Find reference material when copying
Hi,
I created a material A (MM01) with reference to an existing material B. Now I want to find the reference material (B) from which I copied. Where can I find this?
Can anyone help me on this?
Thank you
with MM03 you just display the material. What I'm looking for is the link between the new material and the reference material

Issue with "Find" in Bridge when searching external drive.
When using "Find" in Bridge (version 2.1.1.9) in CS3 to search for files on an external hard drive I must either check "Include Non-Indexed Files" or go to the external drive and build the cache for the folders I want to search. Otherwise the files will not be found.
Having to build the cache in the external drive or use non-indexed search slows down the search process. Is there a way around this. Bridge preferences are set to "Automatically Export Caches to Folders". I use SyncBack for back up to the external drive.Thank you for the reply. I thought that once the cache is built and exported to a folder, that folder would be indexed and ready for a search by Find. And when copying that folder to another drive the files would remain indexed and available to a search by Find on that drive.
I have not copied the central cache to the external drive. So I assume that when using Find to search the external drive it is looking at the caches in each folder on that drive. -
Getting the reference material details
Hi,

Finder issues when copying large amount of files to external drive
When copying large amount of data over firewire 800, finder gives me an error that a file is in use and locks the drive up. I have to force eject. When I reopen the drive, there are a bunch of 0kb files sitting in the directory that did not get copied over. This is happens on multiple drives. I've attached a screen shot of what things look like when I reopen the drive after forcing an eject. Sometime I have to relaunch finder to get back up and running correctly. I've repaired permissions for what it's worth.
10.6.8, by the way, 2.93 12-core, 48gb of ram, fully up to date. This has been happening for a long time, just now trying to find a solutionScott Oliphant wrote:
iomega, lacie, 500GB, 1TB, etc, seems to be drive independent. I've formatted and started over with several of the drives and same thing. If I copy the files over in smaller chunks (say, 70GB) as opposed to 600GB, the problem does not happen. It's like finder is holding on to some of the info when it puts it's "ghost" on the destination drive before it's copied over and keeping the file locked when it tries to write over it.
This may be a stretch since I have no experience with iomega and no recent experience with LaCie drives, but the different results if transfers are large or small may be a tip-off.
I ran into something similar with Seagate GoFlex drives and the problem was heat. Virtually none of these drives are ventilated properly (i.e, no fans and not much, if any, air flow) and with extended use, they get really hot and start to generate errors. Seagate's solution is to shut the drive down when not actually in use, which doesn't always play nice with Macs. Your drives may use a different technique for temperature control, or maybe none at all. Relatively small data transfers will allow the drives to recover; very large transfers won't, and to make things worse, as the drive heats up, the transfer rate will often slow down because of the errors. That can be seen if you leave Activity Monitor open and watch the transfer rate over time (a method which Seagate tech support said was worthless because Activity Monitor was unreliable and GoFlex drives had no heat problem).
If that's what's wrong, there really isn't any solution except using the smaller chunks of data which you've found works. -
Finder freezes when copying files to an external USB drive
I am copying video TS folders from my Mac Pro to a USB 3.0 drive, and Finder keeps freezing up. Oddly, it doesn't always happen, and it doesn't seem to be the amount of data--I've successfully copied 32GB at once, and had Finder crash trying to copy 6GB. Other details: the external drive is brand-new, and set up for OS X, I have repaired the permissions on the Mac's drive and just for kicks did the same on the Seagate USB drive. I was originally copying the files from a folder I had on the desktop, and read here that the desktop being involved in the equation is a Finder-killer, so I moved the files to a different folder. I have done this a lot in the past to a different drive with no problems whatsoever. Lastly, when this happens, all I can do a hard restart. Everything is fine when it starts back up, but after a dozen restarts in a day, I'm about to shoot myself.
Well, I can tell you this
Mac's can't use USB 3 so it's dropping to USB 2
If it's port powered, it could be drawing too much power and the Mac is cutting it off, use a powered USB hub.
If the external drive is formatted MBR with FAT32 (MSDOS) then that's a issue with over 4GB sized files, you need exFAT or HFS+
You may nee dot remove all data and Zero Erase the entire drive to map off bad sectors and before each time you copy a huge amount of data (if it hasn't ben done in the last 6 months) this catches new failing sectors.

how to change the path that sysprep were copied to reference computer when i capture the image from reference.
Should i modify some codes in LTIAPPLY.wsf? how to modify it?
Thanks.Sysprep and capture has *Three* steps.
1. Run sysprep on the local machine (easy).
2. Copy WinPE down to the local machine so we can reboot into winpe for capture.
3. Capture the drive in an *offline* state from within WinPE.
What is most likely happening is that you are having problems with step #2. 100MB is *WAY* too small to copy down WinPE. By default MDT will make this System partition much bigger, 499MB. IF you install Windows 7 from the default media. IT will only create
a 100MB partition.
By default MDT 2012 Update 1 and greater *should* recover to a fallback drive with the OS on it, however if you are running older versions that might not happen correctly.
If you are still having problems, copy your BDD.log file to a public share like OneDrive and copy the link here.

