Find/Replace Missing With New Monitor

Hi,
I've been happily using DW CS4 for about a year now with 2 19" monitors. I recently am stuck using a single 22" monitor which is generally fine, but my Find/Replace window is now missing. I'm assuming it is off somewhere in the 'virtual' screen. How do I get it -back-? I tried resetting the workspace but although it brings together most of the windows, I do -not- see Find/Replace. (I -can- however see the Find/Replace results pane).
Ideas?
TIA.

Anyone? Driving me -nuts- not having a 'find' window!
I can see the Search -Results- pane, but not the window where one types in the text to 'find'.
Help!

  • How to replace #MISSING with 0 in Hyperion Financial Report

    I am developing report in Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio. The report shows #MISSING for no data and does not look nice. I want to replace #MISSING with 0 (Like I did in SmartVIEW). However, I could not find a way to do that in Financial Reporting Studio.
    Thank you for any help in advance.

    To replace no data (#MISSING) in cells, type a value in the No Data text box.

  • Replace #Missing with zero

    Hi All,
    Is this possible to replace '#missing' with zero with in a FIX Command in Calculation Script.
    Thank you.
    tvmk

    The two ways to change this without distroying your database are
    1. create a dynamically calculated member (call it account_zeroed) that checks to see if the account is #missing and returns a zero
    Soemthing like IF(@ISMBR(myscenario) and Account ==#Missing)
    0
    Else
    Account
    ENDIF
    2. Handle this in excel like it should be. If the user wants numeric zeros and they are using the classic Add-in then to get a numeric zero use (0) as your missing replacement. If smartview then use #numericZero

  • Replace #Missing with 0...

    Hi All,
    I have to replace #Missing with 0 in one BSO application.
    set cache high;
    set clearupdatestatus off;
    set notice low;
    SET MSG INFO;
    SET CALCPARALLEL 4;
    FIX(@LEVMBRS("Years",0),@LEVMBRS ("Period",0),@LEVMBRS("Entity",1),@LEVMBRS ("HeadqtrsOrFirm",0),@LEVMBRS ("AgentAccount",2),@LEVMBRS ("AgentAccount",3),@LEVMBRS ("AgentAccount",1),@LEVMBRS ("AgentAccount",0));
    "AgntCnt" (
    IF ("AgntCnt"==#Missing)
    "AgntCnt"==0;
    ENDIF
    ENDFIX
    But nothing happened...
    Can you please let me know how to change it.
    Thanks,
    Prathap

    why on earth would you want to do this? This would make the BSO cube huge and long to calc. There are other ways to simulate this without actually loading all the zeros.
    1. Add a dimension to the cube (or use an existing dimension) with a member like input. the have a dynamic formula on a second member called reporting with the formula If(Input == #missing) 0; ENDIF
    The users would retrieve using the reporting member,
    2. In smart View or the Essbase Add-in in the options replace #missing with (0) that will return a numeric zero for #missing. If you are using smart View you could also use #numericzero it does the replacement and has additional functionality if you send data

  • Mac Pro (Early 2008) failing with new monitor

    Hi All,
    I am having a strange problem with my Mac Pro and new display (ViewSonic VX2703MH-LED 27-Inch LED-Lit LCD Monitor). I first noticed some strangeness when I attempted to temporarily run the maching on a new Samsung HDTV that doubles as a computer monitor. I am using a Mini-DV to HDMI adapter, which worked great on two Samsung monitors I'd previously purchased. Anyway, I returned those because I needed ones with standard VESA mounts. So when I plug any of the new monitors in, I am getting some very unstable behavior. Sometimes the mac won't even start up, not even in safe mode. I was able to check all of my disks and zap the P-RAM, and all seems OK, yet every time I am able to startup and login successfully, it crashes after a short while after the display starts acting up. Horizontal and vertical lines come through and all of the color gets messed up. Sometimes my startup screen looks like this:
    I found a table on apple.com that shows which Mac models can use Mini DVI --> HDMI adapters, but it is incomplete - it doesn't mention the Mac Pro from early 2008 at all. I was going to install Mavericks, hoping that might help, but I couldn't burn a bootable DVD copy of Lion because it is a tad too large for a DVD, even though I've read on several sites that this is possible! I am scared to blindly do the upgrade, because I am pretty sure this is some kind of hardware issue. Anyone have any experience with this? I don't think it can be just the Viewsonic monitor because I had similar troubles on the Samsung TV...however the previous Samsung monitors are not here to test. Any insight appreciated!

