"find my iphone" sent alert to my phone. I did not lose phone.
Why would I get a sound sent to my phone from "find my iphone" if i did not lose phone or initiate this?
It shouldn't happen unless it was initiated by someone else who knows your iCloud credentials.

I believe that my iPhone or apple ID has been hacked into. Three imessages were sent from my phone that I did not type or send - two while I was asleep at 1:15am and in the morning during an iMessage conversation. These messages were to my boyfriend about my boss. Apple and AT&T have been somewhat helpful but both are pointing fingers at the others saying they cannot track the message or see if my personal information has been compromised. I feel extremely violated because this hacker knows who my boyfriend is and who my boss is and I just started this job two weeks ago! No I have my own iPhone iPad and MacBook so everything is set up on devices that are mine and as far as I know I never connected to anyone else's device and logged with my apple ID. But are you saying it is possible for someone to have obtained my apple ID and send an iMessage from their device with my contact information so it looks like it came directly from me? It's crazy I looked down at my iPhone and saw this message had just been sent that I did not type or send

I've lost my iPhone5 like 40 hours ago. I already turned the Lost mode on with Find my iphone app. But my phone has no data plan so it could not connect to the internet at all. I reported to the police, too. What else can I do? Can anybody advise?

I have an IPhone 4, and I wanted to reset it, but couldn't do it via computer because the "find my IPhone" was turned on. So I went to ICloud > Find My IPhone and just erased my phone from there. The was acting weird but I finally got to a black screen with the spinning circle. And it won't advance. I can't just hold the sleep button and home button down because my sleep button is broken! Any help? I have reset my phone before.

If you don't have Find My iPhone on, you can't lock it. You should report it to your carrier and your carrier might blacklist the phone from use. -

wat if i have lost my iphone and the person delets my icloud ID and enters his own new one can i still look find the phone using Find my iphone using my earlier ID or will it not pick up my phone as he changed the Icloud ID which was associated to me ID
if someone deletes icloud or even if you wipe phone it is not traceable anymore.

I have tried holding down the home and power button countless of times. It doesnt respond at all. Plug my phone to a charger and hold down the power button and my phone switched on. But it said Activation Required and said connect to Itunes. As e screen remains on the connect to Itunes screen, I disconnect the charger from my phone and my phone went dead instantly. My battery is full btw. Tried connecting to Itunes through my Macbook Pro but iTunes doesnt detect my device and the apple logo flashes for about a few seconds on my phone and then disappear and then came back on again. My Iphone has been connected to my laptop for about 30 mins and the apple logo has been coming on and off for 30 minutes now and Itunes has not detect my device yet.

I forgot my password for my iphone. I tried clearing it on the computer, it wouldn't do it because I need to turn Find my Iphone off. Not an option, my phone is locked! Then I tried to remote sweep it from find my iphone online. But my phone is offline, and it won't go online because my phone is disabled! Please help me fix this!

Log out of find my iPhone on someone else's phone?
I was forced to log in on find my iphone on someone else's phone. I know the person can't track me while my location services is off but there are many times I need to use maps for directions. Is there a way to log off on their phone? (No going on there phone is not an option. This person literally showers with their phone.)

Your earlier phone must have been originally intended for sale in another country and must have been purchased from somewhere other than an authorized Apple retailer. Phones that are intended to be sold in the UAE have FaceTime permanently disabled. The option is not there and cannot be made to work.

Ipod won't backup or install version 4.2
Please help! My IPod is version 3.1.3. I haven't backed it up/synced since October of last year. I wanted to upgrade it to 4.2 so I can use some of the new apps. I started the backup and it took about 30 hours. It completed and the sync completed.