When copying raw files from Extreme IV card to hardrive, finder copies a few files then exits task and wipes the card clean of all images. Have tried new card and card-reader to no avail. Have done this many times on other macs with no problems.
Can edit files off the card, in CameraRaw, prior to 'copying' them, ie can 'save as' to the hard drive, so files seem okay on card, before I try to copy them using copy and paste.
Running OS 10.8.3 on a new macbook pro.Rita,
The process for determining what is causing the files to be corrupt can be a tedious one depending on the following:
1. Can you review the images on your camera's LCD screen without problems? If not then the problem is most probably either a corrupted/faulty memory card or a faulty camera. If this is the case then your best bet at recovery (of sorts) is to use a program such as BrezzeBrowser from BreezeSys to extract the embedded jpeg versions of the corrupted RAW files from within each RAW file. Chances are, you won't manage to actually repair the corrupted RAW file but the jpegs are better than nothing.
2. If the images review ok on your camera but are corrupted when viewing on your computer and there seems to be no other problem with other files on your computer then it may be either a faulty card reader or usb/firewire cable between the card reader and the computer that is the culprit. Try the card reader with a different cable and also try a different card reader to determine the cause of the corruption.
3. If your symptoms are that you get different files corrupting over time when viewing them on your computer then the problem may be any one of either failing RAM memory, hard disk, hard disk controller or IDE/SATA hard disk cables. This is where the troubleshooting can be pretty tedious testing then eliminating each item from the list of suspicious pieces of hardware. Try the card and card reader on an altogether different computer to see if the files transfer correctly to that computer. If so then the problem lies with your computer hardware. If you haven't already done so at this stage, backup all your important data immediately (hopefully you keep backs anyway).
Hope this helps. -
How to get finder to open folders when copying/moving files?
When I copy/move files and am still holding down the trackpad, I often have to copy them to subfolders. When I hover the mouse over the folder, a new finder window pops up. How do I configure finder so that when I mouse over the folder (when I am dragging something to be copied/moved) the folder opens, rather than a bunch of finder windows popping up for each subfolder?
Thanks for both of your answers.
*Amazon S3 Option*
I preferred the Amazon S-3 option for ease of use and setup, but this does not appear to work. The software accesses the file very quickly indeed, which is great, but I think due to the connection protocol the network volume reports 'zero' disk space remaining.
The MYOB application does not like this, so pops up an error message saying it needs at least '200kb of disk space to open'. This is because, upon opening, it writes a couple of 'lock' files to the disk where the data file is stored.
My previous solution with the Mac Mini used VPN to connect, thus allowing SMB shares for windows users and AFP shares for Mac, and when mounted these network volumes would report the remaining disk space of the Mac Mini itself. MYOB liked this.
Is there any way I can get the network share to report something other than zero disk space remaining?
*Dedicated Server Option*
Otherwise, the VPS option sounds very affordable. I am however unfamiliar with the world of dedicated servers and the Ubuntu OS, but surprised they are so affordable. I would rather go this route than change my home ISP.
Firstly I have never used Linux or typed anything into the command line. So, will I be able to use VNC to access the VPS?
Second, to access the data file, should I continue to use VPN? My current VPN server software supports Linux, so can I use this on Ubuntu?
Thanks again.. -
Does the material also gets copied from consignment fill up for a consignment pick up order when it is created with reference to consignment fill up. I ma not finding the material copied from source to target.
Any comments.Material should get copied.

