Find my iPhone application is not accurate
it give the location in other place. is my mac has a duplicate???
How far off is the location, that Find My Phone is showing? The position shown can be a few blocks off, if the position cannot be determined accurately.

No app is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

Iphone stolen - Find my iphone application does not find my phone
Dear all,
yesterday evening my iphone 5 was probably stolen.
After I discovered that (approx. 30 to 50 min. after it was stolen), I tried to call my phone, but the phone was already turned off. I went home immediatly, logged-in into icloud and started "find my iphone app" and requested "erase" as soon as the phone goes online somewhere.
The problem I have now, is that several times I logged into that "find my iphone app" in iCloud in my brower, sometimes I received the message that "find my iphone app" cannot start. I did send report to Apple already.
I do have an old iphone 4 as well, which is also connected to my cloud. That phone is online and right in front of me.
When I start "find my iphone app" the phone cannot be found… it says the device is "offline". But it's not.
So I'm afraid now that the "erase" request for my iPhone 5 is useless and does not work.
On that phone is really sensitive data from work, so it must be erased.
Anyone knows what I can do now?

DanielIt sounds like you are doing everything you can given the circumstances. Heres a link that may help. I don't think it has any new information but to make sure you report it to your local law enforcement.

You should change any and all passwords that you use on your iPhone immediately.
Did you have a passcode lock on your iPhone that required a 4 digit number before the phone could be unlocked? That might prevent some of your data from being stolen or used.
I presume that you contacted the police. -

Unfortunately if you did not set up 'Find My iPhone', there is no way to remotely track or wipe the device.

Find My Phone would have had to be activated/turned on before your phone was lost/stolen.. There is no way to do that now, thus no way to use such to locate your phone. Had you done so, you would login to iCloud.com from any computer & see if you could locate your phone.

Without the Find My iPhone function enabled on your device, the only possible way would be to:
1. Report the theft to local law enforcement. Provide them with the serial number/IMEI or MEID number.
2. Try to manually locate the device by calling it, and hope that someone answers, and that they are an honest person.
That's about it. With all due respect, if this is the THIRD time it has happened to you, then why in the world did you NOT activate Find My iPhone?? -
TS4006 Find my iPhone app is not coming up in location services
On my new iPod when you go into PRIVACY > LOCATION SERVICES there is a list of apps that can use location services. In the list the app FIND MY IPHONE which I have previously downloaded does not come up in the list. This means that I cannot turn location services on for the app find my iPhone I cannot find my iPod on the app if I needed to.
