How can I search and find any new comments that have been posted to any of my wiki pages?

How to view new comments on Wiki or Blog Pages?

I am trying to find a way (either via RSS, via Email or via a custom search) to be able to identify OSX Server Wiki- and Blog-pages with new comments easily. Unfortunately this seems to be somewhat of a problem, since most searches I tried do not include comments. Plus, I could not figure out if there is a RSS feed for new comments on posts (the usual RSS feeds do not include the comments on the pages). Does anybody know a way to get this working with the 10.5 Server Collaboration tools?

I have searched this forum extensively and found lots of people with the same issues.. but no solutions. It seems like this just might not be possible with the Server Wiki. If anyone does find a solution I would love to hear what it is!
In the meantime.. I have been telling users to add a comment, then click the edit button, add the text "Comment Added" as the comment about the page edit, and then click save. This makes it so that the page has been "updated" and will show up in an RSS feed with the title "Comment Added". It is a silly solution and adds extra time and complexity for people.. but so far it is the best solution I have come up with.

Iphoto family share new comments

I have a shared photo album from a friend and on my OSX iphoto is has a blue dot on the album that iPhoto states"

A blue dot next to the shared photo stream’s name indicates that new photos, video clips, or new comments have been added. In addition, a number appears above the iPhoto icon in the Dock to indicate that new items and comments have been shared with you."
But how do I know which photo is new or what photo was commented on? I find no way to find that photo or comment in the 1000 plus photo's in there and I can't get rid of the blue dot?
Any ideas?

You can disable the blue dots in the System Preferences for Notification:
Open System Preferences > Notifications.
Select "Photos".
Then disable "Badge app icon".
It should work for Aperture and iPhoto as well. It does not help to find the photo in the shared stream, however. You can only tell by the blue speech bubble, that there is a new comment.

Viewing new comments on blogs and podcasts

Hello,
So, I open up iweb and the symbol with the number pops up on the iweb icon(which from what I've gathered is the "new comments"). Is there a way to just check the new comments, or do I have to go through my site and find them one by one. I allow comments on my pictures(as well as my blog and podcast) and I have a lot of pictures, so going through one by one to find comments doesn't seem to make much sense because it would take forever.

I just spent a lot of time trying to figure this out myself, but I finally did.
In iWeb, look to the left side of the page names in the left hand column. You will see a blue dot next to any page with new comments somewhere within. If the comment is for a blog entry, the blue dot will be next to the main blog page. Click on "entries" under that and look for the blue dot to the left of the blog entry titles.
If the comment is on a photo, there will be a little comment icon on all photos where comments have been left. The icon is hard to see and there's no apparent way to tell which photo might have new comments that I can see, bu it's there. The icon is a little white bubble in the bottom right hand corner of the photo -- it's a bit hard to see.

Finding new programs in Arch

Hello. I have my linux set up how I like it, but i always like to experiment and try new programs. So I was wondering, how do people in Arch find new programs? I know the website shows the lastest updates to packages, but it's not so useful if you focus is software exploration. Are there particular blogs or something that people use to keep up to date with new software and/or big updates/changes to programs?

Are you sure you know all the programs you already have? Coreutils has a lot of fine stuff.

Shared Review: Can't Check for New Comments or Publish Comments

I am having a problem with a network file share (SMB) Shared Review. I am not able to Check for New Comments or Publish Comments. When I click those buttons all I get is the green circle continuously spinning forever. Other members of my team are able to check for and post new comments. I am able to connect to the SMB file share outside of Acrobat just fine. I am using Acrobat Pro XI with the latest update 11.0.03.

Try the following steps :
1. Keep the review file closed and remove the review enty from the Tracker. For this "Go to View->Tracker. Choose the review file under the Review->Joined node and from right click options choose 'Remove review from Tracker'."
Note: Do not remove the reviews which you had initiated i.e. those under Sent node. Otherwise, the review will removed from the server also.
Alternatively, you can delete the Collab and Synchronizer folder from the following location:
/users/+username+/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/+version+/
2. Sign out from Adobe.com comment. For this "Go to Preferences->Adobe Online Services". and click sign out.
3. Now open the review PDF again and login with the correct credentials.

Default Font for new Comments

Is there any way to set the default font applied to all new comments?

Or you can just apply your text wrap object style to each frame as you go, but that's not much better than applying the wrap over and over.

I used the sample code from StamperUI.cpp as a starting point. I have tried 'LoadBitmap', 'LoadCursor' and 'LoadIcon' and none of these seam to work for me.
As I stated before, I used Visual Studio to create the icons in the resource file, so I would think that they would be recognized by the application.

Earlier comments added goes off while saving PDF with new comments

When I add comments to a PDF file which already has some comments, the earlier comments goes off and only the changes I add gets saved in the PDF file. At the same time in some other system the new comments are added correctly to the file (that is, the earlier comments doesn't go off)

Here is your problem. Every time you open a .doc to Pages it is a new document. When you work on in Pages it is a Pages file and not a .doc file. If you want to work in PAges save the file as the generic .pages and do the export for .doc. Keep that name and next time you Save as Word or export as word in the same location the .doc file will be overwritten with the new one. and you'll only have on .doc file and one .pages file.
If you want only have .doc files don't use Pages.

How to get notified when new comment is left on blog?

When comments are added to your site, a blue dot appears in the iWeb sidebar next to the blog page if you are connected to the Internet. iWeb's icon in the Dock will also display a red badge containing the comment count. ...But no email alerts.
For those, instead of iWeb's blog, you may want to consider using the free, web-based Posterous which provides email notifications aswell as posting blog entries via email:

As an alternative to setting up a basic hyperlink to your external blog, you can link to it from iWeb's navigation bar:
Create a blank internal page titled "Blog" (actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that Blog page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:

...Once published, clicking on "Blog" in the navbar will immediately redirect to your external Blog page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).

Prev Comment / New Comment in Forms

We have built custom forms using HCM F&P with fields such as Prev Comment & New Comment
We have workflow going upto 4-5 levels
For some of the IDs, the comments entered at one level is not getting displayed in the previous comment field of the next approver.
For some IDs, this works correctly.
Does this depend on missing authorization? Is there any other possible reason for this behavior?

Impossible/to heavy to find new movies in iTunes

Current its nearly impossible to find new Movies in iTunes.
section Movies - "purchase new movies" (dont know thats right translation for "neue Kauffilme")
Last time i go to this section it give 943 Movies and now gives 1.041 Movies ...
OMG
It gives nothing to sort the Movies wisely.
Only "Name", "Release", "bestseller" and "bestseller all time".
All 4 Options are sensless.
I wrote 4 suggestion to iTunes but i dont get a response - absolute nothing. (8 or more months ago)
At this time i must visit all 1.041 Movies and i must decide what is new and what is old ... but 1.041 Movies ... i guess i dont find all new Movies and its boring and waste of my time.
1 or 2 years ago iTunes reset the List and the category has "only" 100 - 200 movies - ok, thats barely ok but not 1.041 ...
I need a option "add to iTunes" and its easy to see which movies are added in last time (i must only notice the last added movie) or i need a easy alternative to export the list from all new Films from this category and i can import the list in excel and when apple add new movies in iTunes i can compare the old and new list and i see what is new and what is old.

That usually worked for me too. However there are some small differences with content encoded by Handbrake 0.9.2 vs 0.9.4. I'm running some tests to see if Handbrake is the "problem".
