Find ringtone in the cloud
How do I find out if a ringtone is stored in the cloud? I had to restore my iPhone and the ringtone did not restore. For some reason, the file is not on my computer (in a format I can find anyway). My phone is fine now and I would like to simply find/selectively restore the ringtone. If restoring the ringtone requires a whole phone restore, that's not worth the risk. Thanks
I called Apple Care and they told me the only way to restore is buying them back again. Ridiculous, specialy if you are buying a new iPhone and you have to shell money again for your ringtones. They are not back up in iCloud or local backup.

The update to my iphone 4s (ios7) caused a glitch in my phone. I was sent a new phone. I have been unable to get my photos and apps OFF my old phone. They are not saving to the cloud even though I have photo sharing turned "on". Help???
Have you rebooted since the deletions. That will empty a number of caches and may restore the freed up space. Also open the iPhoto Library package with the Finder as shown in this screenshot
locate the iPod Photo Cache folder and delete its contents. Make no other changes to the contents of the iPHoto LIbrary Package.

First, make sure you are signed in to the iTunes & App Stores:

Finding contacts in the Cloud or on phone - Help!
Removed Outlook from my phone (and work computer) and have no contacts but can see phone numbers. IF I send a text, I can see the name and number. But I have no names for those numbers I may have called or texted earlier? How do I access the contacts in the Cloud if they are stored there and get them to appear on my phone? I do have an excel spreadsheet that I exported contacts to if that helps.

You should be importing your photos to your computer regularly. When you do this, you can erase the photos from the iPhone. -
Can't find ringtones in the itunes store

I have not purchased ringtones in a while and I can't seem to find them anywhere in the iTunes store. I have tried searching for "Tones and/ or Ringtones," and I get music, books, etc... but no ringtones. What am I doing wrong?The ONLY place to buy pre made ringtones is from your iphone. You can create a ringtone from most any sound file. Google will find several free ways to do this. -
I've noticed that everytime I download i Tunes i have several songs missing. I have a new computer and have noticed that I'm missing even more songs, but they are not in my cloud. Also, songs I thought I had lost forever are back in my library. What can I do to get my missing songs back?
With the iPad connected to the computer, while iTunes is running, click on the iPad name on the left side under devices. Click on the Movies tab and look for Movie Rentals. You want to "Move" the films to the iPad.

I purchased the Killers new album and for some reason now my computer says it can't find the files. So I tried to download the album again off my iTunes acount but the cloud button won't appear. Does anyone know why this is happening?
These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download. I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them who are requiring the one-time only download restriction. To get it onto your other devices you will need to sync it via a computer. Depending upon what country that you are in, Audible.com have their own app (Audiobooks from Audible) so you might be able to buy direct from them, though I don't know whether you can buy within their app or download audiobooks directly from them within the app e.g. whether they need to be copied via a computer. -
I have followed the directions - and have downloaded Find My Ipad from Apple Store onto my Ipad2 and enabled the Find My Ipad in the Cloud settings. Now what do I do? No where does it tell me! Not in the user guide, nor any of the help pages. I think I need to put the Find My Ipad in the Cloud - but does this mean in the dropbox? and if so, how do I do that? I tried to drop and drag but it would not do that. I would think I would need to have it on my PC Windows 7 but I cannot figure out how to download the software. Please help. Thank you.

I did a sync in itunes and now almost all of my songs have disappeared from my itunes library. I'm sure they're in the cloud, but what if I want to play one on my computer? How do I find them?

My husband's iPhone contacts were commingled with mine. After a couple of hours at the APPLE store, we thought it was straightened out so he deleted my contacts from his phone. That automatically deleted my contacts on my 5s as well. I have a backup from the old iPhone in the cloud but don't know how to access it. Where do I go to be able to open the old one up? Then what? By Default the Buddy lists are hidden (not Displayed) in Messages.
First go to Messages Menu > Preferences > Accounts
If the Set up of System Preference > Mail, Contacts and Calendars included your "old" iChat Accounts then these should be in the Account listings in Messages.
If not you will have the iMessages Account and the Bonjour Account that may or may not be active.
If your iChat accounts are not there you can add then in the "normal" iChat way of using the + button below the list.
In the Add Account Pane the Apple options have been removed to create a simpler "AIM" entry (you just need to add the Apple ID is full)
Once you have the accounts in the list or Enable the Bonjour Account then the Window Menu gets an item called Buddies with the CMD +1 keystrokes.
This is a combined list (even if you only have one account logged in).
It can be split in to separate Buddy list by going to Messages menu > Preferences > General Section and Unticking the item about gathering all accounts into one list.
This will separate the Buddy list giving each a separate CMD + # Keystroke.
The Main Messages Window/Chat Window/Interface can access the Buddies.
New Message icon top left
Blue + Icon top right that appears
Choose Buddies (drop down)
This tends not to be very clear as to which Buddy List the Buddies belong to.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative to iCal that will interface with the Cloud so it works on the iPhone and the Macbook? I find iCal to be poorly designed and not very efficient. I waste a lot of time entering information because you can't go to a specific day and enter information, nor can you navigate between months and add information on a specific date by clicking on the date. You can't easily scroll month-to-month and once you do by scrolling through nine months to get to where you want to be, you cannot enter information by clicking on a specific day in the month and entering information. I just called Apple and they verified that this is the way it works. You cannot go to a date and enter information, you keep getting thrown back to today and then you have to go into the calendar and change it manually on the screen. It is just not efficient.