    RE: Mac Pro Replacement Graphics cards
    1) Apple brand cards,
    2) "sold in the Apple store" cards, and
    3) "Mac Edition" cards ...
    ... show all the screens, including Boot up screens, Safe Mode, Installer, Recovery, debug screens, and Alt/Option boot screens. At this writing, these choices include:
    1) Apple brand cards:
    • Apple-firmware 5770, about US$250** works near full speed in every model Mac Pro, Drivers in 10.6.5
    • Apple-firmware 5870, about US$450
    2) "sold in the Apple store" cards
    • NVIDIA Quadro 4000, about US$1200
    • NVIDIA Quadro 5000, about US$2500
    3) "Mac Edition" cards -- REQUIRE 10.8.3 or later:
    • SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 MAC Edition, about US$480** Vendor recommends Mac Pro 4,1
    • EVGA GTX 680 Mac Edition, about US$600
    The cards above require no more than the provided two 6-pin aux power connectors provided in the Mac Pro through 2012 model. Aux cables may not be provided for third-party cards, but are readily available.
    If you are Meet ALL of these:
    • running 10.8.3 or later AND
    • don't care about "no boot screens" etc AND
    • can re-wire or otherwise "work out" the power cabling, THEN:
    You can use many more cards, even most "PC-only cards"

  • My HD on my Macbook pro 13" is done and I replaced it with new now I cannot boot off Disc

    I had to replace my HD on my MBP 13" with new, I have been trying to boot off MAC OS X Snow Leopard install DVD 10.6 but cannot! HELP needed!

    You need to use the ORIGINAL installation disc(s) that came with your machine. The SL disc is just an upgrade disc. If you don't have the original disc(s) you can call Apple at 1-800-MYAPPLE and, with your serial number handy, order a set of original replacement discs. Cost will be about $20 + tax, I believe.
    Good luck,

  • HELP with new monitor purchase.

    I know, I hate "surveys" too. I'm thinking of attacking my color and dark printing issues w\LR and CS4, by investing in a new monitor. I currently have an 20' early edition Apple Cinema Display. The monitor is the last hardware (software) item in my current upgrade cycle. From those folks who are NOT having color or print problems, what displays are you using (or would recommend)? Ah, and price is an issue. Apologies in advance to those who think this is not appropriate use of the Forum. And sorry, I did post this in the Camera Raw section, but there is a different cast of characters here.

    If you are looking for a monitor that has execellant color profiling ability, cost should not be a priorty. There are good monitors out there for general use. If you are serious about color management you need to spend more then the usual amount, for a monitor from the likes of NEC, Ezio, or Phillips.

  • My hard-drive (SSD) on my MacBook Air crashed; had to replace it with new SSD! Installed Mavericks but now cannot find 'free' iPhoto App to download and install. Any help?

    Trying to re-download & re- install my iPhoto since replacing my SSD. Its no longer free & I have had it downloaded/ installed it when I installed OS Mavericks the first time. Now since the SSD is replaced, not sure it recognizes it & does not let me download/ installed iPhoto for free. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you -

    Log into the App store using the Apple I'd you used to set up the computer and reinstall from purchases (you may have to unhide or accept it)

  • Replacing assest with new chapter points

    It seems a long way round to do a very simple task. Is there something i missed, or perhaps it has been added to CS3 Encore?
    After making a project all 24 chapter points are there ready and 3 page menu system works great.
    All i need to do is replace the asset but i also want all the chapter points to be loaded as per the new asset. The only way i find to do this id to delete the old asset and load in the new one. The problem is you lose all the chapter point references in the menus and so have to redo them all.
    Does seem not a constructive way forward. Did i miss something? Can it just not be done?

