. No one has found a way to tell apple to correct/add a wifi router to their database.
Did you move the router?

Preset folder location is not correct

Bought a new Mac so this may be part of the problem. Now when I have added some new Develop Presets from a vendor, they don't show up in the Preset list. So went to Prefereences>Presets>Locate Preset Folder. But it points to a folder at Pictures>Lightroom.
How do I get it to point to the right folder so all my presets will load?
Tried hitting "Restore Local Adjustment Presets" because I had some new ones in there. Made a copy in another location before I did this just in case it tried to delete them, but that didn't work and they weren't deleted. Relaunched the program several times. Still can't point to the right folder.
Thoughts?

I've discovered that the Local Adjustments presets don't go in the Picture>Lightroom folder on the Mac. Rather they go in this folder: User>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Lightroom>Local Adjustments.
And there's no way to have LR import them there. If you double click on them in the Finder Desktop, it will install them in the wrong place (the Picture>Lightroom path).
The default LR presets (Burn, Dodge, and 2 others) show up just fine on the pull-down menu in Local Adjustments bar and they are in the same folder with the newly acquired presets (about 20 of them) but the new ones won't appear in the pull-down menu. Have re-launched LR numerous times but still they don't show.

Spellcheck finds misspelled words but will not correct them on right-click

Before I upgraded to FF4, if there was a misspelled word on a field, I could right-click the underlined word and suggestions would show up in my menu. However, since the upgrade when I right click the underlined word I get the standard right-click menu without any suggestions. The standard being "Back, Forward" etc.etc.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Find my iPad is not appearing in Settings

I have work iPads that are all up to date.
I went to turn on "find my iPad" in the settings, which works on all the iPads but one.
On the one it did not work on the "find my iPad" option is not even there. I have looked all over the internet for some answer and have found nothing close.
Any ideas?

Check Restrictions in General. Don't have it enabled in mine and am not going to do so, but I do see it has a Location Services entry in the Privacy section and since Find My iPad is found there….

The Find My iPad app has nothing to do with actually finding your iPad. It is an app that works like the iCloud version - to locate your iPad if lost or stolen. Remember that in order for Find my iPad to work, your device must be connected to the Internet via WiFi or cellular. If the device is offline, you will not be able to locate it. Find My iPad does retain it's last know location for a short time, but if that time is expired, it will appear as offline and no location will be available. This is of course assuming you did actually activate Find My iPad. If not, there is no way to track it anyway.
If you were using iOS 7 even if they wipe the iPad, they will not be able to activate it. Not helpful to you now I know, but if you don't get it back you know they can't use it anyway.

Are you absolutely certain that you are entering the password correctly and by that I mean are you using upper and lower case letters exactly like they are in your password? Have you tried signing out in Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Try signing out, restart your iPad and then go back and sign in again.

Stolen iPad - Find My iPad

My iPad was stolen a few weeks ago, and I had Find My iPhone installed. No results so far (The iPad has only WiFi.)
I have heard through others that it is a simple case for the thieves to wipe the iPad and reinstall it without it showing up again on Find My iPhone.
My question is: when you have a unique serial number for your iPad and the iPad is registered to your unique Apple ID, and also have it registered the unit on Find My iPhone, Why cannot Apple track the unit as soon as it surfaces again? I find it hard to believe that someone will "own" a stolen iPad without connecting it to the App-store.
Is this true? Is the Apple theft protection only an imaginary feature?

Find my iPad/iPhone is not an anti-theft feature and never has been. It is a courtesy feature to help peple find lost devices. Activation lock is an anti-theft feature. Even if someone erases the device, they need to know your appleid and password to activate it In iTunes. Without that information, activation lock prevents the device from being activated in iTunes, making it useless to whomever has it.
Apple Inc. does not and never has tracked devices for people. They merely provide the hardware and software for people to locate their own devices. Apple Inc. is a passive participant in the find my iPad/iPhone function, not an active one.
