can you pls tell me how to find a role from report.
i.e a particular report exists in abc role.
pls help. its urgent and i cant go thru' n no. of roles and search for a report inside that.

Hi,
There is no relationship between reports and business areas. Each report can be built from many folders. Each folder can be in many business areas.
However you can try the following SQL which may give you the result you want for an v5 EUL. You will have to modify for Discoverer 4 EUL:

How to find Query Name from Report Name

I am trying to find a the query name for program AQFKSYSTQV000045ZCHECKNUMBERLU I have looked in Standard Work Area under all of the user groups but no luck. It is currently only in our Production System. Please suggest any other places I can look.

I apologize for not seeming like I have a clue....I did search the Forum...and maybe I wasn't clear with my question....again I apologize.....I am somewhat familiar with query and I understand that the query name is probably ZCHECKNUMBERLU. My issue is that I cannot find the user group. I have broken It is not a user group under Global Area or Standard Area. For example....We have a query named ASETAQUISITION. The program name is AQFKAM==========ASETAQUISITION...This query is located in the AM User Group....Easy Find. However, the program in question is AQFKSYSTQV000045ZCHECKNUMBERLU. I have broken this program name apart every way I can think of and I cannot find a user group in my global or standard Area. So I guess I should ask, by looking at that program name, how do you determine what the user group name is so I can find the actual query?

Find role from transport

There is a role which is present in production system but does not exist in Development nor testing system.
I want to find a transport which has this role in it. Also want to know who deleted the role from development system.

Table E070 - This stores the names of all transport requests in the system, both the released and open ones, The table contains the master entry for all orders ever since created in the development system along with the status

SUIM u2013 Change documents - For roles - Give the role name, Date range and select overview of change documents. It wil give the list.

Also,Go to STMS - Import Overview - select the import queue and then click on import history.

How to find a query name from report name

I have a report in my system with the name AQICMM==========P2============ . I believe this was created from a query. How to find the query corresponding to this report ? I need to change the logic for certain columns of the report. How to know if this was created from SQVI or SQ01 or any other transaction.

Found it..Query name is P2. It was in a different query area..Standard area and not custom area where I was initially looking at.

How to find Querry Name from report name?

Hi.
I run a custom transaction , but when i try to see it's program it give me dump. Then i used SE93 transaction to find out program but there was querry written as "AQCSSYSTQV000001ZPUBLICITY====' in program name.
Now i have to find the Query Name by which the program name "AQCSSYSTQV000001ZPUBLICITY====" is generated?

AQCSSYSTQV000001ZPUBLICITY====
AQ means - ABAP Query
CS - then 2 chars for the query area
SYSTQV000001 - then 12 characters for the user group
ZPUBLICITY - this is your query name
You have to check you are in the correct workarea and user group, or you will not see your query.

May be I am not conveying the message properly.
Let me try to do it again.
I have an excel sheet which is created by somebody else and send me by mail.
This excel sheet is having connectivity to the BI server and pulling data from BI.
What I want to know is to get the BI report and view name from the excel sheet so that I can do some modification in the report.
Please not the owner of the excel file is un-reachable.
Let say I have uploaded the sample Excel in the following URL http://www.fileflyer.com/view/VSHtOA8.
This excel file is pulling data from our BI Server
Could anybody tell me the report path, name and view name from the excel file

Based on my research, I find that the general properties of all the items (including Date Sources, Datasets and reports) on the report server will be stored in the Catalog table in ReportServer database. So that the report name (correspond to Name column)
and report id (correspond to ItemID column) also be stored in the table. If we want to select the report name based on the report id, we can use the query below:
use ReportServer
select Name
from dbo.Catalog
where dbo.Catalog.ItemID='D12C939B-4309-4364-A025-BFDB5203EE0B'

Find Triggered report name in the function module.

Hi All,
A function module is being called by many Reports say (100). Now the question is, I need to find out the Triggered report name in the function module where I can do required logic change based on the report. I cannot include an import parameter in the function module to capture the Report name, for this solution I need to change 100 reports. Is there any better way to find the Triggered report name in the Function Module?

Mapping between the query/report and the role with technical names - BI Sec

How to find the mapping between the query/report and the role with technical names ?
Like in R/3 we can find the mapping using table AGR_TCODES or thourgh SUIM. However in BI all reports have tcode RRMX.
So. how to find the role for a given query/report like sales report with technical names?

I looked into this quite a while ago and cannot remember the exact details, but I think there were 3 tables needed together with a structure to explore with a function module, and you need to use the program ID to think them.
If you look in SQ01 then I am sure you will find one of the tables, and then search from there onward.
Alternately, while searching you might find a nice report which does this for you.

Hi Nithya,
You can get the technical name by selecting the role in the portal where the report is enclosed you will generally find the report in description then identify the report you are looking then double click on that you will get a window pop-up in that you will have details tab there click on the details the your Query technical name will be displayed.
EX : zqry_w001 Then replace W with Q and seach in analyser or Designer.

How do I find out what the name of the reports server is?

Hi Everyone,
I am connecting to a remote machine using gotomypc.com and have started up Reports Builder 10g. I know very little about installation of Oracle on this machine. Just enough to log into Oracle 10g and run tools like the Report Builder, TOAD, etc. When I run a report from the Report Builder I get a web browser with a blank report. It works when I run a paper report. I am guessing that the Reports Server is not running or not configured properly.
Can you tell me how to find out what the name of this Reports Server is and/or how to start it up?

I realize this is old, but... You can find out your servers name by looking at the $ORACLE_HOME\reports\conf\rwservlet.properties file. It has a entry for SERVER. Should also have a corresponding conf file after starting up OC4J and activating the server for developer installs.
Next, you can also run rwdiag. It will show you all report servers available to your installation. This is interesting when Multicast is used by Reports (10g). Ran into issues with servers named the same not on the hardware I was expecting.... ;)

In PFCG transaction, we can see the simple roles available inside a composite role.
But I want to identify the table name or report name or transaction name which will help me to identify simple roles for all composite roles.

Do you have any idea, of any report/transaction can provide the same result.
Similarly please let me know, if there is any report/transaction/table which can provide mapping of all simple and derived roles.
Transaction code SUIM does not provide this facility.

I ahve got the program name from the Transaction code of the Query. I also found out the name of the Query but I could not find out the name of the "Infoset". Please help me to find out the name of the Infoset either from the Query Name or from the Program name.

Thank you for your reply. Actually. We have got transaction name of report and from that we found out the name of the Program and from that Program we have utilised the FM to find out the Query name. But we are unable to find the name of Infiset as we have to Download this Infoset from DEV and it is to be uploaded into QUALITY.
But we are not sure about the Infoset.
I could not understand your sentence "When Open it".