    I also run into a similar problem. I want to update the timeline with a new video file where the chapter points has moved.
    The only way I could make this happen is to delete the timeline, create a new timeline with the new video file, then manually relink all 25 buttons!
    Certainly anyone who has done serious DVD authoring is going to run into this same issue.
    This is a needed functionality. Even if it cannot be fixed easily, there are several work around that should be easier to implement. For example:
    (1) Allow replacing one timeline with another. This means I can create a new timeline using the new video file, then use the new timeline to replace the old one so that buttons pointing to chapters on the old timeline now points to the same numbered chapter on the new timeline.
    (2) Allow auto chapters linking. After linking button 1 to chapter N, there should be an option to link button 2 to chapter N+1, etc until all buttons are linked
    I'm using encore 1.5. When this function is added, I will upgrade.

  • Assistance needed with new monitor and printing from LR3

    I just purchased a new IPS monitor.  I have calibrated it using the HP Display assistant that came with it.  It is an HP ZR 22w.  I saved my calibration as a preset  - however - this is not appearing as a profile when I try to select it in the print module.  the checkbox for "include display profiles" is ticked.  If I allow the printer to manage - the pictures are much warmer than on the IPS display.  My printer is a canon mg6120 and I am running windows 7.  I would appreciate any assistance that anyone can provide.  Thank you

    I think the "HP Display assistant" is a software tool, is that right?
    Ideally with Lightroom, you should use a hardware calibration/profiling tool (Spyder, Eye One, Color Munki etc).  In particular, you need a monitor profile that contains colour space information.  I had a look through the HP Display Assistant user manual, and it appears the software does calibration but it probably doesn't put colour space info in the profile.  It'll be better than nothing, but a hardware tool is better.
    However:
    I saved my calibration as a preset  - however - this is not appearing as a profile when I try to select it in the print module.  the checkbox for "include display profiles" is ticked.  If I allow the printer to manage - the pictures are much warmer than on the IPS display.  My printer is a canon mg6120 and I am running windows 7
    This is not what you want to do!  The profile that the HP Display Assistant creates is for the monitor, and only for the monitor.  It gets the right white point and tone curve for the monitor.  What you need in the profile drop-down in LR print module is a printer profile, not a monitor profile (except on very special circumstances).
    I'm not familiar with the MG6120, but when I googled "profiles for canon mg6120" I got a lot of hits, so I assume profiles are available.  It's quite likely that some came with the printer driver, and were installed with the printer software.  When you select "profile" in LR print module (you may well have to go to "Other..." to see them all) then there should be profiles for the printer - possible lots of them - one or more for each paper type.  If they're not there, see the Canon documentation (or google it) to find out how to load them.
    If you can't find any profiles for the printer, then try using sRGB (or probably it's "sRGB IEC...").  Without colour management, your printer will probably expect sRGB images, so this should be roughly right, but a specific profile for the printer is better.  This is one of those very special circumstances when something other than a printer profile (and sRGB isn't a printer profile) may be better than nothing.

  • Frame9: Find/replace missing fonts?

    Search function doesn't seem to work, so I hope you'll bear with me.
    When I open a frame book/documents, I get a message in the FrameMaker Console: "The "<foo>" Font is not available. "<bar>" will be used in this session.
    Question: In InDesign, there's a font find/substitute feature (I don't recall the proper wording offhand). Is there something similar in Frame 9? (I've looked but can't find one.)

    Even though our production environment is FM7.1/Unix, presumably opening in FM9/Win, cleaning up fonts, and re-saving as MIF would allow subsequent opening in FM7.1 (or would it ... I can conceive of Unicode font encoding issues arising).
    If you ever need a workflow that crosses the Unicode barrier (between FrameMaker versions 7.2 and 8) you have to test everything, since the additional power of Unicode encoding may introduce stuff, that will get lost in previous versions.
    Of course, for those without FM9 or 10, the classical way to handle Missing Fonts was to save as MIF, and use a text editor to perform global search&replace on the phantoms. There are just too many places for fonts to hide to chase them down from within pre-9 Frame.
    IMO, the even simpler and almost always good enough method was to just switch off the »Save Unknown Font Names« in File > Preferences before opening and saving such files. This replaces those font references with the default font (which in turn can be set in the maker.ini, if you really need something special).
    With three actions File > Open/Save/Close All Files in Book (press the Shift key before clicking the menu) even complete books are cleaned-up quite easily.
