Find out Ringtone of phone through callmanager

I recently upgraded our callmanager environment from version 8.5 to 10.5 about a month ago.  Today a user came to me saying that the ringtone changed on the phone since the upgrade and wants it changed back.  He does not know the name of the ringtone and will not sit at his chair cycling through all of the various ringtones.  We still have the old publisher available with the tftp and callmanager service turned off.  My boss will not allow me to turn on the tftp service so I can do a super copy of the users phone to another cisco 7975 phone to find out what the ringtone was.  Is there a way through callmanager to find out what ringtone was set to a certain phone?

There is no way from CUCM you can tell what Ringtone a user had selected or restore. The only way is I think you have to manually select it.
If your old ringtone is not in the list, then you may need to look into your ringlist.xml file.

  • Can't find imported ringtones on phone

I give up.  I don't know what else to try.  HELP
I made a couple of ringtones with mymxr (converted mp3 to m4r).  I got the ringtones to show up in the "tones" section of iTunes (although at one point one of them appeared in the "movies" section).  ITunes seems to sync ok but I can't find these ringtones listed with the tones that came with the phone (iPhone 5s).  I'm a newbie at all of this apple stuff and while I've read of others trying to do something similar nothing I've tried over the last three days has worked.
I believe it's possible to convert some of my favorite tones from my Blackberry to the iPhone but I'm not having any luck accomplishing this.  Any insight as to how to make this happen would be gratefully received.

When I click on the phone device in itunes and get the tabs on the top, I go to ringtones. If I check the sync ringtones box a window opens stating that if I do sync ringtones all of my music and videos on the phone will be removed. Why is this? I did it with my wife's phone because she only had a couple songs on hers but I do not want to wipe all of my songs off. Is this the only way? I don't even need the ringtone on my phone but I am trying to figure out what to do so i can do it on my wife's phone.
Highlight the file in iTunes and open "get info" by cmd+click or right click>>get info.
Make sure that the extension of the file is .m4r
Since you are not able to drag it out of iTunes on your desktop, it tells me that the extension could be something else other than what it should be i.e. .m4r. Also, hence, when you try to add it to your iPhone the file is being treated as a music file thereby trying to replace what you have in your music section of your iPhone.
If the file extension is not .m4r, this is what you need to do -
    1. Locate the file on your macintosh hard drive for this -
    2. Click your finder>>music>>iTunes>>iTunes music and then look for a folder called Unknown.
Note - If your iTunes library is not "clean" with random songs without artists, albums, etc. you might have more than one folders by name "Unknown" or some variant of it. So look around and locate the file on the hard drive.
    3. Drag it out on your desktop
    4. Right click and change the extension to .m4r
    5. Save and double click so that it gets imported back into iTunes and starts playing too on your mac
    6. You will find it under Ringtones. Sync in back on your iPhone.
Hopefully it will go well for you this time around.

  • Is their a way to unlock the screen to an I Phone that i found, so that I can find out who the phone belongs to

I found an I Phone & I would like to find out exactly who the phone belongs to,except the owner of the phone has a 4 number lock code on the screen . So my question is ,Is their anyway to unlock this I Phone so that I can figure out exactly who it belongs too & return the I Phone to its rightful owner?

With the device locked, unless the owner puts it into Lost mode and enters a number for someone to call, there is no way to do it. Attempts to try and enter a passcode will result in the device becoming disabled. Turn the device into law enforcement in the jurisdiction where you found it. If it was reported lost or stolen, they should be able to find the owner.

  • How do I find out if a phone has a clean ESN?

I am looking to buy an phone on ebay.  How can I know for certain if a phone has a ESN?

Making sure your purchase is a good purchase is always important, crossen. In many cases, you can check a Device ID at http://vz.to/U2wgl6 to see what services it's compatible with before you make the bid. If you need to know immediately if a Device ID is OK, then reaching out to Customer Service through the options at www.vzw.com/contactus would be best.

  • How do I find out my iPad phone number?

How do I find out the phone number of my iPad short of taking out the sim card, or must I do that?

Cell carriers do assign a phone number to 3G iPads, but knowing that number won't do you any good since it's not usable by the user in any way. It's strictly a way the cell carriers keep track of devices set up in their systems. The phone number is not printed on the SIM in any case, at least not with any carrier I'm familiar with.
For what purpose do you think you need to know the phone number? If you tell us what you're trying to do, we can perhaps offer suggestions.
    Regards.

  • Find out where my phone was last online

I lost my iPhone5 and it is offline I was woundering if I can find out where the last place it was online

In my experience, when I try to track a device in my family, if it is offline but it had a last location known, then when I first check the map, the old location is displayed before I get the info that it is offline.  I'm guessing that if there is no last known location, then you don't get such a view.

  • Can't find custom ringtone on phone!

    Hello,
I created a ringtone in Garageband, "shared" it as a ringtone to itunes, synced to phone, see this ringtone under "ringtones" on the iphone in itunes when the phone is connected, but cannot find it or use it on the actual phone.
I have tried several times by re-syncing but no luck. All I see are the original ringtones that came with the phone.
    Help please
    Thx
    Jim

  • How do I find out features on phone?

I am having trouble now that I activated my 4S phone hearing....where is the volume located...the button on the left side shows increased volume, but I cannot hear the people talking.

You can check a few things. First, as odd as this question may seem it has happened to many people so it doesn't hurt to ask...did you remove the plastic covering from the front of the device? If you haven't then you should. Although some like to keep it there as a screen protector it is best that you invest in an actual protector rather than try to use the shipping plastic. If that's not the issue, have you been using earphone in your device? Try plugging in the earphones and then taking them back out. Some have mentioned an issue where the phone may still think the headphones are still plugged in. You can also try the usual suggestions...reset/restart/restore your device to see if that fixes the problem. If none of that works, then visit your local Apple store if available and have the Genuis Bar take a look to make sure you don't have a defective device. You can also visit a VZW store or call tech support for additional troubleshooting. You can find the full owner's manual for your iPhone on the Apple support website (the link used to be in my signature but since the forum has changed I'm not sure if it's still there. Just go to Apple.com/support and you should be able to easily find it).