Thanks,
ChamuHi Chamu,
You are missing the process_qty_unit in the IT_PRODUCT table. You can find the values for this from the table T006. Also, fill the input fields for the same.
Here is the modified code :
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-REF_GUID = V_GUID_I.
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-OBJECTNAME = 'PRODUCT_I'.
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-REF_KIND = 'B'.
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-FIELDNAME = 'PRICE_PRODUCT_ID'.
APPEND WA_INPUT_FIELDS TO IT_INPUT_FIELDS.
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-REF_GUID = V_GUID_I.
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-OBJECTNAME = 'PRODUCT_I'.
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-REF_KIND = 'B'.
WA_INPUT_FIELDS-FIELDNAME = 'BATCH_ID'.
APPEND WA_INPUT_FIELDS TO IT_INPUT_FIELDS.
WA_PRODUCT-REF_GUID = V_GUID_I.
<b>wa_product-process_qty_unit = 'Your product unit'.</b>
WA_PRODUCT-PRICE_PRODUCT_ID =
'0000000000000000000000000000000000013623'.
WA_PRODUCT-batch_id = '060630-EN1'.
APPEND WA_PRODUCT TO IT_PRODUCT.

Reference material for Packaging
Hi all,
I've created a reference material for packaging: material 100
There is a packing instruction (POP1) and determination record (POF1) for this reference material.
In the material master, I have also assigned reference mat 100 to 2 other materials:
material 101 --> reference mat = 100
material 102 ---> reference mat = 100
However when I try to pack these material, I get the error:
No packing instruction could be found for material 101
No packing instruction could be found for material 102
How can I resolve this?
Thanks,Hi friend,
Please find the below link
No packing instruction could be found for material "X"

HP LaserJet MFP M476dw paper size mismatch when copying or scanning from ADF
We have HP Color LaserJet MFP M476dw that has an issue when copying or scanning from the ADF.
Put a single A4 sheet in the ADF and choose copy, with all settings correct & no resizing, and the output copy is moved down the page (increased top marging by a couple of inches).
My initial thoughts were a paper size issue (e.g. treating A4 as Letter or vice versa) but all settings look correct. I have even done a reset and started over and the problem remains.
If I take the original and place it on the flatbed and copy from there with all the same settings then it works fine.
There is a similar issue when scanning from the ADF. Again, scanning from the flatbed works fine.
I've tried all I can think of. Does anyone have any further suggestions? Could it be a fault in the ADF?

Error when copying files using WebDav web folder
When copying a large group of files/folder to a 10gAS portal page we are randomly seeing the error: "An error occurred while copying some or all of the selected files" in Windows Explorer. Clicking "ok" will resume the file copy process.
The only error I see in the Apache log is:
[Mon Aug 2 18:00:06 2004] [error] OraDAV: Apache/OCI Error -9999/0: ORADAV: LOB was closed with active write operation
Any suggestions? I couldn't find anything on metalink, though i have logged an iTAR as well.My AirPort Extreme card was replaced on my MacBook by Apple. Prior to this, I was getting odd errors like the one outlined above. I do not receive this issue anymore, and I think I can attribute it to the hardware issue with the card.

Error code -36 when copying files to certain drives
I want to back up my Aperture Library. I have two external fire wire drives that give me this error:
The Finder cannot complete the operation because some of the data in Aperture Library could not be read or written. (Error code -36)
I don't get the error when copying to my Drobo, so I believe this problem is only related to my two fire wire drives. I reformatted one of them using Disk Utility, same problem.Today I had the same thing happen. I was copying some large (2gb+) video files from a USB2 FAT32 external drive to my other Mac formatted external drives, first time to a firewire 400 and then tried to a USB2. At about 750mb, the transfer stopped and the EXACT same dialog box appeared.
I ran Disk Utility on the source drive USB2 FAT32 to fix drive errors. No improvement.
As I've had issues under SL with my optical FW DVD drives (see that thread for details), I thought may be my FW drives don't like FAT32. So I tried the Mac USB2 drive. Not working either.
Finally, I realized I was routing the FAT32 drive into a cheap unpowered 4 port USB hub (Genesys Logic, Inc. chipset). So I unplugged the hub from the Mac Mini and inserted the FAT32 drive directly into the Mac Mini. Tada! Success was at hand. No problems transferring to either FW or USB drives.
So this tells me there is something flaky about some devices and how they are hooked up. That is the drives and files are OK. It is Snow Leopard that has the bug.
Mike, if you are still having problems and are comfortable using Unix CL, you may be able to use the DD command (so called "Data Dump") to transfer. This is a very robust method to transfer files and permits resumption if a transfer has died midstream. It can even transfer real corrupt files off of damaged disk drives regardless of drive format. I used DD successfully to move files off an eMac that had random hardware crashes (due to faulty counterfeit capacitors) that were interrupting the transfer.
