Find my iPhone is showing someone else's device

I logged into Find my iPhone last night and along with the devices attached to my iCloud account, there was an extra device not belonging to me.
It wasn't an old device that I had not removed from the account, it was someone elses MacBook and had their name next to it.
I removed the device from the list, quickly logged out, and changed my iCloud password. But upon logging back in later in the evening, the device had reappeared.
I again removed it, logged out and changed my password, but this still didn't work. So far upon loggin in this morning it hasn't shown up but I am concerned that if I can see someone elses device, that they may be able to see mine (which means they could possibly lock and / or erase my devices)
Has anyone else had this issue?

Take it back to the store where you got it.

I have just upgraded to an iPhone 5s. I've just tried to update/download some apps but when it asks for my Apple ID it is showing someone else's e-mail address.
I have been into settings and it all looks ok in the App Store bit (has my Apple ID). But it's not letting me log in to check.
All is well on my iPad......
Can anyone help as I'm confused.

My guess is something went wrong with the transfer.
I would go back to the store and try to talk with the same person who helped you the first time to see if they can help.
In Settings>iTunes and App Store, do you see your Apple ID or the other one?
And did you previously have an iPhone or did you have a different kind of phone?

Here's an interesting bit: iTunes will let me restore my iPod touch from backup: it's still running iOS 4.3.3. I figured as much... there's backups showing in the Preferences -> Devices list for both devices (and even my old, long gone iPod touch 2G), but my iPhone (on iOS5) isn't giving me any such option. I remember I had to downgrade before to get the backup restored (something went haywire in the setup assistant, and I couldn't restore a backup from iTunes there)... If it was possible to go to iOS 5.0 rather than 5.0.1 I would just do the same thing again, but iOS 5.0.1 isn't an option. I attached a screenshot. Hopefully Apple can get this nonsense sorted out; I think iOS 5 might be the root of this, somehow.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

Any thoughts on this , I'm worried that someone has cloned my device Id and is phishing , or would there be just a major glitch in the GPS ? My mac app store shows someone else's update

My Mac App Store is showing someone else's update. the update is for an app called CodeBox. I've never heard of it, not even purchasing it. when I tried to cleaning my computer's cache, it's still there. What should I do?? It's very irritating for my family...

I can't see how it has achieved such notariety in your household ... it is simply an inexpensive developers tool.   That said, you or someone else has downloaded it at some time; it won't just appear.
But you can check that.   As it is a paid app, it will appear in your purchases list (hidden or unhidden) and if by some odd situation it doesn't, write to the billing department and ask for a copy of the account it featured on.
In terms of getting rid of it, the chances are it could have been partially deleted by the person who downloaded it.   But you have a clone or similar in your system and that is why MAS is picking it up and showing the update availability.
You're going to have to search a little harder, I'm afraid.

Try these two ways to fix the iPhone (in order). If neither works, you would have to take it to the store.
1. Reset the iPhone. Hold the on/off and home buttons togehter for about 10 seconds. If it works, you'll get the Apple logo and then something good should happen.
2. Try recovery mode as described here:

If one of these work, you can then re-introduce the iPhone to Find My iPhone by doing Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone = "On" on the device.

My brand new iPhone 5S is showing someone else's Apple ID?!

I recently bought a new iPhone from the Apple Store. I currently have an iPhone 4 so I am trying to restore my new iPhone from iCloud back up. However when I put in my Apple ID and password and then select my most recent back up to back up from, it asks me for the password from someone else's email address?! I do not recognise this email address at all, have Apple given me a second hand phone?!

Using Find iPhone to track someone else

Before IOS7 I had my phone setup to track my kids' phones. I did this by creating a 2nd iCloud account on their phone with my iCloud login. But apparently a change has been made in IOS7 that prevents Find iPhone from being used in a secondary account. So, the only way I can track those phones now is to setup their "main" iCloud account with my login information. This works OK, except for one problem - they will now be unable to sync photos or documents to their own iCloud account or use Photo Stream.
If anyone knows of a workaround for this, please let me know. Ideally, I'd like for them to have their own fully functional iCloud accounts, but also allow me to use Find iPhone on my iPhone to track them.

Unless the device has been modified, it cannot be tracked, not by a civilian at least.

My IPhone appears as someone else's when plugged into my computer.

When it shows up as a "drive" it is not shown as the name of my Iphone but someone else's. All of my things are on the phone, the name is just incorrect.

The app history and web history is on your your phone and that should not be accessible over the wifi network to others. If oyu are concerned about web history you can turn on private browsing in settings/safari and clear history and cookies and data

You mean that during the Setup Assistant, it is prompting you for an Apple ID and Password? Or do you currently have access to the device?
If so, in the Settings > iCloud, is there an Apple ID listed at the top? Is Find My iPhone turned on? If so, then you need to return the device, or get the previous owner to remove the device from their iCloud/FMiP Account.

Find my iphone screen showing my macbook as locked

I recently sold my macbook pro on ebay
It was delivered today to the buyer.
I forgot to remove my icloud from the macbook I have been on my Icloud account and the macbook shows up as being at the persons home address.
This all well and good which shows me it has been delivered to correct person, But my icloud screen only gives me the option to play a sound on macbook i cannot lock or erase or delete from my account .
How do i fix this i need it removing from my account
on icloud screen it has name of macbook pro and underneath it says locked
I didn't lock it.
